Every July we get to go to Hilton Head for the SCACS convention.  (South Carolina Assoc. of Convenience Stores)  This was our fourth year staying at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort - and if you ever need to stay in Hilton Head and you aren't renting a condo or house - you must stay here.  The staff are the most friendly people in the industry and the resort grounds are gorgeous.  Not to mention the beaches on Palmetto Dunes are fantastic for kids!!  All three boys this year got to participate in Hilton's Beach Camp - they met new friends, played in the ocean and pool, went mini golf, watched a movie outside, played games, flew kites on the beach and so much more.  The staff fell in love with the boys - I don't know why?!?!  :o)  Kennedy and I enjoyed some girl time - relaxing in our beach chairs and playing in the sand!!  While we were here, Tyler also turned FOUR!  He thinks for his birthday every year we should go to HH.  I agree with him. 

We enjoyed a very relaxing 4th of July!  I ran in the Peachtree Road Race - it is the largest 10k race in the world with 60,000 participates!!  This was my fourth year running it and an Atlanta tradition.  One of these years I will get my whole family to get up and run with me before we go home to barbecue!! 

Nana (Alene) flew in to visit us in June!!  We loaded the car and headed to Amelia Island in Florida to spend five days on the beach with her.  On our first morning there, we were enjoying a cup of coffee on the patio when Chad yelled for everyone to get down to the beach.  So we all went running with our pj's still on!!  There was a 6-7 foot shark right off the shore catching fish!!  It freaked us all out for a little bit....but by mid morning we had forgotten all about the shark and we were boogie boarding and swimming in the ocean. 

While Nana was here we also rented a pontoon boat for the day and enjoyed the lake right by our house with our neighbors and great friends - Heather, Ben and their kids.  We all decided, as we do every time we rent a boat, we really need to buy one!  Maybe, someday.
