Cruisin'

I am finally taking some time to post pictures of the WONDERFUL honeymoon cruise Brian and I went on back in April. I have never had such a great time, it was definitely the best vacation I've ever had!!! We went on the Royal Caribbean cruise line and would recommend it to anyone. It was a 7 day western caribbean cruise where we visited Jamaica, Grand Caymen, Royal Caribbean's private resort in Labadee, Haiti and Cozumel (this port was cancelled however due to the swine flu outbreak.) Brian and I had such an awesome time we are ready to go cruisin again. He is so much fun to travel and hang with I'll go anywhere with him (yes Brian I will go to Asia with you if you REALLY want to, just find us some nice places there. I don't want to pee in a hole in the ground and things like that - I want modern conveniences!! :)
Here we are waiting for our ship (The Freedom of the Seas - the biggest ship out there right now) to set sail. This is the Port of Miami:

Here we are in Jamaica at the Green Grotto caves. The funnest thing we did in Jamaica though was hike the Dunn River Falls. They are several hundred feet in height and you start down on the beach and climb up holding onto a train of people's hands and getting nice and wet. I don't have any pics but we did buy the DVD of us climbing them - it was a BLAST and a must do for anyone that goes to Jamaica!! Yay mon!

We had some delicious jerk chicken while we were in Jamaica at a little out of the way restaurant, it was soo good!
On the Grand Caymen islands we snorkeled with the sting rays and that was a lot of fun. We didn't have our digital camera with us, just a waterproof, disposable one so no pics of that adventure to post. Fun stuff though and the Caymen is so beautiful!!!
Dinners on the cruise were always a blast! Plan to gain 5-10 lbs off the food they are stuffing you with all the time. We got put on a table with 2 other couples (one from Denmark, the other San Diego) and enjoyed hanging with them every night at the dinner table! We participated in a game called "The Quest" with them and even played on a dodgeball team one afternoon. The name of our team was Team Remi in honor of our main waiter (Remi is there next to me in this pic.)
Here is Patrick (from San Diego) posing with dessert one night - look appetizing anyone??

There were 2 formal dinner nights:

Here is the royal promenade - there were shops all along the promenade as well as parades and entertainment, pretty cool huh?

This was Brian's favorite thing on the cruise - the flowrider where you can surf and boogey board.
I even tried it out. Well slight correction, on the first day there the announcer was looking for volunteers and guess who volunteered me? Brian did. So I was the first one on the ship to try it. Of course I wiped out immediately but oh well, it gave us something to laugh at. (This is the 2nd time I tried it out and did much better.) Along with the flowrider they had an ice skating rink, arcade, kareoke bar, dance club, mini golf, simulated golf, rock climbing wall, pools & hot tubs, basketball court, fitness center, and spa, just to name a few things to keep a person entertained while at sea. :)
In Labadee, Haiti Royal Carribean has their own private resort. There we went down the world's longest zip line over water, it was FUN!

Here is our ship in the background (also taken in Labadee, Haiti.)

Here we are on the front of the ship on our last day there:

Every night we would come back and find our stateroom attendant had left us clean towels in the form of an animal. We had an elephant, a bat, a sting ray and a monkey to name a few.

There was the mandatory test drill they did so we knew what to do in case the ship started sinking or something. Gotta love those stylish life preservers!
So we are already thinking about going again - say April 2010, for our 1 yr anniversary. This time we will try eastern or pacific caribbean. Anyone want to join us?

More Wedding Pics

Just wanted to share some more pictures of our wonderful wedding day!!!

Here is our new little family standing outside the temple doors. Aren't we a cute family?

Love these guys in their suits!!!
Brian and I as we came out of the temple
JUST MARRIED!!!! Could we be smiling any bigger?
Everyone in front of the Mt. Timpanogos temple
My family - the Hadlock's and cousin Caroline who was visiting from Belgium. I have such an awesome and great family, I wouldn't trade them for anything. My parents constantly help me out so much with the boys and everyone has been so supportive of me. I love my 2 sweet sister in law's to death and was thrilled to discover I get 5 more sisters (in law's) from Brian's side - yeah!! From the beginning they were so nice and wonderful to me and the boys and that hasn't changed. I just love them. I am waiting on some more pictures so hopefully I can post some of the Pratt side.
The Baker side of the family (this is Brian's wife, Tanya's family who have been so great and accepting of me and the boys. They traveled from Texas, Arizona, Washington, California and North Carolina to come to our wedding - how is that for supportive and nice??)
This is one of my closest friends, Carrie from Massachusetts. We met over 14 yrs ago while working at Dentrix and have remained close ever since, even though she has lived in Massachusetts for the last 9 or so yrs. She knew Brian as well since she worked at DTX with us & said from the beginning of our relationship she would fly out & be at our wedding if we ever got married. So true to her word out she flew out the week of the wedding for us. She treated me to a pedicure and we did other fun girl things (shopping, lunch, etc) during my wedding week.

