The truth is the word "suck" in and of itself really doesn't bother me. If a friend used the word in a conversation it really would not bother me. What really bothered me about this situation is that the kid was so loud, all my kids were there, and we were at church. The hallway a church just shouldn't sound like the one at school.
Sheila wanted to know what I did. I motioned with my hand for them to shut up but they didn't. Normally I probably would have said something after they continued, but didn't want to bring more attention. I wasn't sure my kids had herd and didn't want to bring attention to it.

That Suck!
So, tell me what do you think of the word sucks? The other day I was walking down the hallway at Church and there was a youth walking towards my family. He was with another young man saying very loudly over and over Wylie Sucks, Cooper Sucks...
My question to you is would that offend you, and if it did what would you have done about it.

Family Night
Our lives have been so crazy busy (just like yours I'm sure.) It seems like we haven't done anything as a family for a while. We have No TV and computer night on Mondays, but it seems like even those Monday have been invaded the last couple of months. Illness, sing song, and all kinds of other stuff has gotten in the way.
Tonight however we put the homework away, ignored the TV and computer, and had some fun family time. Some we had homemade pizza for dinner, and dessert and table talk (family bible get the talk started cards.) We made our Valentine place mats that are weeks overdue to be made. We also had a very fun family devo. We talked about how God always helps us when we have a challenge, he is aways there for us. We did a "challenging" floor puzzle the we did together as a family, because one of the ways Gods helps us with a challenge and provided our family and teacher to help us.
The truth is Arthur and I weren't really up for it tonight. He's not feeling well, Kase has a fever so he's not in the best mood, and I got about 3 hours of sleep taking care of Kase who was up most of the night. I am glad that we pushed threw.
I just love it when we take time for our family devos. I am always so amazed at how much the girls know about the Bible. They have had some wonderful teachers at church, as well as school. Our last devo we talk about how God makes everyone, and I encouraged eveyone to write a note for each member of our family telling them how they are special. Samantha was the only one who remember other than me. Her notes were so sweet, she had one for everyone, she did them on her own with out help, and each note was different. They were so sweet.

I'm Done!
Well I'm done with dittos. All 116 item have been entered into the computer. Not nearly as many as I've had in the past. No time to get every little stain out, or dig through the over flowing toy box. Now I just have to dig my house out to the wreckage that dragging have the garage into my house causes.

Dittos for Kiddos
Dittos for Kiddos is just one of the many things that has been a causality of my many jobs taking up my time. I usually work 3 shifts, spend 3 or 4 days getting all my stuff ready, and another part of a day dropping off. The truth is I really like dittos, but I just no longer have time for it.
This year..... Tomorrow is the day. I've dedicated the day to dittos, and other than dropping off that's all it's getting. Whatever I get done goes to dittos, and what does not goes back to the garage.

Truckin' Along
There's not much exciting going on at our house. Ally's been running a fever for the last couple of days, but having someone sick seems to be the norm right now instead of out of the ordinary. She really doen't feel to bad, but it's her asthma has kick in because of it. So, were keeping her in to make sure she doesn't get anything else and get really bad. There were a ton of kids out of school today, so it was peacful. I'm hoping they were all of vaction, but I doubt it. It's was McDonald's day which is always a fun lunch.

We Survived!

Well it was a couple of weeks late, but we finaly had Samantha's birthday party. A SLUMBER PARTY! What's more fun than 10 giggly girls at your house all night.
Samantha chose to have a Winter Wonderland Party. It was lots of fun. The girls made snowmen (toilet paper and scarves), threw snowballs (balloon and marshmellows), and ate melted snow (white chocolate fountain.) After all the games and snacks theysettled into movies and sleeping bags. They were all asleep by at least 1:30 a.m. which I thought was pretty good, and there were no strange children in our bed.

Not Ready!
I feel like I have been living in a constant state of I'M NOT READY! Samantha's party is Friday for which I'm not ready. It was supposed to be last week, but I wasn't ready. I have a ton of work for all my jobs and of course none of it is ready. The list goes on and on!
Does anybody know when the pool opens?

Big Bunch of Cheaters!
I am not a big sports fan, and in fact pay very little attention to any sports. I can actually attend a game in person and not be able to to tell you anything about it. (the exception is I love to go to the Rangers game) Anyway my husband loves football, and my son loves anything that involves a ball. Arthur listens to sports radio in the morning as he is getting ready, and although I could care less I often hear what they are talking about.
The day before the supper-bowl there was lots of Football talk. Was the talk of who they thought would win, who had the best offence or defence, or who was injured? No they were talking about Cheating, because it seems now a days you can't play professional sports without cheating. The Patriots where caught illegaly tapping another team earlier in the season. I am so glad the cheaters lost!
What is really sad to me about all the cheating (from drugs to illegal tapping) is that no one seems to care or do anything about it. This particular cheating "hasn't been proven," because the NFL covered the whole thing up! At team that has cheated at any point in the season shouldn't be Allowed in the superbowl. The fans shouldn't be in the stans cheering them on.
Our little boys and girls no longer have appropiate sport characters to look up to. For many children sports are very important to them, and professional sports have always been the ultimate heros.
Maybe all my kids will be in choir!

Samantha turns 7!
Yesterday Samantha turned seven. Samantha loves her birthday. All of my kids love their birthday, but not like Samantha. She is totaly crazy about it. The 100th day of school was one her birthday, so she wore 100 birthday candles to school. (I have a picture, but I can't get it to post) Samantha got to party all day long at school, and she had a great time. This year we signed the girls up to do sing song, so after school we went to practice.
After practice we went to Red Robin for dinner. (a family favorite) Samantha got to open her present and we ordered some yummy deserts. The girls got milk shakes and Kase got a cake large enough for the whole family to share. It took us a long time to convince him that whole thing wasn't his. He had no intrest in letting anyone else have even the tinest bite.
