target for only 12 bucks. RAD!!
she's pretty good at blowing them herself too.
i'm actually pretty impressed.

on a rainy day
we kept cailin very busy on a rainy day inside.
she played with play doh for the first time. loved it.
and kept herself very busy with it as you can see.
we also put together puzzles and drove cars around.
then we got in the bath and blew bubbles. mainly
because she would say buuubles buuubles over and
over again and then got out the paints and let her go to
town in the bath tub. she had great fun using her artistic
side. then nana, mimi, matty and jess came over after
her nap to play. she had a good fun-filled day.

grammy make it
i have this dress that my grammy made for me when i was 2.
i have a video of me wearing it and having a full blown conversation
with my dad about how "grammy make it." because of my vast vocabulary
in the video im guessing i was closer to 3. i got this dress out and tried it on cailin. im
pretty sure she's much taller than i was at almost 2 because its so short on her.
anyway, here are some pics of C wearing a dress made by her great grammy
and worn for the first time by her mama at 2. pretty cool.

beachin' it
our first beach day of 2012 arrived yesterday. it was a beautiful
day in VA beach. we met some friends down there and had
fun sittin' on the sand, talking, and watching the kids
run around. it was quite windy and the water was too
cold for swimming but it was a good kick off to the summer.
she loved filling up and bucket of water with sand.
cailin kept coming around and pushing this water toy
onto my face. it hurt. i didn't like it. brady was getting her back.
brady kept trying to throw cailin up in the air
but was having a hard time doing so because
she wouldn't let go of his arms. silly girl.
run run run
my sweet beach babe
walking back to the truck. she loved her momo (elmo) bathing suit.
she would frequently look down, touch elmo, and say "momo" happily.
cailin was so fun and loved the sand. it made me realize that
this year will be a lot more fun with her at the beach than last year.
and once the water gets warmer i think she'll like that part too.

fixin' it
last week when we got cailin her little table
and chairs from ikea she watched me put it all together.
later that day i caught her "working on her chair". she
had gone into the laundry room, got this wrench out of
the tool box and tapped it on her chair in different places.
she really does watch EVERYTHING.

thank you pinterst
i love pinterest. i've found great recipes, household tips,
sewing tutorials, and little activities to keep cailin busy.
this one was so easy and she loved it. i saved an empty wipe
bucket, filled it with folded fabric scraps and away she went.
i sometimes find that she has pulled most, if not all, of the wipes
out of a container and it really annoys me so this is a great replacement.

apple lovin' and too close
brady caught us two ladies snuggled on the couch
enjoying our apple products last week. i thought this picture
was funny and cute. me with my iphone and cailin with the ipad.
and please excuse the nice xmas pj pants. they are too comfortable.
cailin was funny the other night sitting in her baby doll stroller
pulled up to her toy box reading a book, playing on the iphone
and enjoying a snack. she played like this for a good 20 minutes.
cailin rarely will look at the camera when you are trying to get a picture
of her and when she does, she leans in slowly, getting WAY too close
to even focus on. its pretty funny....and frustrating.

easter brunch and easter on parade
we had a little easter brunch with matty, jess, and
my mom at this really cool restaurant called

after brunch we went down to monuement ave for an
easter festival of sorts. it was nice weather, lots of people
and a good time had by all. it would have been better
if i would have had a stroller cuz c was tired and i'm
pretty sure she would have fallen asleep if i would have
been a bit more prepared. oh well. you live and learn.
