New Baby

We had an ultrasound yesterday and found out that we've got another little guy on the way! I hope Tuck and this babe will be best buds. I was a little hopeful that it would be a little girl so I could make frilly things for her with lots of ruffles, but I'm excited to have another sweet little boy. This little guy was really squirmy, like he was saying "quit poking me I'm trying to sleep." Maybe that means he'll be a little calmer than Tuck, who during his ultrasounds was always wiggly and moving all over.

I had my ultrasound at a birthing center not too far away because it was cheaper than having it at the radiology dept. at the hospital. While there I got some info about having a natural birth-no meds, and I'm seriously thinking about going this route. I'm 21 weeks along and so I'm a little nervous about changing from my doctor to a midwife, but it would be an experience, and the cost is less too (we have kind of cruddy insurance). Also my doctor is out on bed rest right now, and I can't say I was too fond of her partner that saw me at my last appointment. Maybe it's a sign to change it up. So I've got to set up a consultation with the birthing center and figure out for sure if this is what I want to do. I think my biggest fear at having a baby natural is that I won't be able to handle the pain-eek! If I go this route then I want to take some hypnobaby classes to help me with that. So yeah, that's that and we'll see how it goes. Adam is encouraging of this decision and tells me that if I can run a half marathon then surely I can give birth unmediated.

Here are some pictures of our new little dude:

His little hand by his face. He kept rubbing his little forehead and nose. Love that.

His face looks upset here, but I think he really was having a good time

Tuck's New Hat

Tucker found this ball catcher thing (descriptive, huh?) in the garage and decided it made a great hat. I think it reminds him of a bike helmet, and that's why he used it this way. But then it could just be because he's a little boy and everything can be used as a hat.

Bountiful Baskets

This week we participated in our local Bountiful Baskets, and it was BOUNTIFUL! We are excited for all of the fresh produce we got. Take a look at our bounty this week:

Our extended family has been participating in this food co-op of sorts for awhile now, but it has just recently come to our town. They have them all over Utah and some in other states as well. It's 15 dollars for the basket plus 1.50 for handling fees, but we estimated that it would have cost us at least 25 dollars to buy at the grocery store what we got in our basket today. I'm hoping all this goodness we help us eat more fruits and veggies.
