One week pic's

I love being a mom!! Reagan is such a good baby. I cant believe she is almost 4 weeks old, it has gone by sooo fast. At her 2 week appt she weighed 6lbs 12oz and was 19.5in long. I am guessing she is about 7-8lbs now. She is getting so big and is almost out of her newborn clothes. She is such a good baby, she hardly ever cries. She sleeps between 3-5hrs at a time. She is spoiled though and likes to be held and snuggled all day. Which is ok with me since I love snuggling her. She has Brandon wrapped around his fingers!! He is such a good Daddy and absolutely loves her. I cant believe how great he is with her. When he gets home from school he grabs her and plays with her all night. The only time he hands her back to me is when she is hungry. Not only does she have Brandon and I wrapped around her fingers but she has my parents too, especially my dad. My friend from work, Kim took her pics and did such an amazing job. I absolutely love them!!! Here is a few of my favorite ones. She is such a cutie!!!

Go Cougars!!!
My parents watched Reagan the last 2 Saturdays so Brandon and I could go to the football games. I'm so glad BYU beat the Utes!!! It was such a good game!!! It was nice to get out and spend some time with Brandon. The only bad thing was Brandon lost his phone while rushing the field.

My favorite!

Its a.....

Our precious little GIRL is here!!!
Reagan May Borchert was born Nov. 6th at 6:33. She weighed 6lbs and 7oz and is a shorty at 18in long. We are so glad she is here and already has her daddy wrapped around her little fingers!! I am loving being a mom, it is hard at times but I am in total love with her. She is perfect in every way.
Nov 5. I had my 37week Dr's appt. He checked me and I was still dilated to a 3 and 75% effaced. He told me well you could have your baby anytime, it could be today or we may have to still induce you on the 20th...just depends on your body. I was really hoping to go on my own and early I was starting to get really uncomfortable. I wasnt really able to sleep, had heartburn like crazy and was getting sick every night.
So a little later that afternoon I started having contractions. They were about 10 min apart so I just figured they were Braxton hicks. But as they day went on the were getting to be closer and harder. I started to get a little excited, but still didnt think I would be lucky enough to go this early. I went to the store and bought a few more last thing stuff for the baby as we still were not ready for her to come. That night Brandon's friend came over to watch the Jazz game. My contractions at this point were definently progressing, but I didnt want to freak Brandon out, so I tried to pretend like nothing was happening. At about 11pm his friend went home and I told Brandon, I think we might be having a baby soon! He didnt believe me, but did start timing my contractions which were about 6min apart at this time. I started to semi pack our bags, just in case. I got in bed about midnight and at 1215 got up to pee. As I was walking to the bathroom...Splash!! My water broke!! Yay now I knew I wouldn't get sent home and Baby was on her way. Brandon started freakin out at this point. I showered while Brandon got our stuff and we were on our way to the hospital.
They checked me when we got there and I was still only a 3!! What the?? I thought I would for sure be further dilated, at this point I asked for an epidural as my contractions were killing me and only about 3 min apart. I was soooo glad when I finally got it, even though I started throwing up immediately. I didnt care though! They checked me again and I was at a 5. They told us to try and get some rest and they would check again in 2 hrs. Brandon slept, I was tooo excited. When they checked again I was to a 8. So they came back and 1.5hrs later and I was a 10!! Time to start pushing!! The nurse went to tell the Dr. She came back and said he wanted to do a "wait and drop" where we just hang out for a hour and see if the baby would drop some on its own. So we waited. Finally at 5:50 it was time to start pushing. By about 6:05 her head was partially out..and the Dr still wasnt there. They told me to stop pushing. What? Ouch it hurt so bad. After about 20 min I finally told the nurses I can't do this anymore, I have to push. They got ready to deliver my baby. Right then the Dr. finally walked in. He threw a gown on. My next contraction I pushed and she was here!!!
So the pics all uploaded in the wrong order, but I don't care!

