Summer Fun

The Summer of Twenty Ten was a great one!

Memorial weekend we decided to go to St. George. Brandon and I were so sick of the cold that we decided last minute to head down south where it would be a little warmer. It was a quick trip, but fun. We went to Brandon's aunts pool, played at the park and went on a little hike. Reagan thought it was pretty cool riding on daddy

Reagan's hair was done really cute. But apparently elastics and sunscreen don't mix well

Reagan checkin out the water

My Birthday. Brandon invited our good friends over and made ribs and dutch oven potatoes. It was delish! I was a little sad to realize I was turning 26! I really thought I was just turning 25. Man time is flying by!!

Reagan playing in...well with her sandbox. Reagan is quite the little princess and doesn't really like to get dirty. Anytime she gets sand on herself she immediately brushed it of and said "messy..messy" We tried to put her in it a few times and she freaked out. She did love to play with it though..and by the end of summer she didn't care about getting "messy" anymore.

Playing at the park

We spent a lot of time at the parks near our house. I would often take her running and let her stop and play. She always had a blast!!

Annual Demolition Derby!!

Nothing better...Super annoyed that we missed the Spanish Fork one but tickets sold out fast and it was the weekend before I had Rylee, so I would have been super uncomfortable.

On Grandpa's boat

Reagan's favorite thing to do this summer was "peaks." She loved going to 7-peaks. Almost every morning she would ask to go to "peaks" Her favorite was the "purple slide." She also liked playing in the kiddie pool.

Playing in her pool at home

More "peaks"

Reagan would clap and get so happy everytime we pulled up. It was honestly the best money I have spent. It is so much fun to watch your kid have a blast!

4th of July we did a barbeque at our house and fireworks. Reagan loved the fireworks or "boom booms"

Rieske Family Campout

We went to my family campout in August. Reagan had a lot of fun. She did so well camping. She slept great and didn't get too dirty! Grandpa taught Reagan to put rocks in her pants.

Reagan absolutely loves her Grandpa!!

Reagan riding the turtle while Scarlett pushed her around

That was quite the fast and furious summer post!

Easter

Holidays are so much funner with little kids. The Easter bunny totally spoiled Reagan this year!

Reagan with her Easter basket(s)
Following the eggs to find her basket. She thought it was so fun to "find" each egg.

Coloring eggs with daddy

Brandon's Birthday

This year I didn't do much for Brandon's Birthday since we had just gotten back from Boston the day before. I did make him some cupcakes. They were not very pretty but at least they were good!

Reagan digging in

Ugh how is time going by so fast. I can't believe my hubby is already 27!!
I let Reagan chosse the cupcake wrappers. She chose the Spiderman ones.

NYC and Boston Baby

Wow! Its been a long time since I have blogged. I have some major catching up to do. In April Brandon and I went to NYC and Boston. We had a blast. Brandon qualified to run the Boston Marathon and it was cheaper to fly into NYC than Boston, and I have always wanted to go to NYC so we decided to go there too. Brandon did great at the Marathon. It was fun to be at the finish line, but I was a little jealous that I wasn't able to run it with him...Maybe someday.

NYC was a lot of fun. We did the "touristy" things while there. We did the double decker bus tours, which I totallly recommend. It was a great way to see a good part of NYC in just a couple days. I can't wait to go back someday!

Brandon at the finish of the Boston Marathon

In Boston we got tickets to the Red Sox game. It was awesome to see Fenway park

B-town at the expo

In MA they have apparently have mile markers every .20 miles. We had to take a pic of this one!

Broadway!!

We went to Wicked and it was AWESOME!! We both loved it!

Night tour of NYC

It was freezing!!!

Had to stop and get a pic of this

Time Square

One of my favorite things we did while in NYC is run in Central Park. This has always been a dream of mine. I loved it!! It was so pretty. Its so cool to see all these HUGE buildings around you and be in a totally serene park.

Adding to the Family

Our little family of three is soon to become four! Reagan announced to our family a few weeks ago that she was going to be a BIG sister!!

My EDD is 09/10/11. Which would be a cool birthday but I'm planning on having him/her earlier than that! This pregnancy so far has been a lot worse than with Reagan but I'm starting to feel quite a bit better now. Weeks 8-14 were pretty horrible. I had pretty bad morning (All Day) sickness. If I didn't take my Zofran every 4 hrs I was hugging the toilet. I'm know down to just throwing up 1-2 times per week and don't have to take Zofran near as often anymore. I'm also starting to get some of my energy back too. Now I'm in the Fat stage. It is so weird to watch your body change and get a belly overnight. With Reagan I didn't really feel any movement till like 22-23 weeks. I started feeling this one around 16-17, which I love!

