The kids' birthday party was awesome. Really, it went off very well. We had about 50 people there. I didn't know we knew 50 people, but... apparently we do! The 10am timing of the party, although unusual, was great. a) it would seem people don't normally have plans for 10am on a saturday morning and that's why I think we had such awesome attendance. b) the bounce house we rented for the party was hot. and the weather was hot. it was very fun in the morning, but it would probably have been miserable if we'd tried bouncing in the afternoon.
Besides the bounce house we had face painting (by Danielle), bubbles, cotton candy (made by Brianne), and of course cakes (pretty smash cakes made by Danielle, ugly large cakes for adults made by me), ice cream, and food. Since I don't normally blog about all the people in the pics below I'm going to leave their names off, but it was great to have everyone attend! Besides watching my kids have a ball, one of the highlights of the party was watching everyone bounce - we had 8 month old babies in there, lots of 2-ish year olds, a couple older kids, and lots and lots of adults! in fact, after the party ended and we put the kids down for a nap, we had an adult-only bounce before deflating the bounce house. :)
also, a big thanks to dave, who took all the pictures below. they are awesome!

party time
today is the last day of kaylee's first year. sigh. crazy how time flies...
anyways, saturday is party day! I have been sorta slacking on this party. We all went to CA, and on Monday we flew back and I stopped into work I was talking to a coworker who said, "when's their party?" and I was like, "oh it's not this weekend but the next one." And someone else was like, "no dana, it's this weekend" and I was like, "hmmm... you're right. I should get on that."
Anyways, here's the front of their invite!
It's not my best design, but hey, it does have cute pics of my kids so... what can you say? The back says that it will be at our house, and you don't need to bring a gift. RSVP to me please! Seriously, if you read my blog and aren't crazy, please let me know you're coming, but do come. Hopefully all the crazies don't know where my house is...
Off to the Leadership Summit now!
