color me RAD!!!!

i've always wanted to do a color run. they

just look like so much fun. no pressure.

so that's what i did yesterday. to make it even

better i skipped out of work to do it.

i ran with these 2 fun ladies and even though

i got a color bomb thrown right in my eye at the finish

line i had a blast. totally doing it again next year.

the mall

if there's one question that cailin asks

a lot its, "can we go to the mall?"

she loves going there. she loves to

visit old navy and there is an indoor play

area that she could spend hours in.

so happy its warm

spring has hit here in richmond. no one is

happier than my outdoor loving girl.

she's even more happy to be wearing just

a dress. no pants. no shirts underneath.

its the little things in life.

i just love those little rosy cheeks.

shopping helper

cailin loves these "baby carts" at

the grocery store. she insisted on pushing

it all by herself. "don't touch it mama."

thats just fine with me. i'd rather her want to

use that than those carts with the huge plastic

car on the front that are so hard to steer.

i love this little helpful girl.

garden

this year i was very determined to grow a garden

in my backyard. i've wanted to do this for a

couple years, but thought it was "too hard".

i decided to get over my fears of a failed garden and

simply try. i had brady build me a box, then i took the truck to

yard works where i had the nice burly men fill the

back of the truck with a compost soil mix, and

then i transferred that soil to my garden, picked out

some vegetable seeds and planted away.

im very excited to hopefully see my little seed grow into

yummy foods. cailin helped me plant and was very disappointed

when we were done because she didn't see the vegetables right then.

the other day when i was taking pics of c,

she insisted on taking some herself.

i told her to look in the view finder,

blurry and pointed up, but i thought these

"i need to do a workout"

i wear a this headband or one like it when i go for a run

or do a strength training workout at home. recently i

have found cailin with one on saying, "come on mama.

we need to do a workout." and she'll start running in place,

jumping up and down or put her face on the carpet (thats

her idea of a push-up). with all that being said i just

had to snap a few shots of her headband wearing cuteness.

i just love this kooky little girl way too much.

i love how concentrated she is on my iphone.

and the fact that the headband has crept down

her forehead is pretty awesome too.

easter

we had a little egg dyeing party last weekend right

before easter. cailin had the best time turning

her eggs colors, but the pink ones were her favorite.

shocking, i know.

c spent the night with nana on saturday so

she woke up to an easter basket there.

it was hidden in the tub, that's why she's sitting

on the bathroom floor.

it was a cold and rainy day so we had a very

lame egg hunt in our front room when we got

home. i'm actually a little embarrassed to show these

pics because it was that lame.
