Lauren's Christmas Drawing

Lauren is so creative!

We want to wish anyone reading this blog a wonderful holiday season. We are grateful for our Savior and his life. What humble circumstances he was born into and what a great example he was and is.

We love each and every one of you!

Winter Wonderland at Casa Washburn

There is a contest in our neighborhood. The best decorated house gets $100, next is $50 and third is $25. Do ya think we might win something? To think that we got most of the lights on sale last year. Bill did a great job!

What to do with Legos....

The kids got bored one Sunday while I was getting ready for church. What a nice thing for them to do!!!!

Lauren & Luke's Christmas Tree

Last year, after Christmas, we bought a tree that was on sale. We decided to get it to let the kids decorate it. They were getting tired of not being able to help decorate the tree. (Mommy likes to do a nice one in the Living Room). This year, they were able to do one on their own and look how nice it looks. They have a lot of mommy's old ornaments from when she was a child, others that have been collected along the way and their own (they get one from us every year). They also added some of last year's old candy canes. At the time, we did not have a tree topper. Since the picture, we have picked up a small star to place on top. It looks very nice. It has been fun having a tree in the family room this year.

Bootsie loves the Christmas Tree!

Bootsie has found a nice place to sleep. Right under the kid's Christmas Tree. He curled up under it one night and just slept. Not a care in the world.

Mingus Mountain and Our Trusty (Rusty) Trailer

Here is where we slept. It is the first time we have taken it out since we bought it from Sarah and Ed Ulrich. It actually was very handy and we are excited to take it out again. It needs a little bit of work but we are a small family so it works. The kids loved it and we didn't mind sleeping in it either. We had to be careful when all of us were in it, however. We need to get a couple of jacks for the back of the trailer. Otherwise, we all can't be on one end (the back side) or it will teeter. No problems! Bill slept on one side and the kids and I slept on the other.
