Remy, Transport, & A Brother???

Hi furiends, It has been busy, lots happening. I wonder about these crazy people I live with sometimes.  I think my picture shows me as overwhelmed ---even my ears are messed up.

Here is a pic of me and my new little brother.  That's right, my brother.  Lucas just wormed his way into our family.  Maybe that's good now I am not the only mandog.
It was cold and M had him wearing his musche shirt.  They surprised Sasha,Chica & me.  Do you know they didn't even discuss having him stay with us all the time. Wellllll, he is fun to play with.  So I think he can stay.

This little guy Remy, left to go get tutored (mom calls it neutered) BUT he came back on the transport M & D did Saturday.  They said he wasn't strong enough and was tooooo skinny. So M gets to work at getting him strong enough to get his teeth cleaned & stuff & to get the other thing done.  Poor little guy - but he'll be better for it.  At least that's what they told me..(Chica likes him - notice how she curls up around him on D's lap). Remy is getting stronger every day.  He even walks around outside and is not nearly as wobbly.
Here I am - watchful as ever.  Just waiting for the neighbors cat to come by the fence or even any other critter that might want to "play"

Sasha & Remy.  Sasha sure likes him.  I think maybe she is the biggest he has ever seen.

Mom really likes the way Khyra's Mom gets pics of all the pups she transports & wanted to take pics on Saturday of the 6 they had.  Well, Mom took her camera but it was raining very HARD & they were working fast to get the pups transferred from vehicle to the other.   That's her excuse why no pics of them.  They were very sweet.
Sure hope they all get good homes.
It's nice having a brother, I think.

Finally - Whiskey Woods & Lincoln Park - Remy

Finally, we got our long walk at  Whiskey Woods and Lncoln Park.  WhooHoo!!!

Chica & me leading the way.  Lately M seems to get more butt shots.  She attaches herself to those long things and stays behind us.

A muddy wet spot in Whiskey Woods.  The rains had left the hillside leaking..
Sammy & his Mom went with us. Sammty is almost hidden by his Mom's legs. Maybe he was staying away from the camera thingie.
Two big trees along the path in Lincoln Park.
These trees are barely hanging on  & are growing sideways.  There were places where the hillside had slid. M said it was because of all the rains we had.
Chica & me going down the hill & heading for the beach. The sun was very bright!!! Almost wondered what that shiny thing was in the sky.

Another downhill with sun spots.  Think M musta liked them in the picture.
Still more downhill trail.   Sometimes we go up these trails & wander up & down on the different ones.
Sammy posing on the rocks at the beach.
That Sam has become a real ham.  He is always sneaking into M's pictures....
Finally, one of Chica.  She wanted to keep moving.  Quit standing around....

M & D  met a transport from CA to pick up this little guy.  They were only going to have him for a couple of days until the next leg of the transport to go get "tutored"  (We didn't tell him what that really was...
All us really liked the little guy.  He was all bones and very frail so we watched over him & treated him very nice.
He got cold easy so Mom put a little jacket "muscle shirt" on him and he was very comfy in the blanket.  Chica liked him and watched over him.  Dad's lap was very full.
His name is Remy and he weighs about 3#'s.  He is a SURVIVOR!!! He was considered to be dead until his eye flickered.  His temp was down to about 84degrees.  They gave him a chance and just when they thought it wasn't going to work - Guess What!!! He got up and walked..Even if a bit shaky.   Everyone who has met him has fallen in love with him and wants to give him a BEST  forever life with loving folks.

Here he is with Sasha.  She really liked him too.  She is so GOOD with the little ones.  She is a pushover with them most of the time.

Have a good week.

Urban Exploring

Hi furiends, It was a day to explore some backroads of our neighborhood.  We found a pond with lots of ducks and new places to sniff & explore.  WE mostly had to keep that "rope thing" attached to us.

