Sarah's 12th birthday

On May 1st Sarah turned 12.  She got a new cockatiel, which she named Lucky.  She's been asking for a bird for a long time, and she finally talked us into it.

We waited until later in May to have her birthday party, so that it would be warm enough to have a pool party.  She invited about 15 friends over, and it was a really fun day!

Andrew kept the girls on their toes during the party!

Sarah is such a wonderful girl, and we are so proud of the choices she is making.  Only one more year until she is a teenager!  Yikes!!

T-ball season

Andrew decided to change things up a little this Spring and try T-ball.  He had an awesome coach and a really fun team.  He also had lots of intensity!  It was a great season and lots of fun to watch.

The girls spent most of their time during the games playing on the playground.

Spring Break at the Cabin

In March we spent Spring Break at our family cabin in Midway.  The family just completed an expansion and remodel of the cabin, complete with new furniture, and it's really beautiful.  We enjoyed staying together and doing lots of fun activities.  Ellie's 2nd birthday was that week, and Rachel had planned a fun Elmo party with fun games and treats.

We went to the local bowling alley and made quite a scene in the "Stuga" t-shirts that Robin made for all of us.

We did an "Amazing Race" which included crazy stunts like inspecting Freddy's tongue and hanging upside down.

Other highlights of the week were "cracker whacking", a pirate murder mystery, latin dancing, watching Downton Abbey, and lots of fun games and crafts.  Of course, we also ate tons of good food!  The downside to all of this togetherness was that Emily got sick during the week, and by the time we left most of the little ones were sick.  Peter spent part of the next week in the hospital, and Kaitlyn had RSV and had to make visits to the hospital as well.  Yikes!  Overall it made for a very memorable week!  We're glad that everyone had a full recovery.

On our way back to Idaho we got to visit our new little cousin Leo Hanson who was born on March 30th.  Congratulations to Derrek and Laurie on a beautiful new baby boy!

Oh, and who is that hairy man??