We have been busy

The last few weeks have been pretty busy for us. We went down to St. George and Brandon ran the St. George Marathon. He did great he ran in in 3hrs and 6min and qualified for the Boston Marathon. He was pretty excited about his time and is looking forward to going to Boston in 2yrs. Maybe? A ton of my family members also ran it and did great!! It was pretty hard for me to see all of my family and friends running it and me not being able to do it. I was pretty bummed about it the night before but it was fun to be at the finish line and cheer on all of the runners. I'm just hoping that next year I will be running it!!
Other big new is that we moved. Yeah finally out of the Love Shaq!! We didn't move far just into the house but it has been so nice to have some extra room. We actually have a room for the baby now and a dishwasher!!! It has been way nice and our house is actually clean now. Its amazing when you actually have room for your stuff how much easier it is to keep it all clean. We are starting to get ready for our new little addition to get here. We have about 5weeks left...hopefully 3!!! I can't believe how fast it is all going. We are getting super excited to meet him or her. We got the crib set up and its been fun to see Brandon in the baby's room just staring at the crib. He is going to be such a good daddy!! So far the pregnancy thing is going good. I have been really tired, but I'm sure a lot of it is working nights and just trying to do too much. I am starting to get really uncomfortable and can't sleep. I also get really bad heartburn and lately have been getting really nauseated and throwing up again. I think the baby is just out of room and is pushing on everything!! Im getting anxious to get my body back. Its amazing how much harder everything is when your this BIG!!
Brandon has been staying very busy with school. I cant wait till he is done! I started my new job at Orem ER and so far I'm loving it. It has been a great change and I actually like going to work again. I am still working 1 day a week at IMC but we will see how long that lasts!
Here is some pics of the last few weeks.

Baby's crib!
Since we dont know what it is we really haven't decortated the room yet. I didn't want to just do it neutral so we are waiting till it gets here.
If its a girl it will be brown and pink. If its a boy brown and blue.
We are using my old dresser and desk-which we will use as a diaper changing area. Its pretty girly. So if its a boy Brandon is going to have to do some sanding and painting. We also still need to buy a recliner.

Brandon coming down the chute at the Marathon. Still looking Good!!!

Brandon and the Crack O Dawners at the finish!! They are all Freakin' Fast!!!

At the finish. Glad to be Done!!!
More Marathon Pics

Still Running

On August 22, Brandon and I ran the Hobblecreek Half Marathon. I have been waiting to post this until I got the pics from my dad, but I keep forgetting (pregnancy brain). So I figured I might as well just post without the pics! Brandon did amazing and ran it in 1:25:24 which is 6:30min/mile average over the entire 13.1 miles!!! This was definintely my slowest half marathon ever, but hey I did it!! I ran it in 2:14:32 not too bad for being 26.5 weeks prego right? I have to say this was one of my favorite runs, I felt pretty good except for miles 2-3 and it was different not to be pushing really hard. I also got a lot of comments from the other runners. Most of them thought I was crazy!! I got called a "Hero" a bunch of times. I was pretty sore the next few days carrying this much extra weight definitely puts extra stress on your body!! I was glad to get it over and have been taking it a lot easier since then. Brandon on the other hand has been training like crazy for the St. George Marathon. It is the first week in Oct and will be here before we know it.
Other than running Brandon has been keeping busy with school. Yep he is back at Zoobie land, I cant wait till he is done!! I got a new job! I am going to be working part time in the ER at Orem Community Hospital and will stay part time at IMC. I am excited to start in the ER, I like the outpatient stuff so much better...Hopefully soon no more butt wiping for me...except for my own and our little baby's!!! We have less than 80 days till the little one gets here. We are both getting excited. But still have a lot to do before he/she gets here!!! I am getting HUGE!!!! Everyday I get bigger and bigger, I dont know how much bigger I can actually get. Lets just hope it all comes off once the baby gets here!!!!
Here is another belly pic. This is after Hobblecreek Half Marathon

