James turned 5

Today we celebrated James turning 5. We seem to have a hard time celebrating James's birthday near his birthday as July is a busy month. So I know that I am 20 days late in having a party. But to make up for it we rented a bouncy house, got a great looking piñata and opened our house to 20 kids and their families. To make it easy on myself we bought 12 pizzas and bought an avenger's cake. The house was crazy busy and full. It was so much fun to watch all the kids play and bouncy and scramble for candy. I am so glad that my little boy turned 5 and that we had so many friends to celebrate with. There are a ton of pics, but that's because I know you'd rather look at pictures than read my writing!

Family Pictures

While in Colorado for the Bennett Family Reunion we took some time to get family photos done.  It was a crazy and chaotic trying to get all the kids to smile and look at the camera.  It was even hard to get all the adults to smile and look at the camera at the same time.  Thankfully we have all those memories in these great pictures.  Jeff who is normally a very smiley baby did not want to smile for the photographer and so therefore he is mostly scowling.  Thankfully even scowling he is beautiful! Here are a few of my favorites.

We have one of these with each of the children.  I can't wait to hang up this one too!
 Our three beautiful boys!
I love his belly showing in this picture and his little toes!
My favorite of the two of us
 The whole Bennett clan
Grandma and  Grandpa with all the grandkids!  Isn't that a huge bunch?
 We're just monkeying around.
Will's picture by himself.  We have this almost exact picture from Kindergarten.  That and he loves raising his eyebrow.  He is one funny dude!
James picture.  I can hardly believe that he is this big!!  I want my baby back!
It was so cute it needed to be shown twice!

Baseball season

Both the boys are involved in baseball this year. James is in T-ball and Will is in coach pitch. We really are enjoying Will's team this year. They have three fabulous coaches and the kids seem pretty motivated to do well. We've won most of our games and Will has hit the ball each time He's been up to bat. William and I are in awe since we have no talent in sports that involve a ball.
James t-ball team is also very good, but they haven't met very often, which annoys William and I greatly. James has an amazing swing and is called baby Babe Ruth by his coaches. I think James will do great next year when they play more games. This year is mostly instructional.
Baseball has come to consume our weeks. We are at the fields three days a week. The boys love every minute spent there. We are so lucky to have such talented boys!

Spring break

So I know it's been awhile since I have posted anything. We have had a few really busy months. We moved to a different house on base, we now live in a four bedroom, we enjoyed spring break and the boys started baseball. I figured I would start blogging again about spring break.
We spent our spring break here in Vegas. We had what is called a staycation. It was absolutely wonderful!! We did one majorly fun thing a day. On Monday we went to flip N' out. It's a place with a ton of trampolines and some bouncy houses. We went with some friends and had a great time. On Tuesday we went to the Ethel M chocolate factory. We took the quick tour, ate some amazing chocolate and toured their cactus garden. After that we ate at McDonalds and played at a local park. On Wednesday we stayed close to home and played in the back yard with the sprinkler. On Thursday we went to the dollar theater and watched chipwrecked. After that we went to the silverton casino to see the live mermaids! I thought that was awesome! The boys thought it was ok, but they loved the pro bass shop that was attached to the casino. They loved all the stuffed animals and the cool machines everywhere! On Friday we ate at our favorite pizza place. It was a fabulous spring break. It of course ended with Easter. A wonderful end to a great week!

Rub a dub dub three boys in a tub.

We don't usually put all the boys in the same bath because as you can see they just don't fit well. The other night Jeff was about to get out when the other boys decided to join him!

Dance festival

Every year Lomie Grey Heard elementary school has a dance festival. All the grades prepare special dances to perform outside for all the parents. It's a lot of fun to see the kids perform with such gusto and excitement. Last years performance was cowboy orientated. This year I asked Lil'Will what the them was and he told me Anglo-Saxon! Which of course made it very easy for me! They did a type of irish jig. He is dancing with his best friend Devon. I love that my boy has a best friend!! They of course play beyblades together, cause that's all they ever talk about! I have also included a pic of Will and Devon playing on the laptop together. Aren't they just precious!!

This has taken over my children's lives

The boys were introduced to beyblades right after Christmas, but we held off on buying them until the end of January, and the boys are obsessed!! Will talks about beyblades all the time! It almost seems like he is annoyed when you want to talk to him about something other than beyblades. Even James plays with them while Will is at school. I played beyblades with James for about 1 1/2 hours yesterday. We only stopped because the baby needed a nap. I am amazed how a spinning top can fascinate them.

Jeff's first food

When we came back from Oregon it was time to let Jeff eat some solid food. I went out to the store and picked up some baby cereal for him. I wasn't sure if I was ready for my baby to eat solids, but he was certainly ready!! He loved the whole experience. He thinks the food is yummy and he in enjoying being a big boy in the big boy chair. I am also including some pictures of Jeff after dinner with his big Buddha belly!!
He was not sure at first
But as  you can see he began to love it!  Even Sophie was excited for Jeff to start eating! Hahaha!
After his dinner he decided to chill with his daddy, while showing off his buddha belly.
Isn't he just precious!!
