amazed
As I am typing this entry, my mouth is filled with the sweetest taste I've ever tasted this month. What a way to round off the month of an amazing month of july. I've really had loads of fun this mth. My holidays, seeming no care in the world, parties, clubs and chilling sessions have been awesome. But above all else, today my sweet gf Maye surprised me with two slices of cake from TCC. A sweet appreciative note written on the top of the box. Imagine a tired me, being at work since 7plus and awaiting the end of my shift at 2.45pm.. and a sweet Maye who was relieving my shift brought me to her locker and surprised me with the TCC box.
Ok to many people reading this, its like a so what? It's just cake. But to me seriously, I'm a sucker for small sweet actions. I notice when my friends love, care and protect me in the small subtle ways and I'm truly appreciative of them. I don't need big expressions of love but I would really appreciate if you showed somehow that this friendship is not taken for granted. So now while savouring the wonderful chocolate cake that melts completely in my mouth, I feel like I can conquer the world because I'm loved. =)) Thank you Maye, I cannot thank you enough for your friendship these past 11 mths.
Anw, now that sentimentalism is over.. let's move on to my CRAZEEE week. I've been working as usual. But Saturday was one heck of a party for Maye, Sunny, Harith and myself. We ventured down to Obar for some boogying and booze. Eh wait, with the exception of Sunny who was jiggling the night away.
Basically, I was a reluctant participant at first because I was plain tired as I had been working the afternoon shift till 8plus at night. But nonetheless, I still brought my change of clothes, perfume and makeup and changed my look right after work. At the start, it was like a complete disaster I swear. Sunny waited at the wrong bustop, Maye's new zebra crossing shoes gave her hell, the route to Timbre was muddy and gross. Upon reaching Timbre, the queue was disgustingly LOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGG and it sure din help that the live band was abt to begin playing. So dejected, hot and sweaty we decided to head to Brewerkz for dinner and beer instead.
BUT atlas, there was NO freaking cab and we lumbered our way to different locations to hail a cab. Finally at 10.30pm we managed to get to Brewerkz. And seriously right, this is just the BEGINNING OF MY NIGHT. I don't think I can get any more excitement than last sat. We were watching the finals of the Asian Cup between Korea and Japan. Halfway through did we realised to our HORROR that we were sitting in BETWEEN a grp of KOREANS on my left and a grp of JAPANESE to my right. So it was like stuck in a war zone with like spewing of cheers and vigorously loud support. The penalty shoot out was the worse because both teams kept scoring and my table of Maye, Sunny and myself just sank lower and lower into our food of wings, quesidallas and herb fries(orgase).
Anw to cut the long story short, after dinner we rolled our way to Double O/O bar. Rolled because we were damn full. Basically in the club, all heaven broke loose after meeting up with Harith.
In random order. . .
1) Sunny and me complaining we were not high enough and were damn hot. So we (ok just Sunny) ordered like some more jugs and alot of shots. One hr later, we were half gone hehe.
2) Maye elbowed her way into some black guy's balls causing grievous and extreme kneeling over of said male.
3) Maye dancing and removing her shoes and rewearing them and removing again and repeated actions till finally at 3.30pm (I think half drunk) she left her shoes on the table top.
4) Me puking in the club behind Maye who was chatting up some German bloke and completely ignorant of the fact her sweet gf was puking behind her.
5) Maye nearly knocking into another male. This time, said male was white.
6) Us taking photos in and outside the club but so not being able to remember taking them.
7) Harith who was flamed after his flaming lambo could not wipe the grin off his face the WHOLE NIGHT.
8) Us boogying to Umbrella ella a a a. Sunny's all time fav.
9) Maye showcasing her agile dance moves. For decency sake, I shall not elaborate how agile she was.
10) Me running to toilet to puke some more and then coming out of the toilet and realising all my "FRIENDS" were not in the club. We met up outside again.
11) Maye proceeded to throw money in my handbag for some reason she thought I had no money to take a cab.
12) Sunny ended up looking like (yes Maye) Singapore Romeo with a cigarette that so din belong to him
13) Sunny being molested in the club after jiggling with some damn hawt (only from behind) she man.
14) Maye declaring she was going to attend a malay wedding at 4am and proceeded to leave me outside the club and hopped into a cab.
15) Sunny and I talking rubbish outside the club till 4.30am. And him declaring that he was proud to be a virgin at yes 4.30am in the morning.
And many more crazy antics. Seriously, it was the music, the crowd and the drinks that did us in. What with beer at Brewerkz then jugs and shots in O bar. As you can see, I have less embarassing antics because I puked my drinks out. More sober than the rest. I have a phobia for shots due to downing 5 straight tequila shots on my bday night. I hate the lemon and salt. So pls don't be mean and buy me shots okie.
I know we were damn high, and most of us (actually just Maye) cannot remember what happened that night. But it was seriously one of the MOSTEST fun clubbing nights I had in a long while. Just letting my hair down and being completely comfortable in the company of equally or not more fun friends. I'm sure Maye would agree with me.
So we met up yesterday over pizza hut to update each other on the details and super embarassing antics. I have been giggling and smiling silly to myself when I think back to the crazy yet funny antics my friends were up to. I love you all lah.
My good books for clubbing nonetheless. There's a preconceived notion that clubbing is sleazy and for picking same or opp genders up. But seriously, it can be a time to wind down and dance, drink, be merry with fun friends and just let loose and let go of the pressure and stress of a tiring week.
Those memories. . .
the innocent looks of my not so innocent friends Maye and Sunny at Brewerkz

