Well we headed to South Carolina on Christmas Eve. We used my new Garmin to shave off a little bit of the drive time on the way up. Christmas Eve we had a fabulous meal prepared by Mama June and helpers, it was great as always with all the family favorites. One of those were you wish you wore your fat pants. Madison had a great time opening presents from all the Great Aunts, Great Uncles and cousins as well as family friends. She had a blast playing with each item in between packages. She was also so excited to be with her cousin "Baby Andrew".
Poor fellow I think she was in shock at first.
Baby doll she had since name "Meme" not sure where she came up with that one.
Little Einstein's games.
Both "Dolly" and "Meme" together.
Sleeping Beauty movie.
Dress up both Tinkerbell, Disney Princesses and Gigi (God's Little Princess).
some books and puzzle books.
I think this bank/ATM machine was her favorite gift. We have since had to hide it because she keeps trying to eat the money. Silly girl.
Madison with Grammy and Grandpa Bowers.
All of us with Mama June and Papa Quattlebaum.
Well tomorrow we will be leaving early and maybe not so bright for South Carolina. We pray that all of you will have a safe and very Merry Christmas. We thank God for sending His Son as a little baby to come and give us a way to be in Heaven with Him for all eternity. Pray you all have a fun time with family and friends.
Happy Birthday King Jesus!
Love and prayers,
Kim, Chris and Madison

Today Madison and I got to meet baby Andrew Evan Bowers. Our cousin/nephew he is absolutely precious and we are so happy that his adoption will be finalized this coming Friday I know it will be a relief and blessing for Benji and Shawnna what a great Christmas present. Madison was so excite when I told her we were driving over to see them at first she wasn't sure about holding him but in a moment she was ready to be all over the poor child. She especially wanted to try out his cool toys.

Hey cuz

And of course a great time horsing around with Uncle Benji and Aunt Shawnna.
So my mom informed me that she was constantly being disappointed when checking the blog since I hadn't posted since Christmas. So I have a lot of catching up to do.
Madison and I were able to fly to Texas to visit with my family and for me to attend my little sister's graduation from college. We had a great time visiting and hanging out with everyone.
Madison and Grandma playing together.
My Mom and I photo courtesy of Madison but the photo actually turned out pretty good.
Pretend camp fire, aka brown paper bag from Jason's Deli. Who knew they made more then great food.
Here Grandma put your hand in the fire. Nice Madison like Grandma hasn't burned her hands enough. I still have scarred memories from those fires in my childhood. Yes I still hate flames and can't light a candle without a flame stick (giant click lighter).
Madison with Aunt Bek and Uncle Justin in front of their first Christmas tree. Thanks for having us over to your place.
Yeah she did it! Bachelors in Physical Therapy check. Graduate PhD program here she comes.
I love this photo of us. So proud of you! So glad you stuck with it, now fill in those apps to finish the rest Mrs. Laird.

Matt covered in graphite looking like a coal miner or something. But he is loving working on the drilling rigs making great money.
Madison playing with Matt, she doesn't care that he is dirty she loves playing with Matt and all his crazy voices. She loves that he is not afraid to get down and play on her level. I know she thinks he is just a "big kid." Thanks Matt for being such a great uncle!
Madison with Grandma and PaPa Gillette opening her Tinkerbell movie. But she had to wait till Christmas for her other presents because they had been shipped to our house
Madison and her silly smiles with Grandma.
Its been a few years since Grandma played doll house but it didn't take her long to remember how to play with Madison's precise instructions.
We had a great time in Texas as always. We ate great food and had lots of laughs. I can't wait to come back and "Lord willin" moving closer at least for a few years. We love you all and sorry I didn't get pictures of Tre, Christina and Michael, next time I will do better.
Sure wish I could find a good setting on my camera to get a decent picture of the tree all lit up. This will have to do for now.
Madison's favorite ornament this year. We have heard this play the Little Einstein's theme song no less that 50 times already.
Madison making her jammies glow with the lights.
Chocolate Advent fun. She just doesn't understand why we can't open more then one per day. When we read the scripture behind the doors and I quiz her on the meaning of Christmas and who the people are in the photo she is quick to respond. I am really proud of how good she is doing. We haven't really talked much about Santa because I really want her to focus on Christ coming to Earth for her. She knows we Celebrate Christmas for baby Jesus's birthday and that Mary and Joseph are his Earthly parents and that Jesus is God's Son. Hearing those words from her mouth just mean so much. Just like when she asks to sing Jesus Loves the Little Children every night at bed. Last night we got a rock and roll version complete with air guitar. Madison some day when you read this I want you to know you are such a treasure to us and we wouldn't trade a moment of it for anything else. May you come to know Christ as your personal Lord and Savior at an early age.
Love you more!
This morning while I was folding laundry Madison was watching a sledding episode of Max and Ruby. She got the brilliant idea that she would go and get the lid to one of her Rubbermaid toy containers and use it as a sled. When I returned to the room from transporting folded laundry I said what are you doing? She said oh I'm skiing, don't you want to take my picture. Well my child has figured out that yes I want to take her picture practically every time she does something I just don't want to forget. This girl is going to be a handful in a few years. Wow. I also think she is trying to break her neck or injure herself before Christmas, just what we need another broken tooth or a neck collar for Christmas. She definitely gets that from Chris I was hoping to avoid broken bones but looks as those we may have a few in our future.
