Well, it's official. I am 40 weeks TODAY! My due date has come, yet again. I have accepted the fact that I am a 40 week-er when it comes to the gestation of my children. Does that mean I love seeing my due date come (and in the last two pregnancies go...)? Not necessarily. But, there is a level of comfort in knowing that I make it to the end and so far we have had no "surprise" early visits when we weren't quite ready.
My niece came into the world just a few weeks ago (BEAUTIFUL and tiny... 5lbs 13oz) and surprised her family by being 3 weeks early! If I had had this little man 3 weeks ago, we would have been scrambling to get those last minute things done while he was already here. So, yeah, I am glad I know I go all the way to the end.
In fact when my Dr came into the exam room last week for my last check up she said "You're still here..." I just laughed and told her I had every intention of being there and expected to see her again next week! She laughed and said "Well, it does seem like your babies like to wait til the last minute." Why, yes ma'am, they do. Just like their momma did... I was 16 days late!! Thankfully they don't let you do that anymore. I wouldn't want to know how big my children would get after being in the womb 16 extra days! Yikes!
I get pregnancy updates on my phone and the first one I got talked about the baby being the size of a poppy seed. A poppy seed! that's really not much bigger than this --> • , if any! And now... It says the baby is about the size of a small pumpkin. Wow! What an amazing journey this has been. A poppy seed to a pumpkin!
I mentioned in my first Blog Nesting post that "as far as you knew" the baby still didn't have a name. And that's true! I haven't mentioned the fact that we finally named our little man!! His name is Grayson McKinley. Isn't that sweet??? Oh, I just love it. And I cannot wait to put a face with the name!
Being able to see and feel God's hands at work in my life to grow this baby these past 40 weeks has been such a blessing. Life is a miracle and because of His goodness and mercy He allowed me to be apart of it! Now for the 4th time... Yes, I am blessed.
Another reason I wanted to post this today is because... I am actually going into the hospital tonight to be induced in the morning. So... We should be meeting little Grayson in the next 24 hours or so! Eeeek!!! I'm getting excited. The boys are squared away with Gram and Papaw, our bags are packed, the list of "to do's" is done... I'm now just needing to take my shower and we are off on a little date afternoon before we check into the hospital.
Thank you all for your prayers, they are cherished. As well as all the love and support we have received! We are excited and anticipate great things for our little Grayson as the Lord brings him into this world.
Until next time...

First Day of School!
I hope you enjoyed my "blog nesting" as much as I enjoyed the challenge of completing it! It was fun and even though I kinda
cheated by not posting what I had planned on posting for day 6, I did
complete a full 7 days in a row of posting!! (even though Brandon had
his doubts... I showed him!)
So, now what?? Am I finished posting the things I feel I'm a little behind at? Am I now ready to start blogging about #4 when he arrives in just a couple days?? No... Not quite. But, I did get quite a bit covered with my blog nesting that I otherwise would not have finished before this little man is born. Maybe I can get one or two more posts in before he gets here!
All 3 boys are attending Parent's Day Out this Fall! The week before school started, we made a count down so they could cut rings off each morning and count down to their first day of school.
I'm not so sure Kohen quite understood what was going on, or if he understands even now after going to school for 6-ish weeks really. But he was very excited to be doing what his big brothers were doing! Whatever that was...
Peyton, knew very well that he was going to get to go to school just like Tristan did last year. He is excited to be "so big" like his big brother. Are you catching the trend going on here?
And of course here's the Old Pro, Tristan. He was excited about going back to school but not very excited to have a different teacher, classroom and even class mates. But, he quickly got over that once he got in his classroom and lost in the excitement of it all.
T & P are actually in the same class this year. They have the boys and girls split up so they can teach based on the way boys learn and girls learn so differently. So, Mrs. Mistie is their very brave all boy teacher. Our boys just love Mrs. Mistie and have really enjoyed being in her class. They always come home telling me how they got dirty that day and how they used their hands when they got to learn about whatever they were studying. I mean, they get to get dirty at school and not get in trouble for it! How fun is that?!?
Well, that's a wrap for the First Day of School. I am headed to bed with hopes of putting up one more post tomorrow. Which just happens to be a pretty big day..... ;)

They love when we do any kind of count down! Here is Tristan showing that there were only 2 days left!!
Breakfast on the first day of school. They were so excited, I was surprised they even ate!
Lunchboxes, Nap mats and Backpacks... Ready to go!
As you can see... They couldn't wait to get out the door!

This was right before we dropped them off. I am excited for them and myself at this point. Maybe a little
emotional thanks to pregnancy hormones and yada yada. But about 45
minutes after this picture was taken I was back at the house and was a
little unnerved at just how quiet our house was without the boys. Then I
quickly accepted a lunch date invitation from my husband and some
friends and filled my time until the crazies were out of school.
By
the way, I have since learned to enjoy my time while they are at school
and have spent most of the two days a week for 6-ish weeks getting
ready for our 4th little crazy!
A proud momma and her boys.
My handsome man and all his look-a-likes.
Kohen meeting his teacher, Mrs. Ashley. Not sure if you can see it but
he's not too sure about her at first glance. He has since fallen in love
with her, calls her "Mish Ashee" and it is so stinking cute.
He also quickly adjusted once he saw familiar faces of some of his little friends he usually sees in the nursery.
Oh and I'm sure snack-time helped make him feel comfortable too. :)
Here is Tristan and Peyton's class at Circle Time.