Brandon and I are getting ready for a sweet little vacation to NYC and Boston!! We are both super excited to go. Brandon is running the Boston marathon and we decided to make a little detour to NYC for a few days too, since it was so much cheaper to fly into.

We are leaving Reagan with her Grandparents. I am super nervous to leave her for so long! The longest I have been away from her is like 12hrs!! I'm scared that she is going to forget who I am when we get back!! Though I know she is going to have a blast. She absolutely loves her Grandparents and Aunts!

Growing Up

My sweet little angel is growing up way too fast. I honestly can't believe how BIG she is getting. She will be 17 months next week, which is just crazy to me. Since I am such a horrible mother and never write anything down and forget everything. I figured I would update on here so I can remember what she is up to right now.

Reagan is such a girly girl. She loves her "pretties" which are her hair stuff or bracelets. She is always trying to put them in her hair, and she is really good about leaving them in when I do her hair. Anytime she sees one of her skirts or dresses she wants to wear it. She is also obsessed with shoes. It doesn't matter who's shoes they are if she sees shoes laying around she will try putting them on. She will often bring me shoes, even if she is wearing her pajamas and insist I help her put them on.

She also loves to color. She knows where I keep her crayons/paper and she will go to the cupboard and want me to get them out for her. She is so far loving Nursery. Brandon and I are teachers and so she has been going in with us for the past few months. She loves to be around the other kids. Since we have 3 nurseries in our ward I'm debating on whether to send her to one of the other ones when she turns 18 months. I think it will be good for her to be away from mom and dad for a bit, but I have heard that a lot of the other kids get bullied in the other ones. We actually have a lot of the little kids in ours now, (due to them being bullied) so it makes me a little nervous to send her to one of the other ones. Poor little Reagan was sick with a nasty cold about 2 weeks ago. It was so sad. You can tell she didn't feel well, but she was still smiley. She really is such a good girl. She hardly ever cries or whines. And always has a smile on her face.
She is surely my daughter and loves the hot sauce!! Ok not really I don't let her eat the hot sauce but she does insist on having her own packet and pretends to put it on everything. If she sees me eating something with hot sauce on it (which is pretty much everything) she has to too. Its pretty funny.

She LOVES playing outside. Even though its been cold she ALWAYS wants to be outside. She will go get me her jacket and shoes and pound on the back door until I take her out. She loves to swing and climb on her playset. She can actually climb up the wooden ladder herself and go down the slide. Whenever I take her back in she throws a fit and cries. Its pretty funny! I cant wait till Spring and Summer when we can spend all day in the sun and at the pool.

She is starting to potty train herself, well at least with #2. A few weeks ago she was in the tub and I noticed her get her "poop face" so I picked her up and put her on the toilet. Since then she will sign "poop" and run to the potty and most of the time she will now poop in the potty which is nice.

She is quite the little talker now and copies and says a lot of words now.

Some of her favorites are: Dadda, Mamma, Pappa, Ball, Go, bye-bye, pretty, bear, baby, Uh-Oh, what's that, and where is it.

She knows sign language for: Milk, food, cheese, more, please, thank-you, dog, cat and poop.

I have loved that she knows a little bit of sign language. I actually wish I would have taught her more earlier. Its been so nice for her to be able to communicate and tell us wants she wants before she was really talking.

Ok so that's probably enough for now. Please forgive any spelling or grammatical errors. I am updating at work again on no sleep.

Better Late Than Never

Okay..okay so I know I am a total blog slacker. But since I don't journal or write anything down. I really need to start blogging again. So here it goes!! Since the new year just started...well like 3 weeks ago I figured I would do a recap of my favorite things that happened in 2010. This past year was a very good year for us. We have been extremely blessed.
To start it of: #10 Favorite thing
My Daddy got a job! 2009 was a hard year for my immediate family. My dad was layed of from Novell where he had worked for 18+ years. This was not only a financial trial for my family but a very emotional on as well. We were all so very happy when he was hired on at a good company in SLC. Although it is a VERY LONG commute for him, we and especially my mom are so thankful for his job.
#9 Favorite thing
Brandon's Birthday party. We had a kickass Chuck Norris birthday party for Brandon. We have such good friends and had an absolute blast!! Max even painted himself black for the event. It was freakin awesome. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard as I did that night.
The Boys
"Wrangler Butts drive us Nuts!"

Cutest Cowgirl Ever!

