My Baby Can Read!

No, not really.
BUT we are working on it! Mom generously ordered this program for the kids. I am very excited about the possibility of my kids being early readers.
We started watching the DVDs in the car, and we work on the flash cards at home. Austin even pays attention to the DVDs, and I think the practice will be beneficial to him too.
By the way, Brooke counted to five and then to six yesterday, and this morning she counted to seven. So if any baby can read, it will be my baby! I will let you know how it all works out.

A Looong but Very Fun Saturday

We had a busy and memorable Saturday. First we headed to a double birthday party for our friends Gracey and Ally. Gracey just turned 3 and Ally 1.
This is Ginny being silly right before we left for the party.
On to the party...Isn't this cake amazing?! The top part is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. If you don't watch the show it's kind of hard to picture; Mickey's hand is detached for a reason. ;)
Ally is one!
Birthday girl Gracey gets the first turn at Ally's pinata.
Brooke whacking her first pinata like a pro!
Austin shows no mercy.
The loot
Time for pinata number two, Mickey. He has no idea what's about to happen to him.
After the party, as promised, we headed to GattiTown to reward Austin for scoring 7 out of 10 correct on his spelling test. Way to go Austin!

"Which game should I play first?"
Beautiful girl
The train was very entertaining and free!
David and I spent our game earnings on each other...friendship bracelets. Friends forever! It was kind of interesting to see who would wear theirs the longest.
We got home pretty late and worn out but it was all worth it!

Jump Around

Last week we headed to Boomerangs for the latest PoPs event. This is another indoor jump house type thing, but bigger than anything we had been to before. They LOVED it, especially Ginny! We will definitely make our way back there soon. Ginny earned the Red Plate that night because she left right when I asked her to without whining. Woohoo!

Grace came over to play before we all went to Boomerangs. They are certainly good little mommies to their babies.

Babies at 23 Weeks

Our last prenatal appointment was great! Baby A was being cooperative like last time, and Baby B was all over the place, also like last time. I wonder if B will be the feisty one after they're born...not that we need much more feistiness around here!

Baby A weighed 1 lb 1 oz. Baby B weighed 15 oz. This difference is in the normal range. They are both on the small side, but as long as they keep growing at a steady rate it shouldn't be a problem. Brooke always measured small too, and she is still pretty petite. Go figure. On to the pictures...

The babies are not the only ones growing! If the outfit looks familiar, it is a very comfy gift from Mom, and I wear it just about every day. Let me just say it's not easy to find affordable maternity clothes catered to tall people, and these pants are super long. Thanks again Mom. Love you!

Sharing the Love

Last week we headed to our friend Ava's house for a morning of Valentine crafts and snacks. Joining in the fun were buddies Macie and Thatcher. It was a fun morning, and the kids were all so cute! Below is an attempted group shot (Ginny's belly bottom right).
There's Ginny!

Treehouse Snack

Lately if the weather allows, the girls and I like to enjoy our afternoon snack in the swingset fort. This was an idea bred from wanting the girls to have some fresh air and me not wanting to sweep the floor again. It's a special time.
