Bummed

So, within about a hour of having our house listed, our dream home got an offer. Just great. Cam and I can't afford two mortgage payments, so we are going to have to wait......Ugh.

We are pre-approved!

We just got pre-approved for the new house. With a foreclosure/bank owned house, you have to be pre-approved before you can submit a bid.  We are one step closer! Our house listing should be up tonight. Here is a picture of the house we want: its hard to see with the trees and the blue paint is going ASAP if we get the house! we will also thin the trees out and take out the little ones so the house can actually be seen...

We talked out big plans for the changes we plan to make to it--I am so excited. Now, if everything will just start to fall into place so we can get to buying that house!

Natasha's Wedding

So my good friend from law school, Natasha, was crazy and got married in the middle of the semester. Only she could pull off such a beautiful wedding and manage not to miss class on Monday. Cam and I are so happy for her and Wes--they are a great couple!

Her wedding was at a bed and breakfast in Lincoln County (her hometown). It was the perfect day for an outdoor reception and a gorgeous place to have it.

First kiss. Sorry its blurry--I didn't want to use flash inside the church.

Introducing Mr. and Mrs.

The cake was delicious!

The problem with taking too many pictures at once--no one knows where to look.

Her centerpieces were beautiful.

First dance and a shot of the tent.

The beautiful bride.

Would you like to buy a house?

BIG NEWS!

We are planning on putting our house on the market today. It is a fabulous house, but Cam and I found our dream home in our dream neighborhood at an unbeatable price. So, we can't buy that house until we sell ours.

Know anyone looking for a house? Send them our way!

Ms. Julie's Shower and Bachelorette Party

Ceci and I hosted a shower for Julie. We had a great time with the girls and I finally had a good excuse to break out my china.

Last weekend, we all went to Louisville for her bachelorette party. We had a fabulous sushi dinner, drinks at Proof, and then after party at Sully's. Julie is such a good friend and sweet person--I am so happy for her and Felix and can't wait for their wedding next weekend.

The table, fully set.

Another shot of my table.

The girls.

Lucy, me, Ceci, Brittany, Paige, Julie and Katie.

We found a limo, covered in those flattened glass marbles. Obvious photo op...

Congrats Amy and Bryan!

Cam and I are so excited for his sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Bryan--they are expecting their first baby in March.  We are so thrilled for them! Poor Amy has been getting so sick, but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end.  We can't wait for our 9th niece/nephew!

Look for the tiny X: that is the baby.

Lizzie's Shower and Bachelorette

I am just getting the time to actually post these--so sorry I have been horrible lately, but now that my job search is done, moot ct brief is turned in, and there is only one source and cite for KLJ left, hopefully my life will be a little bit more calm! I have a ton to post, so I will try to do it quickly!

My random roommate in the dorms ended up becoming a sorority sister, close friend, and bridesmaid.  Liz is getting married in October--I can't wait for her wedding, it will be fabulous!

Some of her fiance's family friends threw a couple's shower for them.  Liz looked so cute and Cam and I had a wonderful time in northern KY.
The happy couple.

Liz's fiance is in the Navy, so we had a naval themed bachelorette.  We all wore navy and white and had sailor hats, and Liz wore a captain's hat with a veil on the back. Isn't it too cute--I absolutely love her dress as well!

Ceci, Julie and I in the bus.

Liz took an entire glass of Jager, as a shot. Champ.

One of my favorite Liz faces.

Wait, that's my beer..Ceci's and my Hofbrauhaus glasses.

Neither of Us Work From Home, But....

Cam and I have decided to turn that front formal living room into a home office/mini-library. We looked this weekend at furniture and found the general style that we like. Cam wants a triple bookcase on the wall behind the desk, and I found a desk style that I like.

I love this rounded desk with the book shelves.
I love this look for the corner. because our space is smaller, we would probably put two chairs with a table in addition to all the bookcases. I would want a library ladder for the look as well.

I love this deep-colored library with the rolling ladder, but I would only want the corner of bookcases.

I love the look the ladder creates here...
Cam is thinking a triple bookcase behind the desk, but all the pieces would be the same dark wood--a cherry or mahogany.

I am thinking we will probably have to have it all custom built, so we may check out the local amish furniture makers to see to estimate a price (ugh, reality sets in, paying for it all).

I would be so excited to finally start finishing the first floor. I think we have decided it is more important to finish the first floor than to finish our bedroom right now, and I don't like the front room of our house at all so that is the first to finish.

Dog Tired...

Ritz epitomizes what I feel like doing all day tomorrow instead of class and meetings and interviews. I cannot wait for the weekend to actually catch up on sleep (and my homework that I have gotten behind on...)

If only the BA problems would finish themselves tonight...
