Welcome Home Sister Petersen!!

We got to welcome Sister Petersen home from her mission today! Okay, so not really home but we got to welcome her to the Salt Lake airport since she had a layover until she flew to Seattle! She served in the South Dakota Rapid City mission. We were excited for her to meet Brayden and of course we were excited to see her too! We'll be flying to Seattle on Friday to spend some time with the family and with her before she continues her education at BYU Idaho.

Here's Brian and Brayden waiting for her to come through security! We had a sign and were more than ready for her to come since we'd seen a few other missionaries come through before her!

There's our missionary! She's here!!

Brayden had some smiles for her but was more interested in her missionary tag! He thought that was pretty cool!

We got to visit with her downstairs at a table for awhile before she had to board her plane to Seattle.

WELCOME HOME STEPHANIE!! We're happy to have you home and can't wait to spend some time in Seattle with you!!

Swimming

Brayden and I went swimming with my friend, Rachel, from high school and her two little boys, Hunter and Satchel, yesterday. Hunter is 3 years old and Satchel is just about two weeks younger than Brayden. Hopefully they'll become good little buddies! Brayden really seemed to enjoy swimming this time....probably because we were the only ones in the pool and it was the perfect temperature! Thanks Rach for having us!!

Goodbye Uncle Kellen!

Uncle Kellen left last Saturday to go down to college in St. George, Utah. He's attending Dixie College and will be playing on the baseball team there. He came by and said goodbye to us and Brayden on his way down to school with my parents! He came to say goodbye on his way down with my parents. It's already really weird to not have him here with us! But we're looking forward to going down to see some of his games this fall and having him come home and visit!

Some Firsts.....

Brayden has had quite a few firsts lately! Here's just a few....

--He can roll over all ways now. He started rolling from his back to his tummy and can now go from his tummy to back. He's learned he can get around the room and get to toys by rolling over. (We're working on video of this.)

--He has cut his first teeth! He now has two bottom center teeth! We had quite a few nights of waking up a lot but we're now back to sleeping through the night luckily! They have broken through the surface but are still growing in. Even though they've come through, he's still totally drooling! His shirts are ALWAYS wet!

--Brayden's eating green beans and carrots now. He seems to enjoy them and tonight ate an entire jar of green beans!!

A few more things....

Here's a few more pictures of Brayden this week. We can't believe he's almost 6 months old!! We added green beans to his diet this week and he really seems to like them.

This is one of the few hats Brayden has worn that actually fit him. He tries on Daddy's and Uncle Logan's hats all the time. He really doesn't seem to mind having them on....we thought he'd try to get them off but he hasn't!

Sleeping like that doesn't look comfortable!

Brayden's way of stalling when it's time for bed! He knows those smiles will keep him up a little longer!!

Playing Outside With Goats!

Tonight we played outside with Brayden in my parent's backyard. My parent's neighbors that are behind them have goats and currently have 11 little goats running around. Brayden loved watching all the goats run around and then they handed us one over the fence for Brayden to play with. He really seemed to like the goat and didn't make a peep when the goat kept wanting to suck his fingers! Mom was trying to keep his fingers away from the goat but it didn't always work!

High Chair

We finally decided to buy a high chair for Brayden and he seems to love it! Here's a few pictures from the last couple days since we've had the high chair.....

Bath Tub video

We have been enjoying bath time with Brayden. I haven't had time to edit the movie, enjoy!

L Cove Ranch

Brayden made his first trip up to the Leavitt Family Ranch over the weekend. We went up there and visited Jacob, Abbey, Ben, and Max Calvert, while they were there for 2 weeks. We had a lot of fun visiting with them and showing Brayden around the ranch. He seemed to enjoy looking at the cows in the pasture and spending time with Ben & Max. We're hoping Max and Brayden will be good little buddies since they are only a month and a half apart in age.

Bathtime

Brayden and Daddy share a special time of the day.....bathtime! Brian bathes Brayden unless he's not home that time of night, which is usually only on Wednesday nights when he works late. Brian has started filling up the bath tub a little bit and letting him sit and play after he's all cleaned up. Brayden LOVES this and has learned how to splash, which usually results in a very wet daddy! We'll try and post a video of this soon so you can see what we're talking about!

Some recent pictures....

He loved sitting on Brian's lap the other night!

We walked home after having dinner at Grandma & Grandpa's house and Uncle Logan decided to come home with us. For some reason Brayden thought being in the Bjorn was HILARIOUS that night and laughed almost all the way home. We think it might have been something with the wind because it was pretty windy that night and we were walking into the wind.

Almost every night around Brayden's bedtime we get a knock on the door....Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Logan come up and visit and say goodnight to Brayden. Uncle Logan has gotten really good at feeding Brayden his cereal at night. This was the first time he fed him but he's done it a few times since.

Brayden is just loving playing with his toys now that he can sit up!

Brayden has found his feet recently and has decided he likes to eat them! If only we were all so flexible!

Grandma Leavitt went with Uncle Logan to Cooperstown, New York, so Logan could play in a baseball tournament back there. They had a lot of fun and brought Brayden back his first baseball glove! He really seems to like playing with it, but not when you actually put it on his hand! He's already to play now that he's got a glove!
