Marmie and Poppy took James, Ben David and their cousin Kai on a super fun, "boy cousin only" beach trip last year. Addie and Caroline have been counting down until it was their turn…and just a few weekends ago, the countdown came to an end!!

Only Marmie and Poppy are capable of pulling out all the stops and creating the most perfect, memorable beach trip for two little ladies who love each other like sisters…"cousin sisters!" Beach time, pool time, special suppers made by Poppy…life just doesn't get much better than this!!

So this past August 14 marked the big 4-0 for me! I can't even really believe i'm 40. It makes me wonder if 80 year olds just really still feel 20 inside?? In an effort to help me reclaim my youth, my ever so thoughtful and creative husband planned a fun day for just the two of us at the white water center!

It was really a blast getting to hang out on a weekday together and be adventuresome! 

The birthday extravaganza continued with a Saturday full of surprises…starting with a fun shopping outing with friends, a pool date, then surprise dinner with my childhood friend Jessica and her husband Jade, capped off with a semi-surprise party planned by my family!

All things considered…a pretty awesome birthday celebration!
