This year the scouts participated in the Rain Gutter Regatta instead of a Pinewood Derby. It was last night and it was fantastic!

Gage wanted his ship to have a pirate motif. He told Bill all the things he wanted and they got to work sanding and building and painting their boats.

Gage won 2nd place for the cubs.....or something. (My apologies for not being up on cub scout lingo!) Gage told me before we left that I was not to say things like "I am proud of you" or "great job" and I am not supposed to smile or cry at him either....and NO HUGGING - definitely not that! But I am pleased to report that he let me say all those things to him and I was so excited!

Up to the highest height! Lets go fly a kite and send it soaring.......We went kite flying yesterday with the Tanner's and today this


Oh well - I guess that's Utah for ya!

My birthday is this month. I don't actually celebrate that day anymore (since turning perpetually 25) but my husband thought enough of me to buy me a Lipstix Remix this year!
