Anna had her first school violin concert.
She did such a great job!
She was chosen as the spotlight child.
Meaning she stood in front of the class on the stayge and they followed what she is doing.
She was a little nervous (which takes a lot for her to get nervous) but she did wonderful.
I still see her as my little girl and as I watched her up on the stage I couldn't believe how much she has grown up.
Hopefully the growing up slows down a bit :)

Sisters

Sisters really are the best.
Little Jane loves her big sister Ellie.
If mom can't help her she instantly starts looking for her big sister.
Ellie thinks it's pretty great!
I love watching Ellie play with her and take care of her.
I can't believe she is 10.
I feel like just yesterday she was my busy little baby.
I love her and am so thankful for her.
Little Jane is lucky to have her.

Our good friends, The Wilkes, invited us to their cabin for the weekend.
It was such a great weekend!
The girls were in heaven hiking, swinging on the big tree swings, and playing in the dirt all weekend long.
Such a nice, fun, easy, and much needed little getaway!

E had a birthday!

Our sleepy little girl on her 10th birthday.
She has been making the same breakfast request every birthday since she was 4 years old.
My homemade buttermilk pancakes with "ice cream" syrup.
She gave the syrup that name when she was 3 years old.

I think often how lucky I am that she is our first.
She is patient and forgiving with me as I am constantly trying to learn about being a better mom.
She may have to be patient forever.
She loves her sisters!
This year I have noticed a big change as she has become quite "motherly" with her little sister.
And has also become very aware of me and all the things I am trying to accomplish throughout my days.
Just last night as I tucked her into bed she said, "mom please let me know tomorrow if I can help you with anything."
We couldn't love her more.

She asked for a simple birthday party.
3 friends, tie dye shirts, pizza, swimming and and ice cream cake.
I was happy to grant all of her requests.

I can't believe we have a daughter in the double digits.
But I'm glad she has promised to live with me forever :)
Happy Birthday Ellie Bellie!
