Red Lodge Mountain ~

This is our Christmas gift from both sets of parents. Brad's parents gave us the money (thanks), and my parent's babysat the girls for us (thanks also). We went to Red Lodge Mountain, about a 45-minute drive. These pictures aren't as clear because we didn't want to get our camera wet, so we ended up bringing our camcorder instead. I love to ski! It was a nice day and the slopes were pretty good.

Happy Birthday Naomi Cheryl ~

Our beautiful Naomi Cheryl turned one year old yesterday! Two exciting facts about our little girl turning one year old: No more formula and now she can be in a front-facing carseat. How exciting! :) I made Nae these surprise ice cream cones. I put M&M's inside the cone and placed two cupcakes on top and coated with buttercream frosting. It was fun making them. Nae ate her whole cupcake and appeared to enjoy it. Grandma Cheryl bought the girls the two Christmas outfits pictured above (they cost only $2 on sale after Christmas). Anyway, they looked cute in them. Happy Birthday Naomi Cheryl, we love you!

A Ruthie Grin ~

Whenver we take a picture of Ruthie and tell her to smile, she'll give us this cheesy grin. When Brad took this picture of me I was trying to copy Ruth. Pretty close resemblence I think :)

Reading Time ~

Ruthie and Naomi love to read. Especially Nae. She'll grab a book and come up to us, sit on our lap and listen to us read for a long time. Then she'll go back, grab another one and do that over and over again. She's sweet. It's fun to watch Ruthie read to Nae too...even though the book can sometimes be upside down :)

Go Bulldogs! ~

Our family likes to attend basketball games and last week we went to a Bulldog's game. We've only gone twice this year but we remembered Ruthie didn't care for the loud buzzer so we brought mufflers for her this time. She wore them the entire game. It's funny because she loves the drums in the band (and that's pretty loud), but she'll always cover her ears with the buzzer. During halftime I shot a three pointer (it was one of those raffle things). Anyway, I like that the girls do so good at games because both Brad and I like watching basketball.

Children are a Blessing ~

The Joys of Having Daughters:
Ruthie's been caught spitting in her hands and rubbing them together, saying that she's putting on lotion (*Important Information: I do not take credit for this action and am oblivious to where she got the idea). :)

Ruthie hurt herself and was crying, so Nae walked over and gave her a big hug. I love that!

Another time Ruthie fell down and I ran over there to see if she was okay, but before I could comfort her she stopped crying altogether and declared, "Vitamin will make me happy!"

The other day Naomi got onto the couch...then this morning Brad found her on the chest, standing up, laughing and clapping her hands. It's only by God's grace that children are safe!

Ruthie's been memorizing verses and I pray she (and Nae) will hunger for God's Word more and more.

Naomi was crying while we were driving home and Ruthie said, "Turn Nae Nae down! Too loud!"

I enjoy the times when Ruthie wants me to tell her stories in the dark...she and Naomi will crawl on our bed and have us tell them stories.

I love waking up to Ruthie's hugs and kisses. Today Nae walked to me and gave me a hug and a kiss too.

When the phone rings Naomi will put her hand to her ear and babble like she's on the phone.

One time Ruthie said, "Mama, very pretty!" I was encouraged by this compliment...until she turned to Brad and said, "Dadda, very pretty too!" So much for the compliment! :)
