Ruthiebell:

We were listening to John Piper online and Ruthie heard Piper say, "Know me," referring to Jesus talking . . . she immediately starting saying "Nomi, Nomi" and pointed to Naomi.

She kept trying to get Naomi to come her way, but her little sister refused to budge. She, therefore, resorted to manipulation . . . she took Nae Nae's binkie and enticed her to come by saying, "Come here Nae Nae, come here Nae Nae!" She's a fun girl!

I think she enjoys telling Naomi "no." She noticed that we didn't let Naomi touch a specific item and before we knew it she grabbed the item and placed it in front of Naomi and barely let her touch before saying, "No, no Nae Nae." Then she would do it again and again. We had to stop this behavior, of course :)

Naomi:

She stood by herself a few times . . . for a couple seconds.

She likes being tickled on her belly. She laughs so hard! It's sweet.

She had two ear infections the last couple months. Ruthie ended up getting an ear infection too. We're glad they're over it now and we can all get some sleep again.

Naomi's eating several fruits and vegetables now.

Naomi sits SO well in the grocery cart . . . this sounds like a silly accomplishment but to us it's such a blessing (especially with two little girls so close in age).

Ruthiebell:
She interchanges the words "higher" and "more" sometimes. The other day I poured milk in her bowl and instead of saying more she said, "Higher, higher!"
Brad was sick last week and we went into the room to see how he was...I said to Ruthie that daddy was sick and she said, "Pray." She then bowed her head and we prayed for him then she kissed his hand...so sweet :)
She's really into bandaids right now...she bumped into a chair (barely bumped it) and immediately stated, "Bandaid!"
Sometimes Ruthie will take it upon herself to be the mommy and tell Naomi no whenever she feels like it.

Naomi:
She's responding to her name.
She's learning the word "no."
Naomi seems to gravitate toward the VCR so much during the day...this is where the word "no" comes into practice :)
She giggles at her cousins and sister...she likes small faces.
