Coming Home
As many of you know, my mother and her husband have been serving a humanitarian mission for our church in Beirut, Lebanon. They have had a wonderful time serving the Lord and his people over there. I do have to say I will be happy when they are back on U.S. soil...there have been many scares with bombings, etc., but they have been safe and feel they have been productive over there. I just thought I would post a few pictures from their time over there. They return on March 6th.

Tunes Tag
I've been tagged by my High School friend Tamara...aka: Nelly. She tagged her "Canadian" friends. Rules are simple, although I am bound to break them - pick 5 songs from your music collection and explain why you love them. These may not all be my current favs - but I do love them, none the less.
1. I will start with the 80's since my memories of Nelly brought me there. I love the 80's...I am a child of the 80's and proud of it. So, with that in mind I love ANY music from then. But, my all time favorite from that time would have to be DEF LEPPARD - "Pour some sugar on me" and "Let's get rocked". I figured if they could look like that and get away with it, I could look like I did too. (Just remember 80's blue eyeliner and "bi-level" hair cuts were SO cool. Back me up on this Tam or I'll post a great picture I have of you with your cool blue eyeshadow...)

2. Country music...I love Country Music. All of it...from old to new. This genre of music has a lot of heart break and love lost songs. At one time I really related to that kind of music...like Lisa Brokops "Take that". I'll leave it at that...But I do love country. It's in my blood.

3. LeAnn Rhimes - "But I Do Love You". This song describes parts of me...
"I don't like to be alone at night, and I don't like to hear I'm wrong when I'm right. I don't like to have the rain on my shoe, But I do love you. I don't like to turn the radio on, just to find I missed my favorite song. I don't like to be the last when I lose...But I do love you."

4. Fergie - "London Bridge", "Fergalicious", and "Clumsy". The edited versions of course. Why Fergie, you ask? She makes me move. These are great running songs. Maybe I'll have a body like hers too one day if I keep listening to these songs! ha

5. Nickelback - "Photograph". As you can see, I like to look back at old photographs. As the song says, "it's time to say good-bye", like to these dresses we are wearing!ugh Nothing like a prom fashion show...at the church.
And, " I miss their faces", and "I could re-live those days." I loved growing up in the 80's. Did I say that already? I do miss all their faces though. I love to see them blogging now...I wish I could see more of them! This song reminds me of that time for some reason.

Now it's my turn to tag someone. So now that those of you who didn't know me then got a peak, I want to tag my Texas sister in laws....Danielle, Terin, and Britta. (Michelle, you need to get a blog!)
