Oktoberfest

This weekend we checked out McKinney's Oktoberfest.
It's definitely no Wurstfest, but it was a lot of fun to take the girls. Plus it was free!

Brooke's Babblings

I think it's time for another edition of Funny Things Brooke Says.
*****
Dinner Conversation the other night...

Brooke: "Mommy, you were a baby in Grammy's tummy and you wore diapers. Daddy, you were a baby in Grandma's tummy. And me- I was a baby in your tummy, Mommy."
David: "What about Baby Sisters?"
Brooke thinks about it, then says: "Baby Sisters were babies in Grandpa's tummy!"
*****

To a boy at Grandma's church: "Hi, my name is Brooke, I'm three years old, and my daddy is a football coach."
*****

When she doesn't like something like a meal or a clothing item, she'll say, "It's too ___(color)." For example, "I don't want to eat that apple. It's too red."

*****

        Morning at the Park

We met friend Amy and her kids at the park the other day. So far September is still pretty hot around here, but I think a change is around the corner.

The girls "playing" with their twin friends.
Keely is in the pink stripes. A big thank you to Hayley for always being so generous to pass down the cutest matching/coordinating twin clothes to us!

        The big kids

I was surprised the girls could still fit back to back in the baby swing. Big swings I guess. Wow their legs look really long in this picture!

But they like having their own swings even better.

        Sunday Best

By far our best dressed day of the week around here is Sunday.
That is also the day I never have time to take pictures.
We got home from church today with one kid asleep in the car and I had an idea to take the girls' pictures in their matching dresses, expecting it to be awful since everyone was probably going to be cranky, tired, and hungry.
But the girls were good sports for me.

        My 3 little angels (K, B, C)

        Still wearing their nursery tags-oops!

To get them to smile I sang "This Little Light of Mine". You can see Brooke's light. The babies can do it too- Keely on the right is making her fist the "bushel".

Beautiful Brookie getting too big too fast.

        It's a Zoo

This morning we joined some ladies and their kids from my moms of multiples group for a trip to the zoo!
I debated on whether or not I should take the new wagon because it can fit all three, or the double stroller. Brooke kept saying she wanted to ride in the wagon, so I went with that. Looking back I should have stuck with the stroller because Brooke ended up walking most of the way and the babies thought it was really cool to stand up while the wagon was moving.
The girls were all wearing their hats. I was just a little late on getting my camera out. Keely is dressed in pink, Claire in purple.

Stopping a moment to look at the map, just a few of the kids (and Keely standing in the wagon, grr).

        Elephant getting a drink

Our group: 4 sets of twins, 1 set of triplets, and 1 set of quadruplets, and 2 older singleton siblings! Quite a group!
We were an exhibit by ourselves. Seriously, people were taking pictures of us.

There are my lovely ladies on the end... Yes I did throw a lunchable with oreo cookies in the wagon to keep them sitting down.
It was a fun trip and I am glad we went! And now I am glad we're home! :)

        I ❤ My Family

We had a fun and full weekend here. Dad, Mom, & Kelly made the trip to help me out with my garage sale and also a few things around the house. They ended up doing way more than I asked of them, and I was once again reminded of how blessed I am to have such a great family that will do anything for me!

        *****
The girls enjoyed hanging out with Grammy, Grandpa, & Aunt Kelly. Aunt Beth came by too for a fun birthday dinner.

Kelly took these of Keely drummin' out.

Brooke got to show off part of her Halloween costume. Can you guess what she is going to be? (Hint: She says she wants to ask Santa for her flipper.)

        *****
Mom & Kel were a HUGE help to me at my moms of multiples garage sale. Mom even helped my friend Christy sell her stuff too.

Meanwhile Dad and David were hard at work changing the water pump in the 'Voy. Thanks guys!
Dad & David went above and beyond to cut down an entire dying tree in our yard. Amazing!
Thank you for all you did for us this weekend, including more that I did not list. This weekend could have been really sad, since it marks two years since Tommy & Kristina passed away. I am glad we were able to spend it together with lots of smiles, reminding us of all we have to be thankful for. ❤

        Weekend at Grandma's

We spent Labor Day Weekend in Mt. Pleasant. The babies did pretty well, although it is getting harder to corral them. They slept a lot better this time than they usually do away from home.

Saturday we went to a family cookout at Diana's. I didn't get any pictures there because, well, the babies were everywhere. But it was a lot of fun and Brooke wore herself out.
Uncle Gary gave all the kids stuffed animals. Brooke got this cow, named Gary.
She has been playing with it a lot, saying she is the mommy, Gary is her baby cow, Daddy is the daddy, and I am the doggie. Oookay?

        The girls at Grandma's

Grandma keeps activity baskets for all of the grandkids. Brooke is really starting to get into drawing and coloring.

        First Day of Preschool

Today was Brooke's first day of preschool. For the last week or so, she has frequently been asking, "Is it Tuesday yet?" Today I woke her up saying, "Brooke, it's Tuesday!" She was so excited. She had no problem going to her classroom and saying goodbye to me. I assume the day went great. Brooke sure enjoyed it.

Getting the Red Plate at breakfast.

        Ready to go to school!

Fun with Playdough (or as Brooke calls it, "Plano").

And of course I have to put last year's picture here. It really is amazing how much she has grown!

        The Wagon

The girls got a new (well, new to them anyway) wagon, and we got to try it out the other evening. It kind of turned in to a photo shoot. Oops. ;)
