Thanksgiving Point Farm Country

Last Thursday we enjoyed an afternoon at the farm at Thanksgiving Point with our neighbors, the Richardson's.  Originally it was Betsey and I with the kids (my boys, her girl) but Caleb heard what we were doing and didn't want miss out on all the fun!  He was a trooper considering he's allergic to horses!  Brayden LOVED getting to ride the horses THREE different times and Easton was great and slept in his stroller the whole time! Thanks for a fun time guys!  We'll have to plan our next outing!!
Betsey kept trying to get Brayden to hold his hand out flat, but he didn't really catch on!

The best pic of Brayden and Josilyn.
I love this one of Caleb and Josi looking at the animals!
Brayden loved feeding all the animals but especially the chickens and goats!

I just have to laugh at this pic!  Betsey was feeding this goat and then freaked out when he jumped up and got right in her face!  She hurried and turned away, otherwise we would be seeing her face!
Our little cowboy enjoying the ride...

Brayden and the Batting Helmet

If you know Brayden, you know he LOVES baseball!  He was just kindof born into it I guess.  He went to his first baseball game when he was just a month old!  He's got all the baseball gear, is on his 2nd glove (he out grew his first already), and plays baseball in some form at least once a day!  He's finally big enough to have his own batting helmet and has been wearing it around the house almost 24/7 since he got it this week!  He's been pretending to be a baseball player and running around the house!  He's even got to use it at Grandma and Grandpa Leavitt's house now that they put their batting cage back up for the summer.  (That was my purpose in buying it...he'd be able to be out in the cage and be a little more protected!)  He's worn it while driving in the car, and this morning was even wearing it with just his pj shirt and underwear!   He's even tried to hang it on his baseball shelf in his room with his baseball hats.  Unfortunately it doesn't fit up there but that's alright, it wouldn't last long being up there the way he's wearing it anyway!

Feeding Seagulls and Geese

After cheering on Aunt Torey, we went over to see our good friends (and 2nd cousins), Jacob & Abbey Calvert and their boys, Ben and Max.  We had a great lunch, visited while the boys played, and then went off to the park to feed the ducks.  Jacob stayed home and missed out on the fun at the park since he had just gotten home from working an all night shift.  We thought we'd be feeding ducks but it ended up being mostly seagulls and a few geese.

Two loaves of bread went fast with these three boys!  Especially when they decided to eat some of it too!

Thanks for a fun afternoon Calverts!  Let's do it again soon!!

Aunt Torey's Marathon

On Saturday morning, we cheered on Aunt Torey as she ran the Salt Lake City Marathon!  It was her third one and she finished in just over 4 1/2 hours!  Way too much time to be running if you ask me!!  We went and watched her near the finish line at the Gateway Mall.  The entire drive up to SLC, Brayden kept looking for the race and asking when we were going to get there!  At first he was sad we didn't get to watch the start of the race but once he got over that, he had a great time cheering her on and holding his sign!

Torey grabbed all kinds of goodies to share with those of us who came out to cheer her on!
Torey's partner in crime with her marathon running is Laura.  This was the third one they've done together and boy do they have some fun stories to tell!  Especially about running the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco!  Way to go girls!!  When's the next one?!?

Taking A Bottle

Easton took a bottle this morning for the first time and had no problem!  Mom might just do it more often so she can get a break since pumping is faster than nursing!! Brayden, being the big brother that he is, was SO excited to help!

Leavitt Family Fun

Last night we gathered at my grandparent's house in Alpine to visit with them one more time before they left today!  They've been here for three weeks and we are sad to see them go!  We're anxious to have them  back up next month!  Besides my family and grandparents, Ryan and Laura and their boys came over too!  We had dinner (Panda Express was Grandma's request!) and then visited!  Brayden LOVES playing with the boys and was so excited to see them again!  (He went over and played last Saturday night too!  Mom and Dad got to go out to dinner!!)
Easton with Great Grandma Leavitt and Jared
Easton was SO happy over there!  And SO cute sporting the shirt I bought for him!
Four Generations
The boys (minus Easton of course!) were having a great time playing in the basement!  I tried to get the 4 of them to stop and let me take a picture of them with Grandma and that's the best I got...Jared ran away too fast!
Easton ended up falling asleep with Dad!
Those boys play rough and wear Brayden right out!
Jared, Spencer, Brayden, and Tye.  Notice the blood on Jared and Tye's shirts?  Yeah wrestling can cause bloody noses and Jared was the victim!  (I've never seen so much blood from a bloody nose!)  Oh, and see the snow on the ground?  Winter decided to come back for a few days this week! :(
I had to take a few more pictures when we got home of Easton in his "I'm Rad Like Dad" shirt!  I thought it might fit for Father's Day but he's growing too fast!  It's 3-6 months and I'm not sure it'll make it that long!
He's getting so big and loves to suck his fist, fingers, thumb, or whatever he can get!

