it seems like i'm posting once every year.. well... enough of these promises that i'm going to update more regularly, and i think i'll just do what i can..
it has been a day of conversations.. in the morning it was conversations with my colleagues about school and work, and i realised how much i've changed over the past few years.. the timid person has now been taken over, but i don't know if the change was caused by what i feel about the workplace or whether i am really more vocal these days..
in the evening it was a good one hour plus about whether all men were created equal.. as much i would hope that everyone is.. sadly, science does not agree. however, i really hope that the piece of paper my kid has in the future will be bigger and better than mine..
i've been thinking a lot about my childhood recently.. about why i like to play sports so much and why i want to win so badly each time.. when i was in p5, there was an inter-class thing in school and i wasn't picked for soccer (despite pretty decent at it but i wasn't the most popular kid around) so i signed up for basketball.. needless to say.. my team was badly trashed and i was blamed for that defeat... it was the first time i cried because of sports that day and it felt like crap. from then, i decided that i would not lose again so that was the start of my sports life..
ended the day by having a conversation with Sam and it was good to know that you have moved on. i hope you are happier now.
'tis the season to be jolly.. i'll try =]

Memoirs.
This idea just struck me when I was in the shower one day.. that i should start making a note of the past 28 years. It might probably be something my children will be able to keep one day, and maybe (hurhur) it might be published into a book. Maybe, my students could use this as reference material on "How Not To Screw Up Your Life".
In this season of recollection, here goes..

I saved two today!
NAPFA season is here and after the first round of testing, the retest season is here! So yeah, it was the 2.4 retest today and I'm proud to say that I saved two today!
If you have no inkling of how people can be saved for retests, imagine a motivational speaker who is running his 2.4 beside you.
"you can do it! 300 metres left... it's all in the mind now! 200! let's speed up a little... the finish point is getting nearer! 100! 100! let's go! let's go! sprint sprint sprint!!!"
so yeah. i saved two today.
i guess i needed the run today as well, at least i know with a bulging tummy and aching legs, i can still run a 14 minute 2.4 comfortably. hmm... time for more runs then!
in other news, i'm going back to NIE for my part time masters! woohoo!
ok... this time... really going to 做到死!

When Teachers Are Stressed...
they do stupid things.
Alright, not really stupid, but more like silly.
After another infuriating and tiring day at work, obviously we weren't too sane leaving school at 730pm. Ended up driving around aimlessly while talking about stuff that happened in school and how we felt about stuff. It was therapeutic, and we ended up in Bugis without knowing it.
Since we were there, we decided to have dinner at Bugis. While standing in the middle of the restaurants and food outlets at level 2, we were stumped about what to eat. Until..
"MEEEEEAT!"
We just had this urge to have meat and where else better than here?

An hour later, with tummies bulging, we were satisfied. What a way to end the day and it definitely cheered us up a bit!
"MEEEEEEEEEEAAAAT!"

Dusting Off The Cobwebs.
Well, I am back. Permanently I hope.
Kinda inspired to blog again after reading a really interesting blog online, and I think no matter what, this space here is still a better one than Facebook Notes, so yeah.
Just a short one to signal my return.
Adieu!