Just got back from Timbre. Been busy with my last graduation presentation, work, tuition, birthday parties, meeting friends to give them the holiday souvenirs I bought, chilling and shopping.
Today happens to be the best day of my life in a long time. Not that I struck TOTO or something but that it was simply relaxing and time well spent. (Attempted to) rollerblade today. Of all days, I chose a day where the ground was wet from the earlier rain to learn. Slippery and all. Falls were unavoidable but I really loved the learning process. The sea, clouds at East Coast had a calming effect on me somehow. I'm glad I had a patient and extremely encouraging teacher, Maye to teach me today.
Went home to change and met up with my awesome gf Maye agn for some TIMBRE-ing. Awesome live band today. GOODFELLAS. Music was awesome, food was good, beer was adequate. We grooved and danced and rocked in our seats. The rest of the people there looked more they were attending a orchestra concert. Booooooooo *thumbs down
Maye! Aye Lub Chew! It's real hard to find someone who grooved with you and who were familiar with all the songs being played live. Fantastic day. Had so much fun!
If you're into Indie or Rock and chilling and drinking and a laidback environment...
Click for T I M B R E Do check out the website. Timbre is at 45 Armenian St and a second one is opened at Parliament House. Every day a different band is playing and Saturdays are usually packed out.
Actually, come to think of it, this week has been darn awesome. Meeting up with the old church clique for Cline's bday and having Krispy Kreme delivered to me freshly made from Jakarta by Sammi. Just when I thought life couldn't get sweet enough.

The one and only night market which sold really cheap homemade food like chix wings, kueh and other local delicacies. Cheapness because Brunei currency and Sing dollar are the same. Weeee....
.JPG)
After 7 and a half hrs flight that night from Brunei... we arrived at Sydney and welcomed the sunrise. 6.22am. Aussie time. 4.22am Singapore time. So beautiful in real life.
.JPG)
half an hr later.. still glimpses of the sun on the clouds. The plane was still cruising above the clouds at this point.
.JPG)
Descending from the clouds into Sydney.
.JPG)
Landscapes and signs of population... still descending.
.JPG)
And yes. Almost reaching. You can see the Acer Arena or formerly known as the Olympic Stadium on the left. The circular building and on the right... the tall thin structure is the Observation Tower in Sydney offering 360 deg view of the city.

After this was our arrival at the airport. Meeting up with two others. Darren and Jared. Transport to our Backpackers' Inn and it was nonstop all the way. More pics of the Sydney Fish market, Paddy's Market (Chinatown) to come.
