Summer Fun

We have really been trying to pack as much fun into this summer.  We are working a ton on getting the house ready for my farm school preschool so it seems like we really have to plan our fun.

Basically the first week of summer we signed Dane up for swimming lessons.  He did so well.  I am amazed at how fast he learns.  He can pull himself around the whole pool.  He jumps in like its no thing.  Loves going under water and even jumped off the diving board.  Eric was able to come to Dane's last class and he was pretty impressed.

Dane had his buddy Jackson in class with him.  All Dane wanted to do was show off for Harmony and Jackson.  Silly kid!

The bathroom is progressing.  I can't believe we have a tub and a floor!  This seems like a never ending project.

Kira, Luke and Tyler came out for the fair and scout camp.  It was so much fun sharing our place with them.  Dane loves having them around and was so sad when they left to go back to Texas.

Dane was really quite one day while we outside.  My mom was picking Boysenberries and Dane was just playing...or so I thought.  Turns out he was eating all the berries that she was picking.  Afterwards he promised that he would never steal again.  He was caught "red" handed.

Isn't our corn huge??

We took Dane to see his second movie at the theater.  It was Monster's University.  He loved it!!

This kid just can't get enough berries!

I had a little mini reunion with some of my best buds from my youth.  Some of these girls I have knows all their life...after all I am 2 months older :) I just love them and I am so ready for everyone to move back here already!!

We went to pick Tamara and Marissa up from the airport in Santa Barbara and thought while we were there we might as well head to the zoo.

And of course feed the giraffe.  They just had a baby giraffe there name DANE!

This is Danes first year entering in the fair and he made an adorable dinosaur.  He was totally into it!

More progress on the bathroom.  Little by little we are getting this done!

Bathroom Remodel

We have needed to remodel our bathroom for awhile now and with the worlds best landlords and the worlds best in laws we are making this a reality.  Keith and Cherie headed our way to help with the remodel.
Bill came over to help with the demo.  Dane made sure that Bill stayed on track.

They had to take it all the way down to the floor.

New sheet rock

Many trips to home depot and finally a floor

and a new window

and a fresh coat of paint

Our last night together.  We have the best moms!

The Bodily boys

Thanks again for coming out to help.  There is no way we could have done this without you.  Sorry it was all work and no fun but we love having you here!

We are starting to work on potty training.

Jacob was out for a few weeks visiting.  We took him to the splash pad.  Dane just loves Jacob.

These boys sure have fun!

Pictures from May

Life seems to be so busy these days.  I really need to do better with posting because this is how I am going to remember all my precious time with my family!

Sharla's gravestone is finally in place.  Dane and I went up to put a see it and put a rose on it.  Sharla is buried in the military section of the graveyard.  Dane didn't want to put the rose on the headstone, instead he put it on the flag.  He told me that Sharla would find it there.  I appreciate his sweet spirit and his sweet words that comfort me.

We met up with one of our dear friends from Van Nuys and the Santa Barbara zoo.  We had so much fun catching up with her and seeing how big her kids are.  Elliot and I share the same birthday so she and I are basically kindred spirits :)  Also she might be my future daughter in law.

I think this is love...What do you think?  Pretty sure Zac is ok with it.

Dane loved feeding the giraffes.  We were all amazed at how this tongue can wrap around lettuce almost like a hand.  Pretty impressive.

My Cousins (Jen, Gianna and Susan) came out for a visit.  We met up with them at Farmers market for some yummy Mclintocks.  It is so much fun to see Gianna and Dane together.  They have alot of fun.

And they love eachother.

We met up with some friends at our new favorite place the crab beach.  The kids went crazy over all the crabs.  It was fun to watch them all scramble.  It was even more fun to see Chloe freaking out.

We have been working really hard in our backyard.  Dane and Eric built this raised bed.  I am going to have to post some pics of what the raised bed looks like now.  It is awesome.  They did such a great job putting it together.  It is wonderful having an engineer for a husband!

We had so much fun watching a car show parade.  Dane loved it when they came racing by.  He also enjoyed when they would honk their horn...They best of all was when they would throw candy out at him.

Just another day in paradise hanging out with friends.  We are pretty spoiled here.

Dane and Eric sure spoiled me this year for mothers day.  I had the royal treatment all day.

But all I really wanted was a kiss from my special boy!

We took a field trip to the Cal Poly dairy.  Dane is the calf whisperer.

Look what we woke up to find on our front doorstep.  It was a special delivery from Uncle.  Yes this boy is spoiled big time!!

We had a play date at our friends house.  The kids were very quite in the back.  When they finally came out Dane and Gunnar had mascara all over them.  Chloe had a little fun playing beauty shop and these two were willing participants.

Dane and Eric had their first father son camp out.  Papa went along too.  They had alot of fun.  It was my first night away from Dane.  At about 5am Dane turned to Eric and told him he was ready to go home.  Eric and Papa were ready to head home too.

There is nothing better than a water balloon bath.

Dane has a new race car bed.  He loves it.  I showed it to Eric and he agreed that we had to get it for him.

Our corn is coming up nicely.  I planted butter nut squash at the end of the rows.

We met Bryan in Frenso and headed to the zoo.  He took us on a tour of were he works and loaded us up blueberries.  We really liked where Bryan was staying.  There was a pool.  Sadly Dane was attacked by fire ants.  I was amazed at how fast Dane got over it.  I was stung by one ant and it really hurt.  He was stung by at least 30.  We jumped right into the pool to get rid of them.

Here is Dane on his last day of Parent participation class.  What a cutie!

Having fun with Family

We were very busy while Tamara and Marissa were visiting.  One thing we really needed to do was plant the garden.  The kids were a bigger help then I thought they would be.  Marissa wanted to get dirty...Dane couldn't help but be dirty.

Marissa loved collecting the eggs everyday. Here she is holding on to 5 eggs!

We had so much fun at the beach.  I got this idea off of pinterest for bringing a shower curtain to the beach.  It was awesome.  The kids loved having their own pool right there in the sand.

Cousin tackle!

It was a windy day at the beach but my parents and the kids took shelter in the tent.  It is so much fun to live where we live.  Dane just loves going to the beach.  Why is it that I only ever come here with company.  We should really go at least once a week!

We decided to head down to the zoo to check out the animals.  Dane and Marissa loved bunny town.  I think there favorite animal was the tiger.  A close second was the gofer that was popping its head out at the pig exhibit.

My Dad was a real sport.  Next time we take the stroller I am going to check the tires to make sure there is air in them.  Lets just say that this wasn't a light load.

Here is my beautiful twin sister!

After the zoo we headed over the Sylvester's for hamburgers.  Eric met us on his lunch break.  We were also celebrating Bryan and Lara's birthdays (minus them sadly).

We have been working on getting the house put together for me to start my farm school pre school this fall.  Eric and Dane were hard at work putting up the fence.

Then we took a break and rented a surryes so we could act like tourists in Morro Bay.  It has hard convincing my parents to do it but in the end they loved it!

...and so did the kids!

I bought a bunch of silly string after new years this last January.  I had about 12 bottles of it so we decided to have a fight.

Exhausted after so much fun!
We love having friends and family visit.  We promise we will show you a good time if you come see us.
