Painting Bread with Great Grandma Leavitt

We've really enjoyed having Great Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt in town lately and a few days ago timed our visit to their house perfectly! Grandma was just pulling some of her homemade wheat bread out of the oven! Brayden was excited to help her by "painting the bread" with olive oil! Grandma makes the BEST bread!!

Easton and the Bumbo Seat

We finally bought a Bumbo seat for Easton and he loves it! We figured he would since he loves to be sitting up on our laps lately! I think he's so happy because he can see better what's going on around him!

Of course Brayden has to get in at least one picture! (He's stripped down to his undies after helping Dad out in the garden and he was just headed to get in the bathtub!)
Oh and he has recently found his feet and likes to watch what they are doing!

He also enjoyed some tummy time this morning while leaving a large wet spot on the quilt from all his drool!

Brian's Recent Project

Today Brian took on the project of putting a drip system in our garden!  This way with our upcoming trip to Seattle, the garden will be watered on it's own!  And even after that, no more hauling the hose out to that corner of the backyard to water!  That's already become quite a chore with Easton in the Bjorn and Brayden wanting to help everytime!  Brian's done a great job of getting the garden put in this year and I'm afraid I haven't been a whole lot of help with a little one demanding my attention!  Thanks babe!
Front to Back row:peas, peas (seeds), romaine lettuce (celery on the end), head lettuce (celery on the end), broccoli, onions (cilantro on the end), onions, green beans (seeds), jalepenos, tomatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, cantaloupe, tomatoes, and pumpkins.

Those 4 rows should become corn once the seeds decide to come up!

Family Party

Last Sunday we gathered again at Ryan and Laura's house (just like we did on Mother's Day) only this time we were celebrating my cousin, Jared's 7th birthday!  Any excuse to be together as family is good!  Brian got to join us this time and so with my hands that were free this time, I snapped a few pictures.

Three Months

This handsome little guy is three months old today and we couldn't love him more!!

At three months Easton...
loves to eat his hands,
can't get enough of watching his older brother's every move,
calms down in the car when Brayden sings along to Raffi,
always has a smile for everyone,
loves to be snuggled in a blanket when he sleeps,
enjoys going for walks and being outside,
is growing way too fast,
and is Momma's boy!

Mother's Day

We enjoyed a nice Mother's Day yesterday.  Brian got home late Saturday night and then was off again Sunday afternoon! :(  We were able to have breakfast together, open my present and have Brian set it up, attend church, and then rush over to my parent's house to talk to my brother on his mission!  (Kellen is serving in France and will be home in 13 weeks!  He's doing SO great!!)  We spent a little bit more time together after talking to Kellen before Brian headed to the airport!  In the evening, we gathered as a family at my aunt and uncle's house.  My Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt, their three boys and their families were all together for a BBQ!  It was nice to spend the day with family but we were REALLY missing Brian!  Good thing he'll have two weeks off here in a couple of days!
My Mother's Day present...a double stroller!
My boys and I!  Brayden is SO excited about going on walks and riding next to Easton!
My parents enjoyed Easton talking and smiling to them!

Better Batter Baseball

Shane's birthday present to Brayden is still a hit!  This past week Brayden's enjoyed taking it outside after dinner and playing.  The first night we made the mistake of going in the front yard and we immediately had 9 older neighborhood kids lined up ready for their turn!  We didn't want one of them to break it so we moved our baseball playing to the backyard!  Of course, Brayden has to wear his helmet and hit with his "hard Easton baseball bat"!

Thanks again Shane!  Next time we see you, you can witness the fun in person!

The Babies

Easton and Rachel are getting SO big!  Easton is chubby and short while Rachel is thin and tall!  Complete opposite body types!  With Stephanie here visiting this past week, we had lots of time hanging out with Bruce, Beth, and Rachel.  Easton and Rachel enjoyed some time on the floor with some toys while we visited.  Every once in awhile one of them would see the other and it just made me excited for the day they'll interact more!  (They do occasionally cry when the other one does but that doesn't count!)  Brayden enjoys playing with them and getting them to smile so we had to take a few pictures of their reactions to him!

Bowling

Last Monday we enjoyed a fun filled day!  Aunt Stephanie was in town visiting and watched the boys while Brian and I saw a movie (State of Play) and went to lunch (Los Hermanos) for our anniversary!  It was SO nice to spend time together just the two of us!  After we got home we decided to keep the fun going and that we'd all go bowling for family night!  It was Brayden's first time and he LOVED every minute of it!  He looked so cute in the little bowling shoes and was VERY determined to carry his ball all by himself!  It was an 8 pound ball!  Brian beat me in bowling for the first time in our marriage by bowling a TURKEY!  (4 strikes in a row!)  Easton did great in his carseat for half the time and then we had to take turns holding him so we could all bowl!  Brayden wasn't too happy when it was time to leave but promising to stop for frozen yogurt on the way home helped!  We had a fun night and will have to go bowling again soon so I can regain my bowling title!

He would hold on and jump up and down as he waited for his ball to make it's way down the lane to the pins!
SO excited!

Good job Brian!
This kid LOVES to celebrate!  He even has a victory dance he performs!
