Petersen Family

Brayden celebrated St Patrick's Day today by wearing his new green hooded sweatshirt! Yes, it was still BIG but it was the most green he had! Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt and Uncle Logan came down and watched him so Mom & Dad could go to dinner. They weren't gone very long but they sure missed him!

Can you tell what we do around our house? Maybe it's because none of us get as much sleep at night as we used to!

We can't believe Brayden's already 2 weeks old! He had some visitors on his 2 week birthday...his Great Grandpa Petersen came over, along with Great Grandma Petersen, and Aunt Carrie was here visiting from Seattle.

Brayden had his 2 week doctor's appointment this morning and is looking healthy and great! He's up to 8 pound 3 ounces and 21 1/4 inches long! So that puts him in the 68% for length and 34% for weight. We're thinking he'll hopefully take after Brian and be tall! They also did his PKU test again today, which he did not like, but who can blame him? I wouldn't want my foot pricked and squeezed to get all this blood out. He's doing great and was awake for his entire doctor's appointment! We'll post more pictures soon!

Brayden's Grandma and Grandpa Leavitt have been here lots and lots to visit! It's nice that they live so close! Grandma Leavitt was in the delivery room right after he was born and Grandpa Leavitt was down at the hospital a few hours later. Grandma Leavitt then stayed with us for the first few nights too!

Brayden has been lucky enough to have Grandma Petersen here visiting for an entire week and Grandpa Petersen here for a weekend! We have loved having them here!! They left and went to baseball spring trainning in Arizona (no fair!) but will back again for his blessing in April!

We can't believe how fast this first week has gone! It seems like we were just going to the hospital to have him!! We already can't imagine life without him!! At his first doctor's appointment he had gained an ounce and grown half an inch already! We are seeming to get the hang of this parenting thing a little bit...but our moms have been here helping us so we'll see what happens when they leave!

Here's just a few pictures of Brayden with Mom and Dad this first week! He slept REALLY well two nights in a row but we've realized those were just flukes and we're in for some sleepless nights! He is SOOO worth it though! We're both just smitten with him! :)

Brayden Glen Petersen was born Wednesday March 1st, at 4:36 pm. He weighed 7lbs 15oz, and was 20.5 inches long. Both Jamie and Brayden are healthy, and doing well. We are very thankful for the safe arrival of Brayden, and have realized that we can spend hours just looking at him. Here are a couple of our favorite pictures of Brayden.
