In January we had an extraordinary opportunity to join in on a trip to Paris, France with Annaliese and Evan! It was such a treat to take a full 5 days and go to Europe! This was the longest we had ever been away from our kids, not to mention the first international travel we had done since having kids as well!
We had an amazing time…packed everyday full! Every morning we started off with a delicious, freshly baked almond croissant. We may go back one day just for those. We stayed in a charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment that was full of quaint detail, located right beside the notre dame cathedral. Our touring took us there, along with other sites such as the "bridge of locks" we visited on a walking tour.
We were able to go to several museums, the Louvre of course…also the Muesee de Orsay (personal favorite of my sister and I:). The impressionist paintings there was amazing. We walked down the Champs-Elysees as well and enjoyed the Orangeree Museum in good company with our friend Andreas who flew from Germany to spend the day with us!
The Eiffel Tower was spectacular and did not disappoint!
Probably my favorite "haunt" was and rather unique flea market where we stumbled upon some cool paintings and other fun decor items.
Every meal was such a treat, from the soufflé restaurant, to the place where Evan accidentally ordered liver, to the fine dining for annaliese's birthday! Annaliese and I ate our weight in french onion soup:)
All in all, we had an unforgettable trip..
Au Revoir!!
