Ruthie's New Hairdo ~

We finally resorted to having Ruthie's bangs cut the other day. I was trying to grow her bangs out and they were almost there, but lately we've found food stuck in her hair so we figured it was time for a trim. :) Once we got into the barber shop Ruthie ran to the door and wanted out. I think she knew whatever was to commence was for her and she wasn't too sure about it. Eventually she settled down and did a great job being still for the hairstylist to cut her bangs. She looks so darling with her new hairdo!

Naomi's One Month Birthday ~

Naomi turned one month on February 23. I also posted a picture of our two beautiful daughters. We are blessed!

Horseback Riding ~

Brad helped out at a friend's ranch on Monday. The girls, their grandparents and I drove to see him while moving cattle. I was so excited to be able to ride Brad's horse part of the way. Even Ruthie got a chance to ride! She loves horses and it was sweet to see her get so happy. Naomi did a great job sleeping in her carseat during this time :) I hope one day she'll enjoy horses and want to ride too. [Added are some random photos].

Naomi's First Valentine ~

The night before Valentine's day Brad and I went to a banquet with Naomi. We were impressed by how she quietly slept in her carseat the whole time. A couple of these pictures are of Naomi wearing a Valentine dress I made last year for Ruthie. It's a bit big for her but it was still fun to see her in it. Also, I posted a picture of me with my new short haircut. I think this is the shortest I'll ever go from now on! :)

Rambo Ruthie ~

The cute things Ruthie has been doing lately:
*The other day Naomi was crying in her bed and before we could do anything Ruthie went over and popped the binkie in Naomi's mouth
*She shows her appreciation and thanks by doing a sweet curtsy
*She's been twirlying around the house and dancing
*On Sunday Brad went to pick her up at the nursery and told her to clean up a bit...after she put away a few toys she grabbed the toy vacuum and began vacuuming
*She puts her arms up to show off her strong muscles

Random Array of Photos ~

We heard from our good friends about this great baby carrier so our parents pitched in together and bought us one for Naomi. Brad and I went on our first "official" date since Naomi came. We went for a long walk near a historical site in Laurel. Even though it was a short date, it was still nice to get out and just be together. It's been fun to watch Ruthie and Naomi *play together. I can't wait for Naomi to get older so they can interact more with each other.
*This term implies the idea that the girls play together, but right now it really just means Ruthie holds Naomi's hand and kisses her...but not much more than that :)
