cailin and lyla
my bff from hair school came for a visit a couple days ago.
cailin was born right in between her 2 kids. lyla is 6 months
older than cailin and jax is 6 months younger. it was fun to
see these guys play and interact with one another.
here's cailin and jax. this was taken right after she
went in for a kiss. he liked it.

crazy tree stump
after we went apple picking we stopped at a park nearby
and cailin had a blast climbing around in these huge
tree stumps that were originally from the grounds of
monticello. she's going to be a great climber just like daddy.
uh oh, brady got stuck.

carter mountain apple picking
we took our annual trip to carter mountain today.
it was a beautiful day and the 3 of us had tons
of fun. we started out with the pumpkin patch and then
headed out to the trees for apple picking. its getting
harder to get cailin to look at the camera so we just
have to go with it. and this first picture is to prove that i was
there. i was the one behind the camera most of the day.
she picked this apple and didn't let go.
mmmm, apple cider donuts. daddy ate 6 of them.
and she finished this whole apple. it kept her very busy.

the milk trick
this is what i have to do to trick cailin into drinking milk.
ever since we took the bottle away i've had such a hard time
getting her to drink milk. she'll take juice from a sippy cup
NO PROB, but milk is a no go. she always wants to drink out
of my cups with straws so after i finished my chick fil a today
i cleaned out my cup and filled it with milk. works like a charm.

buckets
lately cailin won't really eat while in her
booster chair sitty thing. more food ends up on the
floor than in her mouth so we've resorted to this.
little "buckets" (as i like to call them) for her
food. sometimes every food is separated and
sometimes they're all mixed together. either way
she likes to have at least 2 so that she can transfer from
one to the other. i'm not sure why this is, but it works.
hi, i'm eating. can you get that thing out of my face?
mmmmmm....grapes.
hmmmm, now which one shall i try?
this one looks good.
and yes i also have a milk sippy cup AND a juice sippy cup.
this girl likes options!!!!

shopping cart
nana got cailin her own little shopping cart. she
loves putting all her treasures in it and strolling around
the house. she even sometimes insists on having her
baby sit in the front part while her other things
occupy the main compartment. such a good little
mommy. and i just love this dress. holy cow,
girls are so fun to dress. i just love it.

at the park
today was so nice out so after cailin's
nap we took a trip to the park. she
LOVED it. she was so brave going down the
slides all by herself and climbing the stairs
and jungle gyms. it was fun to see her be "so big".
she was about to go down the slide when
another kid ran by so she had to stop to say hi.

so relaxed i thought she was going to fall asleep,
but not too soon after this picture she told
