Spartan race 2013
WOW... what an amazing day we had, nothing like heading into an 13 mile + run with 25+ obstacles to do, and having no idea what you are in for. You see we signed up for the relay portion and last minute it was cancelled and they said go as far as you can.. OK.... but really once you started you finished all 13 miles pretty much. We started the run straight up hill, we ran Thur mud holes up to your knees, ran under poles, jumped 6ft walls them feel over, there was even a 7ft wall, we climbed up and over a bridge, we carried sand bags up a hill, we carried a bucket of gravel up a hill, we pulled a cement block which i swear was a 100lbs.we had a little to much energy drink and gum and one point to bad it only lasted about a few minutes. we climbed what seemed like an eternity up the side of the mountain which I swear did me in. But the funniest part was we came upon 4 mud pits that soaked us and was actually kinda fun we had to climb out of the holes into the others and it was so slippery it was really fun, to bad it only lasted a few minutes them back to the hard stuff. It was a very hard race/run we mostly walked because those obstacles were kicking our butts and we were to tired. We finally came up to the finish line and we thought holy cow we did it.....wait... wait... we now had to roll Thru the mud and rocks down hill probably 150 yards or so, them we had to climb over a wall, jump over the fire and get hit my some javelin's, them cross the finish line. You know it was the hardest race I have even done but I had such a good feeling of accomplishment when I finished, well actually once I got home and took a shower, I had mud in places that shouldn't be, but that was OK. I woke up the next day feeling like I had been ran over and over and over, I have bruises on my hips, my legs my ribs, by all mean if you look at my legs and elbows I look like I really did the race ha ha, would I do it again YES!!! next year for sure. I have a felt such a great accomplishment about myself and my ability's I think I have never been in better shape than I am at this point in my life. I wouldn't change it for a thing. I was glad to be able to do it with my sister and brother in law, and glad I have such good support from my family and friends, Chris has been there every time to cheer me on I know he doesn't like sitting in the sun but I love having him there when I cross the finish line, I may look like I may die but he always tells me how good I did and he's proud of me and that's exactly what I need to hear after a race. Next run is in September who's with me? its only a 10k then I am done for a while.

hear us roar 5k
I ran another 5k on May 4th, yupp you know your jealous and want that shirt. You can have it I will never were that shirt, you can see me coming from a mile a way. :) by the way I wrote on little red check below this blog.
Little Red
My friend Lani asked if I wanted to ride in little red with her this year 100 miles, it was a lottery so it wasn't a for sure deal but I wanted to, Chris had actually bought me a rode bike for Christmas so I really wanted to. Our group was picked I was so excited to get in. I'd admit I rode allot but NOTHING like I should of, oh well!! I was excited to go, it was in Lewingston which is close to Idaho we spent the night in Logan, got up and went to the run its not a race just a charity event all in fun. We met at the starting line with our group it was 36 degrees at 7am, it was so stinking cold! I was so gun ho to ride and off we went at 8am, first stop mile 12 I'm thinking this isn't so bad, mile 22 not bad I can totally to this, next stop 42 miles (each stop we could use the bathroom fill up our water and snacks) mile 42 was FOREVER I was struggling bad, between 30-42mile my legs were killing me, my upper legs too, but the rest of my body was perfect, I seriously started to pray asking for strength to make it, I have never felt like this, we were in the middle of no were. Finally 42 mile came time for a break, I was dying but didn't want anyone to know, they asked me how I was doing and I faked my way thru of not crying and said I was doing great. UGG I text Chris at 42 miles and told him I hated myself lol he reassured me I was doing just fine and to be strong I could do this, thank goodness the next stop was mile 52 and it was lunch I was hoping that would help me make it. By mile 52 I pretty much had decided I was going to mile 70 which was on the same trail as the 100 miles you just made a turn sooner, except I had to tell Lani I wasn't going to make 100, I told her at lunch she was cool about it thank goodness I think if I had to hear it from her I would of cried. from mile 52-70 was mostly up hill and then a straight hill down then pretty much straight after that, I felt great my legs and knees didn't hurt, I felt like I did up to mile 30 probably, at the point I was debating on sticking to 100 miles but I could tell my body was done. I finished at 70 and decided that was a huge accomplishment and no need to feel bad. Chris was at the finish line cheering me on, he was so proud of me and kept telling me how proud he was of me. I felt pretty dang good about myself finishing. would I do it again...... yes I woke up the next day wishing I would of made the extra 30 but I'm OK with 70 its a Long way's.