Update and belly pics

So I have been a major slacker the last month in posting anything. I can't believe how fast the time is flying by, before we know it our little baby is going to be here. The last month has been pretty busy. Brandon went to scout camp for a week and a week later I went to girls camp. It was so weird to go to girls camp as a "leader," I sure didn't feel like one, I am not that much older than the girls. We are pretty new in our ward so I really didn't know too many of them, but it ended up being pretty fun. I even got a "sweet" nickname. It was La-a but pronounced (Ladasha) apparently the dash isn't silent...hahaha it is a long story!! I am glad I was able to go. When my ward found out I was pregnant I was told that I wouldn't be able to go to girls camp, but a week before we were going they changed their minds, since "I was young and a nurse" (like I was capable of delivering my own baby or something..haha) they were going to make an exception and let me go. In reality they were extremly short on leaders and really needed someone else to go.
This is the latest pregnancy pic. My belly is sure growing but it still suprises me how often I get asked, especially at work by patients "When is your baby due?" I'm not that big right? Brandon keeps telling me that I have to get a pouty face and say back "What baby?" So far I haven't done that yet, but it would be funny!!

21.5 weeks prego
June 28th was our 6 year anniversary!!! I can't believe we have been married for 6yrs already!! It has gone by sooo fast. I am totally in love with the boy. We have had a blast together and it is going to be so fun and different to be adding to our little family, but I guess its about time. For our anniversary we were going to do something or go somewhere fun, but we never got around to planning anything for some reason. But Brandon was such a sweetie and scheduled me an appointment at Nordstrom to get my make-up done and made me buy a whole bunch of Mac make-up for myself. (I always feels so guilty spending money on myself) I thought it was sooo sweet that he would do something like that. After we went to Tucanos and ate way too much. Here is some pics of the night.
Of course another belly shot. (about 18wks prego)

Me and my baby!!!

At our 20 week appt we had our Ultrasound!!! It was so fun to see baby Borchert!! We found out that its a.............haha wouldn't you like to know? Well we dont know what it is! I am proud of us, we kept to the plan and didn't find out the sex!! Luckily our baby was modest and actually had its legs crossed so we didn't see anything. The little thing is sure a mover!! It was kicking and stretching and opening its mouth. Brandon thinks it is definintely going to be a runner, my little sister thinks its a dancer. I think that it will probably be both!! It was sure reasuring to have an ultrasound done, for one I really haven't felt the baby a whole bunch yet and I was getting worried. Well we found out that my placenta is anterior so I probably wont feel much until about 28weeks. It was also good to see all of the organs and extremeties and find out that everything is growing the way it should be!!! We are both getting so excited, but a little nervous as well. Here is a few pics of our baby. They aren't very good cause our scanner is retarted. The first one is my fav!! The last one scanned upside down but its a leg, if you cant tell.

Growing Belly

Yay I think I am to the good part of my pregnancy! I don't get sick too much any more and overall am feeling great. I am still way more tired than normal so the running has definitely been slacking, but I am still trying. I went to my 16 week appt last week and everything is looking good so far. I am getting excited for our ultrasound in the next few weeks so we can see our little baby!! Luckily we have a doppler u/s at work so every once in a while I will check and make sure there is still a heart beat. I think I am definitely going to be a over-paranoid mommy.
My belly is sure expanding and fast! The last week or two its starting to really pop out and my clothes are getting really tight. I would love to make it 6 months before really having to wear maternity clothes; especially pants but I don't think I will make it.
Overall I am loving being pregnant and am starting to even like my growing belly!!!