Paxton wanted to help me with my dress - I thought this was so cute!
Our rings

Me kissing Brian after we cut the cake and he had cake all over his mouth

Cute pic of me and the girls at the temple

Bridal shot at the Millennial Falls reception center

I cracked up when I saw this picture of the kids "fighting" - it was so funny!
We have the CUTEST kids in the world - aren't they the sweetest?? I LOVE this picture of them all together in front of the waterfall. My boys are excited to have sisters and I think the girls like the idea of having little brothers. What an awesome day this was!!!! Today was the 2 week mark since we were married and we are already separated! LOL, let me explain. Since the boys only have school for another 3 weeks I didn't feel right about yanking them out of school to move up there yet & so I'm staying at my parent's house with the boys until school is out. This makes for an interesting start to our marriage since we don't get to see each other except on the weekends.....well, who says conjugal visits are only for inmates? There might be a mid week conjugal visit or two to get a girl through the week, who knows? :) But absence makes the heart grow fonder right? Well I keep trying to tell myself that but this living apart actually sucks and I'm anxious for this "transition period" to be over with so we can all be together!!!!

A New Chapter in Life Has Begun

Friday April 24th was the BEST day of my life because Brian and I were MARRIED! It was such a perfect and special day, I will remember it forever!!!!! We were married for time only in the Mt Timpanogos temple and later that night had a wonderful open house reception at Millennial Falls up in Draper. So many family members and friends came by to offer their congrats and best wishes, it was quite the night (in more ways than one :)

Here are some pictures of our special day! Brian's nephew's wife Kristy took these awesome pictures - didn't they turn out great? We are thrilled with them! The kids all looked wonderful and were so happy for us (OK Parker & Paxton each had a moment at the temple - you will notice that in one of the pics - but the rest of the time they were their normal happy, active selves.)

I especially love these 2 pictures. She just captured by the look on my face how happy & in love I am with Brian, he truly is the love of my life and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him. Morgan and Madi are such great girls I'm excited & privileged to get to be a part of their lives. My boys are so excited to have all of us become a family & get some sisters & have Brian around to do guy things with. I plan to create a new blog and when I do I'll post a link here so you can start to follow our life as we now have doubled in size. I think that means double the fun we will have with the 3 of these wonderful and special people!
OK back to more pictures of our day.

In front of the temple doors - if you are noticing Parker you will see that I told you the kids each had a moment, well this one was Parker's. :)

See, now he's happy again! Doesn't Parker look so handsome and grown up in that suit?? What a little man he has become.
I'll admit I LOVED my dress and Brian loved it too! I'm glad I hadn't showed it to him and surprised him when I walked out of the dressing room in it - he really thought I looked great and is so sweet with his compliments towards me all the time.
Brian looked sooo amazing in his suit!!! What a hottie I married!
Here was our first dance. As a joke Brian had them playing "Fernando" by ABBA but after a small portion of that our real first dance song came on - "Violet Hill" by Coldplay - I LOVED it!
Isn't our cake cool looking? I love how it turned out as well as my flower bouquet!

So when we fed each other cake I couldn't resist and rubbed it into his face a bit. I love how this picture captured him then going in for his revenge and the look on my face when I saw what he was going to do.

This is such a cute & sweet pic of Paxton & Brian - they look so happy.

I love this picture of Brian and his girls - it turned out great!
Me and the girls, Madi & Morgan. I love this one too - the setting under the tree, etc. The girls looked so darling & grown up in their dresses. We were all happy with how our colors worked out, I think we all looked really good together.

Look how handsome my 3 men are!!!
You know honestly from the start of our relationship I have always felt like I was living in a fairy tale because of how perfect things have been between us. I truly believe it was meant to be and it was no coincidence we reconnected at this point in our lives, that someone had a hand in directing us to one another. Someone knew my heart & sent me Brian. We just mesh so well with each other (always laughing when we are together) and he has brought me more happiness than I ever thought possible in a relationship. His girls have fulfilled in me the need to have a daughter. Now I'm lucky to say I get not 1, but 2 wonderful step daughters of my own. Brian has said he wanted boys and now gets the chance. He is so much fun and so active my boys are lucky to have someone who has embraced them and enjoys being with them. In Brian I have found my other half and feel so complete and happy in life. I am so blessed to have him as my husband now. I hope we can always love each other like this and treat each other with respect & kindness. And of course I hope we have that fairy tale ending and ALL live happily ever after!