#8 Favorite Thing
Running. I still have a love/hate relationship with running. But it was nice to have a nice little running partner. Reagan and I would share many afternoons running. She absolutely loved it. She would kick her legs and "sing" almost the entire time.

The best running stroller ever! It's a Bob Ironman, it is expensive but if you are into running it is totally worth it. Reagan loves this stroller and has spent many hours in there. She even let me do a 16+ miler in it.

Such a chunk! So fun to have a "cheerleader" there for you at the finish line!!
CrackODawn running group
Such a fun group to run with. I just wish I was a little faster okay a lot faster so I could better keep up with them!
Brandon was such a sweatheart this year. My goal was to Boston Qualify which means I would have to run a 3hr 40min marathon at St. George. I trained quite hard and felt like it was a good possibility if I had a good race day. Brandon decided that he would stay back and run with me to help me qualify. It was so fun to run a race with him, usually he is way a head of me. I would love to say that I ended up qualifing but unfortunantely I didn't. I ended up getting sick at mile 19ish and it was all down hill from there. For the next few miles everytime I tried to run I would throw-up. Needless to say, I ended up walking a lot and finished right at 4hrs. 20min slower than I should have.
#7 Favorite thing
Change of jobs for me. I was able to get a part-time RN job at OCH ER and quit working all together at IMC. It was such a nice change. I really didn't like working at IMC especially after I had Reagan. I would cry almost everytime I drove up to the "deathstar." I was so blessed to get this job. It is something I really enjoy and since I work nights I get to be a Full-time Mom too. It's not always easy working all night and then waking up an hour or two later to be a mom, but I love that Reagan doesn't have to go to daycare and that I get to be the one to teach her and be with her all day.
#6 Favorite thing
Summer and being a "pool mom!" Reagan and I hit up the pool a ton during the summer. It was so much fun. We also spent a lot of time on the lake before Chandler left for his mission. Reagan loves the water and being outside. She had her first rides on the tube and had a blast. She didn't even mind her life-jacket or being in the cold lake.
We also went camping with the Rieske family. Reagan was an angel like always and loved going on hikes.
# 5 Favorite Thing
One brother getting home from his mission and another leaving. In August, Chandler left to Oklahoma to serve a LDS mission. Chandler and I are pretty close and it was and still is hard to have him gone. But I know that it is the right thing for him and he is already growing so much spiritually. On the other hand Nathan got home in November from his Mission in Australia. It was so fun for him to get to meet Reagan for the first time. It has been good to have him back home!

Reagan, Chander, and I at the MTC
Sorry pic is tiny. Its a copy of a copy or something and won't enlargen for some reason.
#4 Favorite Thing
Watching how wonderful Reagan's granparents are. All of them absolutelly adore her. It's kinda like we (Brandon and I) don't exsist anymore as long as Reagan is there, they are happy! My dad is so fun to watch with her. From the time she was born there has been a special place in his heart. He spends countless hours on the floor playing with her, and lets her get away with almost everything. It is so cute!! My mom loves her too. As well as Brandon's parents. Reagan loves playing with Grandma Borchert and often cries when Brandon takes her home after Sunday dinner.
#3 Favorite thing
Brandon graduated!!
Brandon graduated from BYU in Electrical Engineering in August. Brandon worked very hard at school and I am so incredibly proud of him. Electrical Engineering is a very hard program especially at the Y. He spent a ton of time studying and countless hours at the lab. It is so nice to have him home in the evenings and not be worrying about school work.
Not only did he graduate but he got a great job too! He was woking as an intern at L3 this Summer and was offered an Engineering position once he graduated.
#2 Favorite thing
We bought a house!! This was/is still exciting for us. We moved into our home in the middle of October. We now live in Saratoga Springs. We decided on the location cause I wanted to live in Utah County and Brandon wanted to be closer to work. So far we are loving our new home. It took a while for Reagan to adjust but now she loves it too. The best thing is that the backyard is completely fenced in and there is a playground too. It is going to be so nice this Spring/Summer!!
#1 Favorite Thing
The absolute best thing about 2010 was that it was Reagan's first year of life and watching my family grow together. I have loved being a mom! It is the best job ever!! There are some days that are hard and I just want to pull my hair out, but then Reagan will do something that will make me laugh and I totally forget about it. I have loved watching Brandon being the best father ever. He adores his "little princess." He is such a good daddy and Reagan loves him very much.
I am so very blessed!!

Okay Picture overload time! Here are some of my favorites of 2010. Can't believe how fast Reagan grew up and how beautiful she is. She is such a sweetheard and has been a very good baby!!
Love the tongue!!