Getting old

So yesterday was my B-day and I turned the big 24. I can't believe I am this old, it seems like I was just turning 16 and getting my license. I had a pretty good day but was sick, I have a sinus infection or something and being pregnant it is totally wearing me down. I was able to sleep in and woke up and found an outside recliner/layout chair in my front room from Brandon. I was excited! I love to layout and lately have just been laying on a blanket. It will be so nice to have a nice chair to lay on. Now if it would only be sunny. My mom and sisters took me out to lunch and then we went shopping. It really sucks shopping for clothes when you feel so fat! I wanted to be able to buy normal clothes, but they just aren't fitting right anymore. I am in that akward stage where nothing looks good. Regular clothes are too tight, especially in the chest area, but I dont fill out maternity clothes yet. Long story short I ended up with a maternity shirt, its cute I just wish I was able to wear normal clothes a little bit longer. For dinner Brandon made me the best fish taco/burrito's! They were sooo good!! We also had strawberry shortcake, which is one of my fav's. All in all it was a great day. I just wish I didn't feel so yucky, but it did get me out of working since I called in sick for the night.

Exciting News!!!!

We had a great Mothers Day this year. This is the basket that we gave both my mom and Brandon's. Inside was their Mothers Day gift plus a whole bunch of random items that somewhat all went together as well.

Here is a close up of what was in the basket. Can you guess what it all means?

Yep you got it. I am going to be a mom too!!!!
It was fun to see our families open up the basket and when they finally got it they were super excited. We handed them a card once they guessed that said:
Hey diddle diddle!
Someone new! Someone little!
We are thrilled to announce
Baby Borchert
is due to arrive Novemeber, 2009
Girl or Boy?
Either one will bring us joy!
Excited parents to be
Brandon and Felicia
We found out I was prego at about 6 weeks. We wanted to wait to tell everyone till about 12 weeks. It was sooo hard to keep it secret. I have been so sick and tired, that I was sure someone would figure it out. Plus I am definitely getting a baby bump!! Well actually not so much a baby bump but I am starting to look chunky, I am in the awkward stage where it just looks like I have eaten way toooo many Twinkies and donuts!
This pic is of the baby bump starting to poke out. I was about 11.5 weeks prego at the time.
Last week we went to our 12 week appt. It was fun to be able to hear our little peanuts heartbeat. It was 178 and strong, even though the little thing kept moving all over the place.
Brandon thinks its a boy and I think it is a girl. We are actually going to try and wait till the birth to see what it actually is. It is going be hard not to find out the sex, since all I want to do is buy stuff!!! But I have always said I didn't want to find out, so we are going to try and wait.

St George- Part 2

In St. George we went Mtn. Biking. We rode on Bear Claw Poppy which is in Bluffdale and on Sunday went into Hurricane to ride GooseBerry Messa, which is slick rock and alot like the trails in Moab.

These are the awesome view of Zions National Park. On top of the Mesa on the Gooseberry trail.

Me after I took a spill down, "Clavicle hill"

Viva Las Vegas

So we finally made it on a vacation!! Brandon finished with finals on Wednesday so we decided that night to head down to Vegas and St. George for the weekend. It was a short trip, but it was sooo nice to actually get a way for a while. We only stayed one night in Vegas. We stayed at the MGM Grand and saw the show Ka, by Cirque du Soleil. It was so freakin amazing!!! The tickets were pricey but it was so worth it. Both Brandon and I absolutely loved it!!! We cant wait until we can go see another show by Cirque du Soleil. They are actually doing a traveling show here in Utah in August, that I am hoping we can get tickets to.

This was driving through N. Las Vegas. There was a whole bunch of hobos's. They were everywhere! It was sad to see them with the tents and blankets all lined up against the fence.

One of the many pools at the MGM Grand

Me chillin at the pool!

We went to the Buffet there, It was all you can eat Prime Rib and Crab legs. Brandon was in heaven. I of course was all over the desserts that they had. YUM YUM!!

I tried posting a link to Ka, but I'm not sure it will work. If you want to see the Promo for it go to Youtube and search Ka by Cirque du Soleil. It is worth it!
