A Little Humor

Lucas here.  Chica & I were having a "discussion" about whether or not to share with you our furiends something our M was laughing about.  I won.  Talked Mom into using it today.
Since we are Chi's, thought it was funny.  Mom was reading it aloud  from http://partipoodle.homestead.com/files/doghumor/jokes/dog_talk.html

She just found it on the internet.  Have a fun day.  Lucas
The Taco Bell Chihuahua, a Doberman and a Bulldog are in a doggie bar having a drink when a good-looking female Collie comes up to them and says, ''Whoever can say liver and cheese in a sentence can have me.''
So the Doberman says, ''I love liver and cheese.''
The Collie says, ''That's not good enough.''

The Bulldog says, ''I hate liver and cheese.''
She says, ''That's not creative.''
Finally, with his Mexican accent, the Chihuahua says, ''Liver alone......cheese mine.''

Me and Sasha

WhooHoo!  Finally Just me and Sasha out for a fun walk and catching up on PeeMail.

My happy & sweetest bestest furiend Miss Sasha!!
OOOPS! This belonged in a different place-next to Sasha &her rock....
Heading down one of our favorite trails. Maybe we'll see a Fox or a Coyote or maybe even one of those squirrel critters.

Finally we had some sun and it sure felt good to be outside in it.

Heading down the trail.

Hey Sasha, can you believe it!!! This is an exciting piece of PeeMail

Something just passed this way.  Can't quite figure out what it was...
We walked through this park  before heading down the trail.

The beginning of the down hill trail.  (M got this out of order).  This was near the beginning of the downhill. As we went down the growth on the trail closed in around us.  Maybe there hadn't been too many on the lower part of it.
Love this rock!

Hey Sasha, I love the rock too!  Glad you shared with me.  Note:  we never did see any critters on this walk.  Lots of good sniffs though.

We are still waiting for something called summer.  They say when it is Summer the Sun shines MORE and it gets warmer.  It was nice for our walk BUT it is trying to rain again.  M says we are lucky because we aren't having THE Heat WAVE.

Playtime

Mamacita aka Dolly enjoying a good scratch while I Lucas entertain the babies.  The brown boy is Brutus, the brindle boy is Bones( he plays but is more quiet, at least during this major filming. The 2 blonds are Lula the only girl in the bunch (she has some white on her nose) and Spike (he doesn't have white on his nose).  Not sure what Chica is doing - I think she is trying to figure them out.  M says the babies are 7 weeks old now and are going to see the vet to get their first shots today.  I'm not going to tell them about what happenbs there.  No not me....

They are even eating real food and I personally think Mamacita is getting to the point of needing some alone time.
Have a good day!!
Lucas signing off

NW Trek Eatonville,WA - animals

One of many deer who posed for us at NW Trek.
While the grand bipeds were visiting us, we took a day trip to NW Trek in Eatonville, WA.  It was a beautiful day and we saw MANY animals up close.  Here are just a few of the pictures of what we saw.  May  be more to follow.  The scenery & land where NW Trek is located is beautiful. This is probably the first "chapter"  WE had a great time.  I took LOTS of pics.   But sad to say we had to leave all the furkids home. Sorry Ernie,Sasha,Chica,Lucas & Dolly & the 4 pups.  GG and Dad took GREAT care of them.  Thanks to you both.

Lunch time. Waiting.  It was a long wait for this Grizzly.  He had to rest up so he could search for the food. Whatever the reason, he was VERY intent and watchful or maybe he just liked that rock.

Wolf.  Very beautiful.  Reminded me of  my Sibes.
My daughter in law D with K&K.  According to the rings on this tree, it started growing in 1335!!! It was cut down in 1966.

There were many Moose to see. Actually quite a few of all the many animals.  We went on the tram tour which was very interesting and all the animals to be seen on that tour were herbivores.

Mr. Bison was looking a bit shaggy.  Still losing his winter coat. Don't think I'd like to mess with him.  Check out the horns.

This Great Horned Owl was injured so will be spending the rest of his life at NW Trek and helping the people there to educate the public. The birds, wolves, bears, coyotes, etc were on the walking trails we took.  It was beautiful and we enjoyed it so much we went back to some 2 or 3 times.

OOOH!  How itchy is this?!  Can't wait to get rid of this winter coat.

Big Horn Rams

Leaf shadow on rock.  Looked like it was "painted".
Bald Eagle.  One of many birds types of birds that are kept due to injury and can no longer function in the wild.

Tree showing years on some of the rings.
Taking time to smell the flowers......

Lynx.  This is the first time I had ever heard their sound.  It was eerie.  It sounded kind of like a mix of a "meow" & a "bark"
We have missed you so now that we are back we will be visiting you all again and commenting.  Thanks for visiting us.     Mom Barb

Happy Days

Ernie here.  Wishing all our furiends and their hoomans a special 4th of July!!! AND just so's you know no pups were injured in the making of the videos I had M include.  . Although you will hear Spike yelp and hold up his paw.  M checked and he was fine.  Didn't seem to have any problems with it.
1st taste of real food.  From left to right---Lula, Brutus, Bones, & Spike.  They are even drinking water from the bowl.  They decided on their own to do that.  Smart pups. I didn't have to teach them.

Lula & Brutus playing
Helping to clean up pee pads etc.  Notice how they are working as a team....  Spike yelps in this one but he is OK. He was over it - whatever it was in a minute or so.  We checked.
Enjoy the holiday weekend all!!!!
