I am so busy... oh gosh.. I have no time to myself.. The mth of July is just packed to the brim every single day of my life. =(
Anw I've been on heritage tour in Singapore this week. Mustafa for some midnight shopping with my pretty Preeti. Oh man.. go there for the cheapy Tim Tam chocolate biskuits. Cheap Guess watches and cheap cheap handphones. Din really mind that I was one of the few cheena there for some late shopping.. I'm an indian at heart I guess hehe.. Oh gosh.. I was just bumping in yo mercedes when Preeti's dad turned on those hip hop and bhangra tunes.. how can you not groove to these tunes? Jay Sean and Punjabi MC are just a few of these artistes who made it to our radio waves. Not been to a Bhangra night.. but I will by the end of this year.
Saturday saw me at Arab St and Haji Lane for some arabic, indian, middle eastern, and malay shopping. Saw belly dancing costumes.. cute arabic men, cool cafes for chilling.. sheesha smoking.. vintage shops.. puppets and costumes shop. There was this shop filled with victorian costumes.. So big and long I bet I can just disappear in them. Indulge Patisserie is one place at 722 North Bridge rd that anyone in Bugis should go try. Situated near Arab St this Patisserie sells excellent muffins, danish and pies that are halal. Talk abt milo muffin, cheese muffin, apple current with carrot muffin, strawberry muffin, blueberry danish, mushroom and chicken pic, black pepper chicken pie etc.. droolsome.... it was good.. and I thoroughly enjoyed my trip there. Such an eye opener. And I'm glad I din jostle with the crowd in town on a sat. Instead it was just some laidback time at quiet old Arab St. Times like this, I wish I brought digicam with me. In any case, my darling Cheryl and I settled for Om cafe in Bali Lane for some really excellent fushion food. It's situated just opposite Raffles hospital and serves excellent tandoori chicken as well as fire fries... realli spicy thang... papadum with mango mayo.. and I tried their honey choco.. which was honey tea with the glass laced with melted chocolate... sinfully good... Tempted to try their Sheesha smoking someday.. smoking without the tobacco and nicotine.. how cool is that.. mint, rose, mango flavours to name a few..
Oh and I must tell you Umeya sells excellent nu nai mei (milk plums) as well as bing zhi mei (ice cool plum???) but the latter is real expensive at $5.80 for 100g. I love. Oh yes.. pampering thyself is a must.. Bought a limited edn Swatch watch last friday. Am in love but still lusting after the Guess Dreamcatcher watch.
Birthday parties, farewell parties, dinners, slow walks.. tts July for me. School starts on 8th August. Yippie.. Right now, I'm all Strawberry Shortcaked! Got the files, the pens, pencils, keychains all for school. I'm just short of the bag, pencil case and the water bottle which I really saw at Seiyu. Madness... And I just realised there will be a lot of working ppl I believe in my course and I go to class all decked in Strawberry Shortcake. How embarassing.
Bank job ending 28th July. Hip hip hooray!!! yayness... And actually I've already signed contract with Singapore Pools. So from bank clerk to legal soccer bookie huh... Actually I just take bets via phone for soccer matches. I'm called a Customer Service Rep. Excellent colleagues.. at least they're my age, dress code is pretty slack, no paperwork... beta pay.. what more can I ask for? Real happy and this is just gonna be my Permanent Partime job as I study at MDIS. I really cannot wait for August... Can you feel my excitement???
Next up would be a new handphone.. I still have a few to choose from. I can't make up my mind. Help me hehe...
1. nokia 6280
2. nokia 3250
3. samsung z540
4. motorola v3x
5. sony ericsson w700i
6. sony ericsson k610i
So many patterns.. all so pretty! I'm just phone strucked... hehehe..

