Even More May Things

This and the last two posts were updated on November 2011, but I dated them May because I think it'll make the blog look and flow better. I think I must have been pretty overwhelmed back in May, because I am finding even more pictures and events from that month. :) I think this was around the time that my sister Kelly got a job in Dallas and moved in with us. Her "bedroom" was also our playroom/computer room, so I didn't want to disturb her in the evenings with my blogging.

First we had Brooke's end of year preschool performance.
Ready to watch big sister!

Proud of our little tiger! She had such a great preschool year in the 3's class with Ms. Ellen. So thankful!
We also had a pretty big scare with tornados in the area. One night we had to get the girls out of bed and put them in the tub! Fun times.
3 girlies in a tub!
A live-in auntie means a date night for David and me once in a while. Thanks sis!

Bye bye kisses
At the very end of May we broke out the big plastic pool with the built in slide.

Train Ride

On May 11, Claire & Keely's 2nd birthday, we rode the DART Rail train. The girls both love trains and cars, so we thought riding a train would be perfect for them. We waited until David got home from work to go, so the evening kind of got away from us and we got home kind of late. But it was fun!

The Garden Party

I took a pretty big break from blogging. Sorry about that! At the urging of some of my dear family members, and also because this is my scrapbook, I would like to get back into the habit of telling our story.

I'll begin with the girls' triple birthday bash, a garden themed party set in our back yard on a Friday around lunchtime. Mom & Kelly came in town for the special event and they were a lot of help that day. We had a planting station where guests could pot their own flowers to take home. There was also a "Pin the Bug on the Flower" game, a flower temporary tattoo table, bubble station, and a flower craft. After stations and a sandwich lunch, we came inside and opened presents and ate butterfly cupcakes. It was great! I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted to, but I got a few cute ones.

Yum!
After the party, the girls, Mom, Kelly, and I packed up in the wagon, swung by the pizza place, and headed to the park for dinner. We got a few more pictures of the birthday girls. :)

May Catch Up! (AKA: The Longest Post Ever!)

What a busy few weeks! I am going to catch up on my blog quickly here, with special respect to my three girls' birthdays that I will get to with separate posts. Warning: This is going to be ALL over the place!

In early May, we took a trip to Mt. Pleasant.

David took Brooke to a RoughRiders Game. She loved it!
Cutest baseball fan ever!

Grammy joined us for Muffins With Mommy at preschool.

We had a great Mother's Day! Mom spent it with us, and we all went to church and then brunch at Cafe Brazil and I got these stunning roses from my sweet husband and girls.

We took a trip to the Dallas Arboretum with Mom & Kelly.

We've hopped a few playgrounds...

Brooke and I took a quick day trip to Cameron for a memorial service for Tommy & Kristina. It's been about 2 and a half years since they died, and since then my parents and Kristina's parents worked to create and place this beautiful headstone. The whole family gathered Saturday and buried their ashes here. It was a very nice service. We miss you and love you both!

That same day, if you can believe it, we made it to our friends' birthday party at Gymboree. What a fun place!

Last Thursday, Brooke had her End of the Year Preschool Party.
I was cleaning up sand in my house for days! But they had a great time!

Then we headed to Mt Pleasant once again this past weekend for the girls' triple party there for family. It was at a bounce house place and it was lots of fun for them!