The pond was full of these.  M called them ducks & said this was a beautiful Mallard.  We heard - blah, blah, blah.  We wanted to get closer & check them out.
Chica in the red coat, Lucas in the blue star coat & me with no coat.  I am tough and didn't need one.  Too bad this was as close as we could get to those swimmy things.
There were a lot more but they were further away.  It was peaceful & nice there.  Wish we could have run free. But it wasn't to be this day.
Treat time. We had walked a long way & Sammy's Mom was giving us a snack.  She is good at that. She knows we furkids need a little something to keep going.  At least we have her convinced.  At the top of the pic is our friend Hana, & down at the bottom corner you can see the top of Sammy's head & mine.  We were being good & waiting our turn.  The others pretended to be "starving"  We know they aren't.
He was posing so we got another close up of this guy.
Sammy & I finally moved in for our share of the treats.  Good thing she had some left.
Notice how Chica hogs the camera.  Lucas & I barely got in the picture.  M says it is hard to get us all together sometimes.  M wanted to take all of us (there are 5) but couldn't cuz our neighbor was taking us all & dropping us off and we were working our way home from where he dropped us off.  So since it was a long walk, Sasha & Pinto had to stay home.  BUT M promised them she would take them later.  Mom did take me and Sasha.  Pinto doesn't really like to walk on leash but he IS getting better.  Hot dog pieces are helping.....

Mom promises to take us to Lincoln Park & to Whiskey Woods on our next walk.  We like any walks/hikes but those 2 are pretty much the top of our list for Urban hikes closer to home.
Enjoy your day!!

Garden sniffs & white stuff & Caya

Hi everypup & friends,  It's me Sasha.   I begged to take a turn at this posting stuff cuz I wanted to tell all our furiends that Caya was adopted on Saturday.  She was here for almost 4 months. Now it is almost too quiet here. She loved me and did a great job of cleaning my ears, mouth, & nose.  She could be a pest ( very sweet though) but I let her take care of me.  It made her feel good.Me too actually even if I did "moan" at her.  Couldn't really be called a growl. Besides she didn't pay any attention to my "mean" or "stopthat" noises.
Today it wasn't raining so we all went outside with Mom while she "scooped". That is one of her jobs.  Glad it's her.  We don't think cleanup should be a job for us.  We spent a lot of time just running & playing.  Pinto saw M coming and decided to make like he wasn't doing anything.  WE know he was also helping Lucas dig..  He's pretending to be innocent....

Who us?  We're not doing anything.  Just resting from our game of chase...

I am checking out the branches that blew off our tree in the wind.  I thing something was thru here.  Smells like those squirrels.. They been sneaking around.

Don't know what this is. Looks like M must have been taking a  picture but missed whoever it was. Those little guys move fast.

GG watching Ernie and the little ones.  GG is our Grandma and she is 92 years young.
WE had SNOW.  It came during the night and when M & D got up at 5 and let us all outside we had fun making tracks.  Looks like a big pack went thru our yard.  That's when there was still 6 of us all together.
It wasn't a lot of snow like some pups been getting but we had fun.  It was still dark so the pics don show a lot.  But a lot of feet prints -looks like dots.
Looking in the front and down the street.
That's all pups.  Sasha signing off for now.  I'll be back.  How do you like my tongue?  It's almost the same color as my cute nose.  M says I am getting whiter all the time.  It's my ghostie look.
Love you all

Talented Schnoodle

Hey, it's me Ernie.  Been awhile.  My assistant has been "busy" with rescue stuff.  Or so she says.   So -- I started looking around and found a Schnoodle named Tucker that is Furry talented.  He sings & plays piano.  Thought you might enjoy his concert.

Other stuff, we still have Caya,Lucas, & Pinto.  There is an Adoption Event this Saturday - maybe they will find their special homes.  M says they are getting furry comfy at our place but we can't keep them.

Chica & I are doing fine all done with expressing & antibiotics & my teeth are shiny white.   M has gotten some kind of "bug".  She is now pestering us with the tooth brushing & toenail clippers more often.  Even the fosters are getting in on it.

