18 Months & ALL Boy!

Cruz turned 18 months this month. This is a tough age for me. I thought Maddie was hard at 18 months, but nothing compared to Cruz. Whew-he wears.me.out. He is all boy and is on the go all the time! There are many places I avoid right now if I can b/c of him. It's just not worth it to me to chase him around. Which is fine, i know its a season.

He won't stay in a stroller for very long even if it's moving he usually wants out. He immediately gets dirty when we go outside, I'm still not sure how it happens so fast. He's is very strong willed, more than maddie. He has a temper and will go rigid with his hands balled into fists at his side while screaming when he gets really upset. Then he will immediately lay his head on my shoulder after he does it! He is a daredevil and has had several goose eggs!

He is into everything!!! His current favorites are the toliet, my jewelry, any drawer in the kitchen, the fireplace, anything electronic. He likes to hit and does so to maddie and I often. It doesn't faze him to get spanked on the hand, but he will cry if put in time out in his crib. I LOVE having a boy even though it's a hard age right now. He is very much still a mommas boy and usually only wants me and occasionally his pawpaw.

He says lots of words, not talking quite as much as maddie did. He eats like a bird, but loves his milk. He takes one nap a day around 12:30 and will sleep for 2 hours or so. He goes to bed around 7 or 7:30 and is a great sleeper. He loves his big sister and loves to play with and annoy her :).

18 month stats:
26.9 lbs-60%
32 inches-50%
Head-75%

Happy 18 months cruzers! We love that God made you all boy and are so blessed to have you!

Daddy/daughter Dance

Madelyn and Oscar went to their 1st ever daddy/daughter dance a few weeks ago. The city of temple has held one for several years, so I thought Maddie was old enough to go this year. She was beyond excited! I bought her a new dress for the special night. Ready to go:

iPhone blogging

I just found this app to blog from my iPhone, so maybe that way it will happen more often! Plus I take 95% of my pictures on my phone. We are in the thick of soccer season. The weather has been pretty mild for the winter so we've been able to go to several games. I'm mainly chasing Cruz around the whole time and keeping him from running onto the field! Maddie loves going to the games and hanging out in the locker room with the soccer girls beforehand. Not much else going on except the kids keeping me busy, ecpecially Cruz! I need to do his own post on all the funny and crazy things he's up to! For now here are some phone pictures:

Maddie had her best friend Morgan over to spend the night for the 1st time ever. To say they were excited is was an understatement. They ate pizza, ice cream, and candy. They also watched the Little Mermaid and had lots of fun giggling! It was fun to listening to them giggle and talk over the monitor after they went to bed.

Ready for church the next morning:

Looked back and saw this one day:

Sparklers on new years eve with the cousins. Cruz sat so still in my lap the whole time and I was wondering why and realized he was scared half to death!

Oscar surprised maddie and I both with flowers one day at preschool. Maddie was so proud of her flower.

We went to the children's museum in Waco for playgroup one day. The kids had a blast!

Cruz was obsessed with the train

Donuts with super dads at school! We are very thankful for our super dad!

December catch up

In an attempt to catch up, I'm combining all of December, except Christmas, into one post.

The kids when Santa came to visit their MDO. Maddie loved it. Every time she saw Santa this past year she told him she only wanted a piggy bank and yo-yo! Cruz of course hated Santa, but it made for a funny picture!

Our 2nd annual white elephant small group Christmas Party. We had a fun time(except the bankheads weren't there-boo) eating fajitas and exchaning funny gifts. We came home with a Jesus barbie doll and the magic glove! I love our small group and am thankful for them!

We had our 2nd annual baking Pioneer Woman Cinammon rolls with my mom, sister, maddie, and some of our great friends. My mom got us each an apron with our name on it. Maddie had a great time doing this! I was so glad my best friend Sara was able to come into town for this.