2 Months

Easton is two months old today!  We're loving all the sounds he's learning to make, the smiles that he gives, and how he loves to watch and listen to his big brother!  He's given Mom the chance to sleep 6 or 7 hours a few times and we can only hope he decides to do it all the time!

At his doctor's appointment today we got his current stats...
Weight: 11 pounds 13 ounces (55%)
Length: 22.5 inches (34%) (we think they messed up either last time or today!)
Head Circumference: 15.75 inches (52%)
Yeah, those poor little chubby thighs got poked for the first time today!  And second and third time too! :(
After working in the garden and Easton's doctor's appointment, we enjoyed watching Uncle Logan's baseball game!  They beat American Fork and Logan had a GREAT bunt!  These are the two "money" shots I got today!  The first one is the ball right before he hit it!  He hit it really hard RIGHT at the second baseman!
There's his GREAT bunt...right down the third base line!

Getting the Garden Ready!

Brian and Brayden spent a good portion of the morning outside today getting the garden ready!  They pulled all the weeds, got more rocks out, and rototilled!  Next we need to spread out all the compost we bought, till that in, and then it's time to plant!!

As you can see...Brayden LOVED using his new tools from Grandpa & Grandma Petersen!  They were put to good use and kept him busy...until he started making "dirt angels!"  That's when it was time to come inside!

In a completely unrelated note, we finally made a switch today!  Now that we have Direct TV we can watch ALL the BYU games!  That wasn't the reason we switched though...major league baseball.  Yeah, we get EVERY game now!  Haven't decided if it's going to be a good thing or a bad thing yet...at least you'll know what we'll be doing most nights!  Cheering on the San Francisco Giants and the Seattle Mariners!

Easter 2009

We had a wonderful Easter yesterday!  Brayden woke up excited to see what the Easter Bunny had brought!  Apparently this three year old also thought that the Easter Bunny would BE HERE waiting for him to wake up!  After some tears and explaining, he finally decided he'd go see what he brought even though he wasn't here!  (Aunt Torey has told Brayden that the Easter Bunny lives in Mexico apparently so he must have needed to start making the trip back home!)  Once we were done with Easter baskets, finding the hidden eggs, and getting the money off the floor boards, we got ready and attended church in my parents ward with my family and my grandparents.  It was really nice to spend the time together and reflect on the atonement and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Easter Bunny left a dragon kite and a frog book and puppet for both the boys.

The best picture of our family at the Mt Timpanogas Temple after church!  Bright sun, wind, and getting 4 people to all look at the camera was a challenge!
Of course, just getting a three year old to look at the camera is hard too!
There we go!
I loved the Spring flowers!
The Mount Timpanogas Temple.  It was SUCH a beautiful Spring day!
My little guy on his first Easter!  He's wearing the same outfit Brayden wore his first Easter!
After changing our clothes after church, Brayden had ate a cupcake that Aunt Torey had made.  In the evening we headed up to Great Grandma Price's house for Easter dinner and fun with the cousins!  Katelyn and Lauren hid MORE Easter eggs for Brayden to do another Easter egg hunt!  (More candy is just what we need right?!?!)

Katelyn was so cute with him!  She helped him find all the eggs around the backyard!

She even held his bucket for him when it got too heavy!
Brayden with my cousins, Katelyn and Lauren.
Easton enjoyed being held by everyone during dinner and all the fun!  Great Grandma Price hadn't seen him for awhile since she went on a trip to Turkey recently.  For dinner we had ham, potatoes, cabbage salad, asparagus, rolls, rainbow jell-o, and fruit and dessert was Fat Boy ice cream sandwiches and these cute nests that I made! (But didn't take a picture of!)
Brayden and the girls again!
He kept calling Katelyn his mommy!  He also LOVED playing with Andrew!  He can't get enough of these kids and when they're around, we hardly see him!  He was SO worn out after all the fun that he fell asleep in the car on the way home around 8pm and slept all night until 8:30 this morning!  SO nice for Mom and Dad!  Especially since Easton decided to throw us for a loop last night and not sleep as good as he's been doing!
