Burr!

The weather in Gainesville finally took a cooler turn last night which is nice. So we have said goodbye to the 80's and and hello to the 40's, 50's, and 60's. Madison however doesn’t quite care for change in temperature. This morning while trying to get into the car to go to the gym she refused to put on her jacket, then when she realized it was cold she started crying and saying "mommy cold" but still didn’t want the jacket. Ah fun times and not even two yet. So for those of you who have been freezing for weeks, we finally got our share.

sending you some Christmas cheer

Well for those of you who feel the chill in the air it must be nice. I am about sick of the 80's. Its hard to put your child in Christmas clothes if you know that they will make her sweat, but we had a moderate morning today so I took advantage of the photo opportunity. Chris is busy at work with a plant outage, with the stories He has to tell it is amazing that some construction projects ever get completed, but that is a whole other story. We are eagerly awaiting our holiday travel time despite the dread that comes along with an 18 hour car ride with an almost 2 year old. I can't wait to watch Madison open her presents, her comments will crack you up. Madison went to her first birthday party yesterday, well beside her own. Jackson, aka Jack Jack, her little friend from church just turned 3, even though he got boy stuff Madison still said wow, cool or awesome with every gift. What a fun age this is, not that the others haven't been fun but she is just a little girl these days, she just isn't a baby anymore, and well that kind of makes me sad. As a friend emailed earlier this week we are awaiting your Christmas cards as our window into your world these day, and ours is almost on its way. How blessed we truly are, Merry Christmas.

garage sale find

OK so I admit it, I have never really been a fan of buying things at garage sales. I can sell stuff, but I just never had the desire to buy other peoples stuff. But today as I was driving out of our neighborhood this little bike caught my eye. I actually had to do a u-turn to go back and see how much they wanted. It is practically brand new and it looks even better after I cleaned it a good detail wash to get off a little dirt. It has a cool adult handle, the ability to lock the handle bars straight, it folds for easy storage and it even has a little trunk for Madison to put stuff in. So now Madison can have a little bike to cruise on around our house, outside of course. I would say that ten bucks is a steal.
