Naomi's Walking ~

One day Ruthie asked where Jesus was and we said you can find Him in the Bible...now she'll tell us that she wants Jesus to "Come!" Yes indeed, come Lord Jesus!

Naomi is saying "Baba" for bottle and "Dada" for Daddy. Her habit of saying "Mama" has been replaced by her Daddy's name. :)

Brad was apparently being too loud because Ruthie closed her eyes and said, "Too loud, Daddy, too loud!"

When we were driving Ruthie demanded I come back and sit with her...when I didn't respond as promptly as she desired, she began to make clicking noises (like one does to get a horse to come) and saying, "Come Mama, come!"

I was reading my Bible and Ruthie said she wanted to attend a Bible study (Brad went to one the night before, hence where she got the idea), so she grabbed her coloring book and a crayon...I asked her who her Bible study leader was and she responded matter of factly, "John Jacob."

Ruthie's been naming all her babies John Jacob...we can only surmise that she got this name from that John Jacob Jingle Himer Schmit (not sure on that spelling) song.

The other day she declared that her husband is named John Jacob. We'll have to note this in case it comes true :)

Before we took a drive we told Ruthie that Grandma Cheryl was coming too...she looked delighted and said, "Thank you!"

Nae's been taking steps the last few weeks and now is attempting to walk "long distances." :)

Naomi loves green beans! She can eat so many of them. She also likes cheese a lot.

Nae's Ten Month Birthday ~

Our beautiful Naomi Cheryl turned ten months November 23. She's getting to be such a fun girl! Her and her sister giggle together and I love watching them interact. We like to play doctor on Ruthie's baby and Nae likes to be the nurse (she has no choice since Ruthie is the patient's mamma and I'm the novice doctor) :)

Static Electricity and Long Hair ~

Ruthie wasn't fond of me taking her picture but I liked the way her hair looked standing up straight!

Best Friends ~

I love to see the girls play together. I added a picture of Brad and Naomi just because I love them both :)

A "Good" Example ~

Ruthie gets this bad habit from her Daddy :)

Nae's New Toy ~

Naomi has been carrying this machine gun toy around with her lately. She doesn't enjoy it when I take it from her.

Joni and Friends ~

The girls really enjoy Miss Joni. She spent some time with us this last week and when she left Ruthie was sad. A few days after Joni left Ruthe was still asking, "Where Joni?" :)

Mad's First Buck ~

I figured since my husband is such an avid hunter I better learn how to shoot a gun so we can go hunting together. I must say the gun was heavy! I won't tell how many shots I took at this buck but I finally got him. I think my brothers and my dad would be proud since they tried to get me to shoot a gun for years but I was too scared. :)

Ekalaka Friends ~

We had a good time hanging out with some native Ekalakans this weekend. Ruthie enjoyed the four kids...I guess we know that she likes trucks and guns since she played with the boys most of the time. :)

The Joys of Having Daughters ~

*The sun was in Ruthie's eyes during one of our trips and she said, "Too bright, turn it off!"
*She now enjoys oatmeal so much I wonder if she'll turn out like her friend, Jude, who apparently likes oatmeal enough to choose it over ice cream (astounding!). She gets frustrated if she doesn't get oatmeal in the morning, even when I offer her Golden Grahams!
*When Ruthie saw my hair pulled up in a ponytail she declared, "Ha ha!" I know it's short but it's nothing to laugh at ;)
*Cheryl told us that Ruthie was sad one night and when asked why she said, "I miss my Mama." This was when we left the girls with their grandparents one weekend...her declaration made me nearly cry.
*Lately she's been asking to pray for "Ronda's baby." :)
*Naomi stood up the other day unassisted...she almost took her first steps after that but aborted her efforts and resorted to crawling again.
*I heard stories that when you leave your baby for a few days they might not recognize you, but I was so happy that Naomi was excited to see us.
*Her grandma said that when she changed Nae's diaper that she would stretch her legs out and do a little giggle, like she was teasing her.

Wyoming, Kansas, Colorado ~

The Lord opened doors for us to share at two churches and a small group this last weekend. We traveled to Wyoming, Kansas and Colorado...it ended up being a short trip with LOTS of travel so we were blessed to have Brad's parents babysit for us. Ruthie and Naomi had a good time with them, although I think they gave Cheryl their cold. We were blessed to spend some time with my sister who put together a meeting...it was a great time. :)
