it is hard to believe we have been taking our family beach trip for the last 7 years. ben david was literally 6 months old when we took our first trip!! times have changed...no more swimmie diapers, naps or pack and plays!! i must say...the trip has become more and more fun each year, as if that was even possible! here are some pics for you:
there were a TON of expert fishermen on this trip!!! sharks were caught, sting rays...all kinds of sea creatures!!
even grandmommie and poppie tried their hand at cornhole!
and this year....THE SALTY OLYMPICS!! here is a pic of the opening ceremonies. i believe aunt anna is about to "light the torch" in this one.
kicked it off with a sand sculpture competition
i am proud to say the wrights won this one by a landslide! we even solicited some unbiased judges who graciously took a break from sunbathing to pick a winner.

there were lots of other competitions...the wright vs. anderson adult volleyball match (we sadly lost), homemade ice cream competition, mini golf challenge, crab hunt (who caught the biggest) kid's cornhole...more i can't even remember!
when it was all said and done and the points were tallied...the anderson clan took first place in the first annual "salty olympics." the wright's brought home 2nd place this year, but never fear...we will conquer in 2014.
