Busy Weekend

Well we have had a busy weekend. Chris worked Saturday morning but after lunch we went to Toys R' us to find some Madison security fencing. Well the fencing idea didn't work, the openning is to large and we don't want to destroy the walls in our rental. So we just put up a small gate in another problem area. Little did we know that we should have bought those little locks to keep little hands out of cabinets because Madison decided to get under the kitchen sink and eat dishwasher detergent caplets. She is fine, we just had to clean her up and clean up the mess she made when she squirted it everywhere. We went on with our night, ate dinner and Chris mowed the yard. Madison just stood at the back door and watched Chris mow and edge, she had a blast. We then had our weekend bath for church and I was able to take some cute pictures of her, swimming and playing peek'a'boo with the washcloth.

Then today we visited a new church that I think we will try again. It was closer to what we are looking for and the Sunday School class actually had people our age and not our parents'. It was funny on the child slip you fill out for the nursery they ask if you have a home church, I put yes and put our church from Alabama. Well then we had about 10-15 people come find us in the worship center to ask if we were from Birmingham. Chris looked and me and asked how do all these people know we are from Birmingham, is this the Baptist CIA, I laughed and said that I had filled out the slip for Madison. Anyways it was funny, weird but truly nice to be so overly welcomed to a church. I think it helped that we seemed to be the only guests in the whole place. They are in search for a new pastor but the Associate Pastor came up and talked to us and we went to his Sunday School class with his wife. Madison was a hit we had people coming up to us after church on our way out saying that had stopped by to see her in her class and that they loved her dance moves. I guess we will probably get a visit this week since they really seem to be on the welcoming trend, which is nice since we didn't feel welcome at the first church we tried for several months.

Love and prayers to all.

Spring has sprung.

Spring has spring in sunny Gainesville, Florida and since Madison was sick on Easter we decided to take some pictures in our yard in our Sunday best this morning. We visited a new church this week, it wasn't the one for us though so we will just keep looking. We know God has the right one out there for us somewhere in Gainesville. Madison loves the orange flowers in our front yard, I am not sure exactly what they are but seems to be some type of iris or lily. She is definitely adventurous these days with a growing desire to be more independent, but what a blessing she is to our lives.

my little sis

I have a little sister and her name is Rebekah, AKA Bek, Bekah, or if you know her really well Ram Bek. She is an awesome little sis and she has a great boyfriend named Justin. We think he is a keeper. Above is the special desktop image that I created for her.
So if your reading this Bek, I love you, hope you enjoy the desktop.

Finally feeling better.

After almost two weeks with a runny nose and cough Madison seems to be back to her happy self. We are getting back into our normal routine, Chris is busy at work as usual and Madison and I try to stay out of trouble here around the house and in the neighborhood.

Even sick little girls get to have Easter baskets

Madison has been under the weather since last Wednesday, we took her to the doctor's office and we were told she just has a run of the mill cold. So we have been treating her low grade temperature, runny nose and cough with infant Tylenol and good old fashioned "TLC". She even got to eat some strawberry-banana Jello jigglers to try and sooth her throat. She still finds time to run around and play in between rest periods. Our weather has been up and down and we seem to have entered the rainy season. This seems to have stirred up her allergies which she seems to have gotten from both her Mom and Dad. Hopefully we can muster up enough energy to cooperate at the vet while Aggie gets his staples out from surgery this afternoon.
