From the mouths of my babes

Cole:

Cole and Sage were sharing a room for a few weeks. It was not stop laughing and talking. One rather noisy night Will walks in to tell them it was time to go to sleep. Before he can get a word out, Cole says, "go away Dad, we're sleeping."

"Mom, I have a little bum and you have a big bum."

We called Will one morning and I let the kids each take their turns talking to him. I put it on speaker phone so that I can translate or whatever. Sage is talking to him and Will says, "are you my buddy?" Cole gets this strange look on his face and yells, "Dad Sage is not your buddy, she is your angel. I am your buddy!"

Me: "I have to go feed the baby"
Cole: "No Mom, you stay here, I will feed the baby"
Me: "you can't feed the baby."
Cole: "Yes I can, she can eat my nipples too."

Cole walks down the hall with his hands behind his back and pushing his tummy out as far as he can. "Mom look, I'm granddad. (in his deepest voice) Hey big man!"

Someone asked me if the baby cries. Cole jumps right in and says, "yeah she cries, ALOT!"

Sage:

"dana na na da na na na batman!"

"Bob the blder..fix it? yes can!"

My three darlings

People ask me how it is with three...how the baby is...how I am doing etc. Well, The baby is a baby. Wonderful in her own right but still a baby at night when you want to sleep. The other two kids are great except at night when they have now decided they don't have to sleep all night and need to wake up at least one time each a night. I don't know why they have suddenly taken on this project. But that is okay it will also pass. I am good. A little sleep deprived but at least they are all on the same nap schedule. That is great. Having three kids is wonderful. I love them very much and it is nice to see Will step up a bit more too. He actually hears the kids at night. I always tried to let him sleep before but now with all three waking up, Will gets the older kids and I get the baby. Sometimes I am on auto pilot though and I just get up and get the other kids and not think about it. That is okay too, at least Will gets a little treat that night. Over all it is great. The sleeping will get better and I am sooo glad I know how temporary that is. The kids all love eachother and although Sage loves to tease Cole, they are still the best of buddies. Life is good!