We did have a fun day between rainy times.  We went for a long walk to the beach.  No pics though.  Only thing it was so cold we didn't get off the leash (M knew we would head for the water & would probably have icicles on us by the time we got home.)
Sasha & I tried out the ramp to the car & truck.  I don't really need it but I tried it out.  Not too bad.  I think Sasha is liking it. It is easier for her. Treats helped.
Have a fun day!

It was an expressive day!

Hi furiends,
Well, I  spent yesterday in the VET. Nice people but besides cleaning my teeth they decided I needed to express myself. It wasn't exactly what I had in mind. And then they said my expression was infected. How could that be???? I am a happy dog.  As if that wasn't enough they sent some antebotics home & I have to go back next week to be checked again.  Chica was lucky, she only got a Rabies shot and a little expression. Maybe that's because she is little and I am bigger so they had more to work with me on.  I didn't notice any problems (Neither did M). M says I am a strong pup and never complain.  Guess that's good. My question  -- how could she notice Chica's expressing problem and not mine.

Enough of that! Chica & I got to go for a lonnnnng walk before the rain started.  Tomorrow M says she will try to take everyone (even if only a couple of us at a time.)
Hope you all have a good day!!
Keep on brushing those teeth!!!

Birthday/Gotcha Day, Vet & stuff

Hi furiends,
Chica got some new toys, & treats (Milk bones) for her birthday/gotcha day. Nothing real fancy but it was fun & M says it kept us all busy.  One of the toys kinda looked like her (it wasn't really for her gotcha day) but they tried to fake her out with it.  It is one of those toy things that plays music when someone pinches it paws. It kinda looked like her.  A little Taco dog.  It sang Jingle Bells & Feliz Navidad.
This braided toy thing Chica has was her favorite.  The little Chi's didn't like the musical TacoBell dog.  They thought it was a monster or something scary.  They barked & snuck up on it to check it out.  M tried to get pics of it but those little ones are FAST & sometimes all she got was a blur or a tail.

I have eyes! It was long enough since my last bath I got another one AND M finished my haircut.  I think she only did it because I looked really scruffy when Chica & I went to the V E T yesterday.  Chica needed a Rabies shot & something expressed.  From the sounds of it I didn't think it was going to be  any fun.  I  had to go back today to get my teeth cleaned.  M always seems to miss my back teeth.   The V E T showed her an easier way to get to them.  Now she has no excuse not to take care of the back teeth.  I didn't even get food this morning.  Everypup but me got to eat.  So NOT fair.    They said I would be there all day.  I am not sure I like that idea.  They also said something about ear hair, toenails & checking to see if I needed expressing. Didn't sound fun to me.    Maybe it's a good thing I will be napping while they do all that stuff.
M is always trying to get just the 3 of us together for a group picture.  One of these days maybe we will let her get a GOOD one for the new header picture she wants.
Sasha did this. She REALLY enjoys opening packages.  She knew something tasty was inside!!!

Feeding time at the Pups Zoo.  Chica, Lucas, Pinto, Mario(who has been adopted), & Caya

Still waiting---Please let us in.  We are hungry.  The haziness is due to all the nose prints.  M cleans them up & we put them back.  Think it is our job...
The little ones helping Sasha - especially once she started opening the present.
That wrapping didn't hold up long  - one bite/snap & the box was done for.  The wrapping didn't last long either.  That girl is good at opening presents - not shy at all.

Then Sasha started on other peoples presents.  This one had Biscotti in it.  Milk Bones weren't enough for her - she wanted more.   Guess these smelled more exciting.
Chica still playing with the braided toy M made.  Think she liked it better that the other real toys that squeaked.  Sasha took them over.

Mom here.... Caya had a meet with some people interested in adopting her.  It looked like they really wanted her & she really liked them and their little girls.  BUT then they decided she might be too small for their family.  So, guess it's all good.  It is better she be with us  than with people who weren't sure.   The right people/person will come along someday we are sure.

Thanks for visiting us.