It's been a slow pace week. Just the way I like it. Met up with 4/5 of my animal farm. Nana the Banana tree in the farm simply just dun love us no more hehehe.. Took pics which I still haven received as well. Brought them to The Mind Cafe at Prinsep Place and the place was in a mad ruckus with a lot of mad ppl screaming and all. But we later became one of them as well hehehe when we played taboo and we were hit with this inflated hammer if we mouthed the forbidden words. It's nice to go back to some laughter with old girlfriends again. Esp since my darling Sammi is gonna leave for California for 4 yrs soon. I'm so gonna miss her but nvm I will go visit you in 2 yrs time when I go to the US to study as well. It's strange how we of such different characters and backgrounds can come together and become such good friends. Shared so much with them in spite the fact that JC life was only one year and 9 mths for me hehehe. And the coming weeks is gonna be slow paced till I end my contract with the bank this mth. Happiness.
Upcoming events, the 7.45pm to 3am work tonight and the mad chionging home to watch the match because after Brazil and Down Under got kicked out, I can only support Germany. I hope Klose becomes the top scorer for this World Cup. And Sunday with my church clique to watch the 2am match... I just know its gonna be some mad soccer finals watching hehee...
*One year on but your presence still lives on in my heart. I miss you everyday and though I need you in my life right now, I'm still learning to be strong and to pick myself up and move on. I love you Mummy more than ever before. And I wish the pain I feel each day from experiencing such a loss will go away because I still remember so vividly one year ago the way you left. Painful, hurtful and slow.
And I cannot believe it's really been one year.

Yayness! I finally found time to blog. Been on my mind awhile to pen down my thoughts right in my own space on the blogosphere. Bangkok was really crazy. Things like the mad weather, the mad and superbly cheap shopping. I want to post photos bt atlas I haven gotten them yet. But you can go to Hsien Zhuan's blog in my links for some great photo viewing and narrating of our trip. It was really a stress reliever for me I must say. Don't really wanna elaborate much on it, would do so in pictures when I have the time.
Met up with my favourite dude, Marcus yesterday. And I must say it was really a pleasant surprise and I finally got a taste of his gentlemanliness after not having the chance to meet him for so long. Am thankful for the times of catching up and how comfortable old friends like him make me feel. Sitting there opposite my closest guy friend ever... I think the years just fell away. And suddenly I felt like I was 13 again and he was that shorty in my class that only reached to my shoulder in height. Hehehehe.. The ah-beng wannabe that wore his Hush Puppies socks so high and carried his black then yellow Outdoor backpack so high on his shoulder that it looked like he was suffocating in it. The very ruler-straight symmetrical centre parting haircut he once had. The way he likes to use both hands and smooth down the front part of his uniform. The intense gaze he likes to give girls and make them squirm just staring at him. The very short and small guy in his NCC Land uniform. His blue netted converse pencil case... just the way I remembered him when we were 13.
And then the rebel became a student councillor.. and mini Outdoor bag became Fila then Oakley haversack. The first guy to try my mum's cooking.. the one I had my WORSE meal ever with... soggy maggie mee that smelt burnt and tasteless during OBS. The one I stayed up all night talking with at Pulau Ubin during that time. The Beatty student investiture.. the way you never smiled when we took photo together on Graduation day. hehe...
The over achiever... my best guy friend. Winning awards in whatever he did..
-swimming competition
-ncc land on national level
-going Shanghai and representing his school
-winning medals in Taekwondo
-winning 2nd in that latest 54 hrs staying awake competition
to name a few... And I am only exalting him in my blog for the sole reason that my best guy friend is going to the NS this coming friday and I'm gonna miss him for prolly like 10 mths while he runs around in some jungle in Singapore and stink from not being able to bathe. And the fact he will be having his field trips and can't see any female species for the next 10 mths while I have my field day back on the main land enjoying ogling at both genders. The only remotely female being might just be the canteen food vendor or toilet cleaner who could well pass off as his long lost auntie. He's gonna tan like shit and prolly put on so much bulk I hope he looks like the incredible hulk. Ohmigawd bulk and hulk.. it rhymes! hehe.. And 10 mths is about the time I take to complete my Advanced Diploma. That sure sucks not having him around since I always update him on every stage of my life. There you go Commando.. make sure you add an O to Commando at the end of that 10 mth suffering. O for Commando Officer. I will be waiting.
Still for that someone so dear whose palm shares the same size as my feet.

Unfathomable
For someone dear...
UnfathomableThe scrutiny of his eyes
Her nonchalent exterior
belies her insecured self
The words tt he utters
Like a symphony to the
depths of her soul
The emblem of mystery
tt he represents
Makes her inch closer
and closer
The zeal, passion he exudes
She draws deeply and
wholly for her life
The misunderstood persona
he delivers, yet
she finds pride being in his
inner cirle
The intensity of his emotions
Sends her reeling
from stability
The friendship he extended
Just like an arm tt caught her
in the darkness
The bond they share, drafted
from experience and history
An unfathomable treasure
