Kids Christian Music

I promised for good stuff from my CPC conference. One of the best things at this conference is great music. There were a lot of groups performing this year.

My new favorite is Phil Joel. He is from Austrailia, and began deliberate kids after he became the worship leader for his churches children's worship. My kids LOVE his CD. They even have a family devotional book that goes with the CD. They are currently touring the United States. I do not think you can get his CD in the bookstore, but it is worth ordering it online.

Seeds Family Worship is also a favorite of my family. They have a new CD out Seeds of Praise, and it is a good one. This CD has a new type of packaging. You get two CD's for $12 and is packaged in such a way that you can give the exta CD to a friend. Isn't that a neat idea. Their website is also a great family resource. It has lots great family activities on it. You can get Seeds CD's in the Christian bookstores, but I'm not sure about the newest ones packaged in two's.

Go Fish has a new CD out called Party like a Pre-schooler. I was a little disappoint that this wasn't christian songs, but since have had several friends with toddler say that their kids love it. So if you need a toddler CD I think it's a good one. Also their older CD's are really great. We have them all and love them. You can buy these at the book store, and they also tour and have a list of locations on their website.

Pure NRG is for the tween goup. They have an upbeat sound. You can also purchase DVD's. One of those DVD has the kids testimonies. I think is a great think for our kids to hear other kids talk about their faith. You can get these guys CD at lifeway, and they also have a tour listed on their website.

They are all great groups! Go and check them out!

Jellyfish

Several years ago I was lucky to get to hear Phil Vischer, the creator of Veggie Tales, speak. It was one of the best talks I've ever heard. Most of his talk can be read in his book Me, Myself, and Bob. It's a great read, and I recomend it.

Right he has a utube video posted on his blog that refers to that book. If one quote could sum up his book this is it. Go Here to see it. It just a great message!

This last weekend we got to go hear him live! It was so much fun to see him again doing what he loves. Go check him out you can even download him on itunes.

Valentine's Day

Aunt Bethany sent these pillow cases for the kid's for Valentine's. They love to get mail, and they were so excited. She sent each kid's in their own Valentine envelope and they all have their name on them. Kase's has sport material for his name (he was having trouble holding it up)

Normally we have breakfast in bed for Valentine's day, but this year Valentine's was on Saturday. Staying in bed on Saturday morning cartoon day didn't sound like a holiday treat, so we had breakfast on the couch.
Saturday night we had Arthur's family over for dinner. Arthur's Mom's birthday is on Valentine's Day. We had Mexican food for dinner, because it's one of her favorites. Then we had S'mores lava cakes for dinner. Mmmm they were good. It was my first time cooking with remikins and it works out great.

A Monday!

Today was a Monday. I just spent the day cleaning and paying bills. Why is it that no matter how long you clean things never stay clean. Samantha stayed home from school today. She slept until noon. Her tummy is bothering her like always, but she seemed unusually tired. I not sure if she's getting something else or just needed a mental health day.

The Long Awaited Doctor's Appointment!

I'm sure you are all wondering how Samantha has been doing. Basically she has been the same. She still often has bad tummy aches. Yesterday, we finally made it to Cooks to see the urologist. (We have had the appointment for three months) The Doctor was very kid friendly and seemed to really know his stuff.

Basically it's "probably" still that she is so constipated it's messing everything else up. She has a small problem with her opening and he gave us some medication for that. We go back in March to do some more testing to see if she is still constipated and if she having trouble with some of her muscles that release the Pee.

Basically we will know more in March. In April she will have been stuggling with this for a full year.
