Some things I've been working on

Here are a few more of my projects that have recently gone from WIP's to FP's. For those not familiar with stitcher lingo ;) , WIP = work(s)-in-progress and FP = finished product.

A custom order: rasta colored ear-flap beanie. Who knew that going into late-May, we'd still be wearing beanies?!?! Personally, I think the thing is hideous but hey, if you're gonna pay me to make it, I'll gladly take your money! ;)

Blue baby throw with white picot stitch edging

Light blue baby throw with crab stich edging - SOLD!!

My first attempt with cotton yarn: large market bag

And the one that I'm DETERMINED to finish. This one has been quite a frustration so far...

I'm getting excited about learning and using new stitches and techniques. After I use up all of the yarn that I just bought, I'm going to start to get focused on making things inspired by my "shop" name: Three Dog Designs. Stay tuned!!

Hobby into something more...?

A friend of mine has been doing the craft fair circuit for a while now and I just recently jumped into it with her. Minor digression: I had NO IDEA there was a craft fair circuit! I wonder if it's like a rodeo circuit, complete with stitcher bunnies (instead of buckle bunnies), moving from town to town, leaving a string of broken hearts, and broken yarn, in the path.

Anyway, I've been to a couple of shows with her and so far, haven't had any luck as far as selling anything. She's sold a few things though and while I'm slightly envious, it made me realize that I need to diversify my goods and try to bring things that nobody else has. That realization really hit home at a craft fair this last weekend: I was one of at least three vendors selling the flower headband things. Sooo, Josh, of all people!, has given me some really good ideas and I'm going to try those out at the next events. We've got one coming up on the 15th so I'm hoping to have a few more, and different, things available.

Here are a couple of pictures though of the popular headbands.