Oh to be a kid again! {B.N.D.7.}
Day 7: I will be covering our Family Vacation week! Brace yourself for LOTS of pictures of all the fun we had... It was the week following mine and Brandon's getaway weekend. And actually we met Monica and Melissa (B's Mom and Aunt) with the boys in Austin the night we ended our weekend and started off our family vacation with a trip to the CIRCUS!!!!
If this next day was being blogged about all by itself, I would undoubtedly title it "The Best $20 we've ever spent"...
And last but not least... Our last day of vacation... We got to see these two handsome men! And a whole slew of other family members!
But since they were in the state, we made plans to drive up and see them! We had a great visit with the family...
Well, that's it! That was our week of Family Vacation for 2011. We had such a great time together as a family and are just so blessed by God's goodness in all that we were able to do. Hope you enjoyed all the pictures!
We got there early and enjoyed some of the "Pre Show" on the floor.
Got to meet some of the performers and get autographs!
P acting like a clown
My pictures were a little blurry but you can see all the different exciting things going on all at once!
T wore that thing probably half of the show! (which was 2 1/2-ish hours long) Ha!
If you've never been to the Circus, let me just tell you... It is AMAZING!! I think us adults might have enjoyed it even more than the kids did. We all kept saying "Wow!", almost as if that's all we could get out of our mouths because of the sheer amazement!
Like:
11 Tigers being "controlled" by a little man in tights with a whip.
Or how about 7 motorcyclists in a metal dome all driving in circles at THE SAME TIME!
Check out these Elephants?! Seriously? Ah-mazing.
The Finale. Again, sorry it's blurry.
We decided the Circus was definitely a good way to start off our vacation and that we will
be going back again some day!
be going back again some day!
Thanks Gram & Aunt Lissa for joining us!
(My favorite family photo to date)
If this next day was being blogged about all by itself, I would undoubtedly title it "The Best $20 we've ever spent"...
Chuck E Cheese. Need I say more?
I mean, just look at the joy on this face!
Where else would you ever get to ride something like this contraption??
Or be 4 years old and beat your mom at a shooting game?? And for the record I'm not just one of "those" parents who lets their kids win... I was trying!
(check out the aim that kid has going on)
Counting our tickets!
Oh and if you would... Tell that pregnant lady that if she would just put her hand in her back pocket she will find 86, yes, 86 tickets that she won't otherwise find until she gets home much later that evening. *face palm* or should I say, *pregnancy brain*
Their prizes!
Also, where else other than Chuck E Cheese can you go and spend: 3 hours and $20
To leave with:
3 plastic lizzards
3 crazy straws
& 3 Smarties candies?
Yes, Chuck E... The Davis family will be back some day or another.
The Day we went to the Zoo!
I love the zoo. I am just as excited when we get to go as the boys are. It's just so fun, you know?
This particular zoo expedition we decided to let the boys bring a friend, Keith (or as they call him, Keiff). So, we had TWO 4 year olds, a 3 year old, 1 year old and a 7 & 1/2 mo pregnant lady and her brave husband to help keep the crazy to a minimum on this trip. Talk about fun. No, seriously, it was fun!
The boys scoping out the map and deciding which way we would go first.
The three amigos
Unfortunately, because of the heat, we saw a LOT of sleeping animals and quite a few empty cages.
What we did see, we thoroughly enjoyed!
It was fun being surrounded by so many handsome boys!
I know I'm not the only one who gets that very strange and even sick feeling when they see their children inches from deadly and highly venomous creatures... right? I know there's glass and blah blah blah... but, It's just not okay.
Wild Animals!
Spending a day at the Zoo (and out in the heat) made for a quiet ride home too... :)
We tried to make a point to the boys during our Vacation week that we were together. And that no matter what we did, we did it together and we were having fun as a family.
One night we surprised the boys by setting up a big pallet with air
mattresses, blankets and pillows and had a Family Movie Night!
Complete with popcorn, of course!
For our last vacation event of the week we went to the Mayborn Children's Museum in Waco.
We got to see so many neat things! One thing I loved about the Children's Museum was that just about everything we did was so hands on for the kids.
"Wook, Momma... Meemo!!" to Kohen, every fish is Nemo.
Check out this tiny starfish! I nearly didn't see it but when it caught my eye I decided I wanted to take a picture to show just how small it was. That's my index fingernail and the starfish was right on the other side of the glass. It was so tiny!
We were all very impressed with the Tornado simulator!
How cool is that?!
Doing their best Weatherman impression.
We got to put our hands on pieces of machinery and different forms of communication from years past. Typewriters and even a Switchboard!
Here, Tristan and I were learning about Braille and how people who can't see can read with their hands. We even got to fill out a card with our own braille words. It was so neat!
Our little servicemen.
We saw some truly amazing things.
Like this! This is a Humpback Whale Skull! We were able to talk about how big it was and how the fish that was able to swallow Jonah must have been huge like this fish was!
My handsome guys.
The last exhibit we went to before heading home was all about Egypt. Here we were watching how the sands move with the wind, covering up different artifacts or uncovering artifacts.
We got to see a mummy (which we weren't allowed to take pictures of...) and we even got to build our very own Pyramid!
A small one... out of wooden blocks... but a pyramid non the less!
Tah-Dah!
My mom flew my brother and nephew (Jeff & Joel) in from FL to surprise my Dad for his birthday! They went to eat Mexican food (a family favorite) and to see a Ranger game (also a family favorite)!
But since they were in the state, we made plans to drive up and see them! We had a great visit with the family...
I love these guys.
We got to love on and get loved on by the Grands!
It should go without saying but we ate good! Just like we always do! :)
The boys liked Nana & Pawpaw's good cooking too!
Got to catch up on life.
And take a few pictures. It was the perfect way to end a wonderful week!
Well, that's it! That was our week of Family Vacation for 2011. We had such a great time together as a family and are just so blessed by God's goodness in all that we were able to do. Hope you enjoyed all the pictures!
