Well we had quite the experience today. It started with a blow-out and ended with an entire load of laundry. Phoebe has this amazing ability which she has revealed twice now, the first was the first time we went back to church, in which she gets poo, pee and spit up all over herself all at the same time. Today she had a blow-out, which wasn't actually that much poop it just happened to all go up the back. When I went to change her I made the mistake of just taking her onesie off, which ended up getting the poop to go more up her back, so when I set her down it got all over the changing table. Once I noticed I decided to move her down the table so she wouldn't get dirty after I wiped her back and then I proceeded to begin wiping her off. I don't know if she smiled or if I just had a sudden sinking feeling but in an instant I new what was going to happen and I was ill prepared. She proceeded to pee, and all I had to try to contain it was a wipe. I put the wipe over her trying to keep it as contained as possible. It didn't work very well. The pee got all over her, all over the changing pad on which it puddled and began running all over the floor. And all I could do was sit there holding her still and watch it all happen. After she finished I began removing the changing pad cover as much as I could with her still on the pad and the straps still intact. I wiped of the pad and set her down on it. At which point she spat up. She had done this earlier when her onesie was still on but there had been a burp clothe underneath her at that point. I didn't really think about the implications of spitting up on a water proof pad until she started fussing. I picked her up and realized the spit up was covering half of her head, all over her ear, and down her entire back. It was at this point that I decided it was officially time for a bath and a load of laundry.
Lesson learned: never leave her without at least a diaper underneath her for more than a second and even that might be too long. Water proof mats will allow her spit up to puddle underneath her head and get all over. There is not much you can do when a baby's body decides to get rid of the stuff within.

Blessing
We had Phoebe's baby blessing this past Sunday. My parents were able to come up, which was awesome! Phoebe met Opa for the first time, I think both enjoyed each other very much.
On Sunday we dressed Phoebe up in my blessing dress, which Grandma Deters made for me. She was an absolute angel during the blessing. She just laid there very alert looking around while Brandon blessed her. Everyone commented on how alert she was, and how cute it was that she just kept looking around. My cousin and her kids as well as some of our friends were able to come which was pretty cool. Then Phoebe fell asleep for the rest of church, such a good little girl!
Here are some pictures we took after church, the ones of her in her dress didn't turn out that great because she was pretty hungry by that point. We might try to get some better ones sometime this week...we'll see if that happens.

Phoebe Photo Shoot
We decided to take some pictures of Phoebe today. We haven't edited any of them yet but here are some of our favorites. She is 5 weeks old!
