October 2011: Pumpkin patch, Fall festival, Halloween

(Quick note: You are going to have to bear with me while I catch up. I will try to do one month at a time, till I get current).

Jeremy and the kids at the Pumpkin Patch--getting ready to have some fun!

Case liked the tire swing.

I just think this is one of the sweetest pictures of love!

Case LOVED driving the tractor--he is my boy who likes all things locomotive.

We could barely get Case off the tractor that day.

This was before the hay ride. Can you guess what I was saying?
(Hint: Macy is helping Case look at the camera.)

Macy and Jarett feeding the goat.

Macy riding the horse. She said to me just a couple of days ago that she would like to take riding lessons.

My handsome Jarett riding the horse, too.

I did not purchase Case a ticket to ride the horse, but realized quickly, that he wanted to be a part of the fun, as well.

Case looks so happy on the horse!

Feeding the goats was fun, too!

My sweet blondie

I love the look of concentration on their faces as they feed the goat.

Macy and Jarett climbed a tree--they are sitting on a branch together. I think they were pretending to be Mogali (sp???).

Later in the evening, our Bible class had a halloween party--the kids dressed up for it. Nothing like a football player driving a pink and purple car!

Jeremy got hold of the Rapunzle wig.

We started Halloween by trick-or-treating at Gran's house. Our friend, Amy, came along.

There is no happiness in these faces, after getting candy from Gran!

We always take a picture by the front door prior to trick-or-treating.

Macy next to the pumpkin that she designed.

Jarett next to the pumpkin that he designed.

Case in the wagon, ready to get started.

Blogger slice is broken

Just to let you know that I am breaking my silence. My computer crashed in Dec, and all I had was my work computer. This past weekend, I got a new "home" computer and LOVE it--so happy to have a Mac again!

I did not want to put all my personal photos on my work computer and bog it down. So, you might be saying, "work computer???" Yes, I have opened my own private nutrition consulting practice in Oklahoma City. If you are interested in checking it out, you can visit my website at:
http://boswellnutrition.com

I do not plan to plug my business on my personal blog, so that is about all you are going to get here. I am excited to start working again--hope to have a slow start and build up my practice as Case gets older and in school more days.

Macy's Birthday and October 2011

Macy and Jarett enjoyed another fall soccer season with their dad as their coach. Macy really improved a lot this season and scored several goals and became more aggressive.

Jarett Had another fall soccer season of playing hard. Jarett does not know how to play 50 or 75%. He gets out there and plays 100% every moment of the game. His team only lost one game this season, and Jarett scored at least one goal in every game. Jarett has a true competetive spirit--wonder who he get's that from?

Here are the Tigers.

And, here are the Wildcats.

Macy wanted a "Pinky Pie" cookie cake this year, so I used the "My Little Pony" that she got from Nana and Grandpa to make her cake. I love iced sugar cookies, and Macy liked how it looked.

Here is Macy on the evening of her birthday--I like to start the day out with celebration--we had cinnamon rolls with candles! We also came to school for lunch and brought Chick-fil-A. I can't believe my baby girl is 7 years old!!! She is such a good daughter, sister, friend, and student. Macy has a kind and servant heart. She loves to learn and says that her favorite subject at school is math. The teacher compliments her on always being obedient in the classroom, even when others around her are not making the right choice. I am proud of all the scripture she is learning and memorizing at church. I am so blessed to have Macy for a daughter.

Macy got Legos from Gran and Grandad.

Macy wanted an art party for her birthday. Gran taught Macy and her friends how to draw and paint a horse. They all had fun. Gran worked really hard to make it special. I did not get many pictures at the party because I was busy helping get additional paint or water to her and her friends.

Here is Case playing "dut-tee, dut-tee" with Jarett. He likes to sit on his siblings and bounce on them while saying, "dut-tee.." They are so sweet, to enjoy playing this game with him.

We went out for dinner at Texas Roadhouse to help raise money for Macy's school one Tuesday evening in Oct. There was a clown there for family night who painted Macy's face like a cat.

Jarett asked her to paint his face like a robot.

Case did not get his face painted, but got a fun balloon.

Macy has started reading so well over the past month. She is reading chapter books, and really impresses me on the long words that she is able to read without asking for help. She even entertains her brothers by reading to them.

Over fall break we took a trip to the Myriad Gardens new park. It was so nice. The kids loved the kids section. Jarett prayed that we can go back sometime when it is hot and we have swimsuits and they can play in the fountain that sprays water.

Case like to climb the stairs.

My handsome brown-eyed boy

Macy spinning on toy

It is so nice how much my children love each other and enjoy playing with each other. At this stage in their lives, they rarely fight.

There was a man-made hill that all the kids liked to climb up and you could "slide" down it.

One of Case's favorite sayings, "watch, mommy, watch."

Halloween and the Pumpkin Patch will be the next post, followed by Case's 2 yr birthday.

September 2011

Jarett really wanted to have a water balloon birthday party, so I went to work and filled 400 water balloons. The kids had a ton of fun, and next year, Jarett wants to have 600 water balloons at his birthday! Here are his friends lined up listening to instructions. We played 3-4 games and then had a giant fight before we ate and did the pinata. I know Jarett and his family had lots of fun at his party this year. I can't believe he is 5 years old!!! We celebrated his birthday 1 1/2 weeks before his real birthday.

Grandad made Case a special balloon.

Ready, aim, fire!

Getting ready for another game.

We played a game where you had to run the balloon across the yard, put it down and sit on it to make it break--this was a lot of fun!

We played, "try to throw the water balloon on dad's or grandad's face." This was fun, but none of the kids succeeded in getting one to break!

Here is the platter of cake pops I made--Jarett has wanted cake pops for his birthday, since Macy had her birthday last year! I figured he would change his mind, but he didn't!

A mouthful of "Yum!"

Case and our neighbor, "Parker" like the cake pops. Case found someone else's pop and finished, so he got a little extra.

Trying to get the pinata to break--Jarett really wanted one at his birthday party.

Jarett decided to wear his pinata.

I made homemade cinnamon rolls, and Jarett got to celebrate turning 5 for breakfast! Isn't my son precious! He is so much fun, and has really amazed me on how good he is at figuring things out for himself.

Here are the kids opening their combined present.

Here the kids are with their big present from mom and dad--fish. They picked out the cave and the fish, and we wrapped the tank and everything else. They named their fish, "Mickey" and "Rosy." Rosy is the red one and was Macy's fish, and Mickey had a Mickey mouse face on his tail. Unfortunately we killed the fish, when we tried to clean the tank, so they were our pets for 1 month, and now are buried in the back yard. We plan to get 2 new fish on Sunday, since Jeremy and I are the ones who goofed. The kids are okay about it now, but we had a lot of tears this past Sunday, when we watched them die--so tragic.

I love that boy's genuine smile! All the kids got to open presents when Nana and Grandpa visited.

Jarett liked his remote control car.

Macy got a Rapunzel outfit and wig for her birthday--you will see her in the outfit again for Halloween.

While we were in NYC, the kids went to POPs with the Grandparents, and some nice people let Case sit on their See-See-dah. He now calls it a, "motorcycle," though.
