Aunt Maureen and Uncle Ralph
Will's cousin Ammon (my age) and his son, Landon (4 years old) were in a really bad car wreck last week. They are both still in a coma with lung damage as well as brain issues. We don't know if Landon will make it and we don't know if Ammon will wake up from him coma. If they do pull through, then we don't know how their mental state will be. Of course, they have broken bones and cuts etc. but the scary parts are the brain and the lungs. We would love for you to all remember them in your prayers. With this bad news, I have found a silver liner. The Blevins family is AMAMZING! The support they have shown Aunt Maureen and Uncle Ralph is unreal. There is always someone at the hospital with them (usually 10 people) and many have even spent the night with them. I Have been there almost every day but Will has been there every chance he has had. He has also spent the night and held their hands the whole time. How cohesive they are is such a great reminder to me of how families are suppose to be. It makes me try to do be better and be more supportive. Also, it is amazing how they are on the brink of death and yet, I have so much hope. It is amazing how hope pulls you through when science says otherwise. Regardless of what will happen in the end, it has been such an amazing experience (not that I want anyone to go through it) that I am glad that I have had the opportunity to learn these lessons on family. I love this family and couldn't have gotten a better one. Well, I did with the one I was born into but I couldn't have married into a better one. I have learned alot with them about support (physical not just "thinking aobut them"). The old adage "The smallest deed is greater than the greatest intention" really rings true.
Happy Thanksgiving to all
