Christmas Memories ~

We celebrated Christmas on the 26th since my dad was called into work due to a fire at the refinery...while he was away we went sledding outside in the snow. At first Ruthie was very serious about sledding but eventually she started smiling (especially when she took some nice nose-dives in the snow). There's also some pictures of Christmas Eve. One picture is us kissing at the exact same spot we had our first kiss at our wedding. We also were able to hang out with some good friends who have an adorable girl who's three weeks younger than Ruthie.

Ruthie's Mukluks

Grandma Shilloy bought Ruthie mukluks the other day. She's getting used to walking with them in the snow. They look so warm and snuggly that I put them on her even for church . . . so far she seems to not mind :)

Preparing for Alaska

Since Brad's dad needed help cutting up deer meat, I figured it was good practice for me to participate . . . due to the fact that I might end up washing and cutting up whale blubber, seal, moose, caribou, etc. in Alaska. Even Ruthie helped out a bit.

Montana Blizzard & Mad's Birthday

Lately it's been cold here...the last couple days have been below zero! We're hoping our blood thickens so we can get used to this weather again. Ruthie seems to enjoy the outdoors and snow (although there is a picture above that would suggest otherwise). Also, I celebrated my birthday yesterday...Ruthie bought me some granola bars. Very thoughtful of her since they're my favorite and they don't sell them in some stores here (Brad bought them while he was in Texas last week). It's also nice to have babysitters so willing and accessible...my parents babysat Ruthie nearly the entire day! Brad and I haven't had that long of a date since before she was born. We had a good time, even though it was freezing out :)
